We were skeptical about coming here because of the bad online reviews stating that the barbershop has been closed whenever customers show up for an appointment. The two occasions we visited, we walked in and there was only one barber, a nice young man in the back. I belive his name is Eric. He was willing and available to cut my son and husband both times. Our son is usually scared of getting his hair cut and the nice young barber in the back got a cool car seat and made it an easy experience for our boy. The cut looked good too! Dad got a handsome haircut and a luxurious beard cleanup. Also, this barber does good brows on men. The customer right before us had gnarly caterpillars for brows and the barber cleaned them up really well. I believe this man's name is Eric. Eric, we appreciate your clean lines and attention to detail. Coming here was way better than the discount chain barbershops in the area that only spend 20 minutes for crooked lines and crappy fades. Found this place while traveling through. Very cool vibe and Tyler was awesome. Got a great haircut at a fair price. Highly recommended.

The place is decorated in honor of the movie Goodfellas. Coming from jersey and growing up with Italian Americans - I found it cute. An older gentleman walked in. He did not receive a greeting. No hello. No nothing. The young barber made him wait without saying anything. As a more younger crowd walked in to get their hair cut, the barber FINALLY spoke to the older gentleman saying it was gonna be a bit of a wait. He made the man wait a good 15 minutes. It's okay to talk to your customers. It's okay to greet them. Maybe next time a greeting and a heads up would be good? The dude with the scissors looked like he was a beast and had some serious skills, but due to lack of professionalism and common courtesy, he wasn't gonna have a new customer. Sooo, I guess if your younger, in the military, then this place would be more for you. read more

This is the first review I have ever done for a business but after my son came back from getting a hair cut and tells me what he experienced at this place I felt compelled to inform people what to expect here. Now I have been here twice myself and after my last visit I will not be going back. When you come into this place, all the barbers look at you like you're an idiot. They don't say one word to you and it's up to you to inquire. Both of the cuts I got were decent, not really complaining about this but after I was done and gave the barber a $20 (cuts are $18) she feels all her pockets and mumbled something about not having change. Terrible acting job, and I was not going to ask for change anyway. So my son went in there today and asked if they were busy and a barber close to the front door said they were and it would be 20-30 minutes. My son sat to wait and a short while later two barbers finished their cuts and both of them walked right past my son, not saying jack sh*t to him and walked outside. Needless to say he got up and left, going elsewhere for a haircut. So my advice to you if you're considering this place, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

Tried this place 2 different times. Scheduled an appointment for 9am. Show up 15 mins early and wait until 9:15, nobody shows up, place is closed. Fast forward a year and I decided to give them another try. Scheduled an appointment for 2pm. Got there at 1:45 and waited until almost 3pm before walking out. 4 people came in after me and got haircuts while I waited. Would not recommend them and will not be coming back. My husband was on the hunt for a barber for a while. He's active duty military and TDY in New Mexico for 6 months (long time to go without a cut). With high recommendation he was recommended to see Curtis at Goodfellas. Definitely a good barber and very personable. Per my husband's experience he highly recommends him and plans to make him his temporary barber while in the Alamogordo area.
