WARNING! Do not sign up for a "Nitro" card! I did on April 20, 2025 and it has caused me nothing…read morebut grief! The local store clerks encouraged me to sign up. But when I did and tried to use the card to buy gas at Maverik it was refused. The store could not figure it out. But I bought a soda on the card and it went through. The nitro card has worked for a soda several times. The clerk/s asked me numerous times to call the corporate number and finally I did. The are located in the Philippines and thus difficult to communicate with. But I was told they couldn't see a not see a problem. I asked for a supervisor but after waiting 15 minutes was told they were too busy but would call me. Well, it never happened! After a few days and encouragement from local Maverik clerks I called again. Same problem except this time a manager finally came on line and told me my account was turned over for collection to a credit bureau. It was for just a few dollars but now my credit is ruined. Until this fiasco with Maverik I had perfect credit. What a mess for me!

Well after paying the pump didn't work properly. The money was prepaid, I followed the directions, took the pump off the hook raised the level and squeezed the handle. Nothing came out and the sale didn't change on the screen. I went inside to talk to the clerk on duty, Marla. Now let me say she was great and the owner is lucky to have her as an employee. I told her the problem and she was going to immediately come out and take a look but I told her it could wait since she had a line of people checking out. After helping each person she came out to check the pump and saw it hadn't issued any gas and recognized there was a problem. Marla then checked the register and saw the sale had cancelled itself out because of the wait caused by the line of customers. At this point Marla was going to refund my card but we both knew that wouldn't solve the problem since a refund isn't immediate and I need the gas to get home. My red light was already on and had been for a while. Because of the situation Marla called her manager Barbara who was offsite to get a resolution that would work. This however turned into a big mistake. I sat there and watched Marla try her best to explain the situation to her manager however Barbara had no idea how to stop taking and actually listen. Right there we wasted 10 minutes. Barbara kept insisting Marla run my card again even after I pulled up my bank account on my phone and showed the amount had already been pre-approved and a hold had been placed on my account. So Barbara's next solution was to refund my card which apparently as a manager she didn't understand isn't immediate and still didn't resolve the issue of me paying for gas to get home. After wasting everyone's time and telling Marla 3x's she didn't want to speak to me she finally gave in and Marla handed me the phone. Now you would think the first thing a manager would do when speaking to an upset customer is introduce herself and apologize for the situation but no her opening line was I understand what's happening and explained to me how they would have to charge me again for gas again. After listening to everything she had to say I kindly explained to her that my card had a hold and the bank had issued an approval code when they ran my card. With that approval code they had received authorization before I could even finish my sentence she interrupted me, said they would have to charge again, in her own words say I was wrong and a liar. I cut her off and said very nicely I let her speak to me without interrupting and I expected the same from her. Apparently expecting any kind of customer service from Barbara shouldn't be expected. She tried to put me in my place and I very directly told her I wanted the name of the owner. She refused and I asked again. Her response "Well have her call him instead of me" I told her that was no problem and I would be more than happy to and hung up. I gave the phone back to Marla and asked her to call the owner when she finished with her line of people. Now at this point I was still polite despite having a manager treat me like crap because she didn't feel like doing her job. Marla did the right thing at this point and apologized for the situation, finished with her line of customers and processed a sale to cover the gas I had already paid for. She then came out to the pump and made sure it worked properly for me. Marla gave amazing customer service and could honestly teach Barbara a lesson about retaining customers and turning a negative situation into a positive one. Because of the time wasted I wasn't able to make my appointment and now have to reschedule and drive to the area again. Which means I have to spend more gas. So it cost me more money to get one gallon. I wasted over 20 minutes to fill up and would have never considered coming back except Marla's effort to make the situation correct is the reason I would give them another chance. If you ever have a problem and have to deal with Barbara's attitude and lack of respect then please be advised the owner is Kheara. If you are lucky enough to have Marla as your clerk than make sure to thank her for being a great employee and let her know she makes a difference m. Because of her people enjoy coming here. My star is strictly for Marla understanding and delivering the customer service that any business needs to retain customers and succeed

What I love about Walgreens photo is that you can upload your pics online through their website and have them printed at any store for pick up or have them mailed to you. They also offer same day pick-up. I was in town running an errand and chose this Walgreens since it was near my errand. When I walked in, I headed to the photo department and quickly and easily picked up my photo. While walking out, I took a quick look around and saw they had Snoop Dog wine. I thought that was pretty cool and surprised to see it. I think I'll go back to pick up a bottle as a novelty.

How do you rate a pharmacy?…read more Is it great? No. Is it the best option in the area? Probably. So what does that mean? I don't know. Sometimes the line moves fast, sometimes it's slow. Some of the people who work here are super friendly and helpful. Some are not. At the end of the day, it's a Walgreens. There's a drive-thru, which is nice. Sometimes it moves quickly, sometimes it doesn't. Also, the parking lot is a nightmare to get in and out of unless you're traveling west on Appleway. Otherwise it's a headache.

Don't shop here! These people seem like they're druggies. Food/candy is often stale. It smells…read moreweird and the people wreak of cigarettes. They seem paranoid to have people parked outside that aren't shopping and act like they have a say over who can pull over, park, while sitting in their vehicle, trying to navigate during house searching. You don't have dominion over the road. Nobody was bothering you. The cashiers are almost always outside smoking- then they touch your items with their smelly, dirty hands!! Unprofessional and gross! Peterson's, Zip Stop or any of the gas stations along Sherman deserve your patronage. Not this stink hole.

This is a good place to stop if you need gas and are hungry because there are plenty of options for food. There is only one row of pumps but I liked that because I have a larger wider vehicle and there was plenty of space between me and the parking area and lots of room for cars to go around. I was able to throw my car garbage away and everything looked relatively clean. The price was also very reasonable for the area.

If you really need something and you live in town you'll drive to Safeway, Walmart, or Dissmore's. For quick things this is a great location. Directly across from a bus stop and by the ZZU it's the only like store in the area. Walkable, bikeable, you can bus to this location as I said and they have parking outside. Parking hosts about twelve spots but I've never seen more than three or four cars parked directly out front at one time. It's a minimart so you'll pay a bit more for the sake of convenience. Want a Gatorade, lighter, cigarettes, energy drink, sixer of beer, ramen noodles, candy, Doritos, or some milk this place has you covered. Not s one stop shop by all means but I'm a pinch it'll keep the party going or tide you over until you can do a real shop. Still bigger than Bob's or Don's on college hill so the selection is decent even if the prices are the same as any seven eleven you've walked through. One cash register so depending on the line inside that takes some time. They're always friendly and you have good conversations with fellow patrons.
