One of the worst doctor's offices I have ever visited. First, the front desk lady has an attitude. Secondly, the doctors act if they are scared to even touch or treat you. They sit in the chair and ask questions like a counseling or therapy session instead of actually trying to figure out what is going on. They just prescribe anything without trying to figure out the root to the problem. I visited the office twice within a week and still have not received proper treatment or know exactly what is going on. They want you to constantly come into the office to pay more money, so they can bill the insurance company to get paid. I will not be returning and would advise others to go elsewhere. read more

Only go to this doctor if you have all the time in the world, and are willing to be treated like crap. The nursing staff has attitude issues, and the doctor is NEVER on time. Last Friday, November 13, I was supposed to have a follow-up appointment with Dr. Adebanjo (either he or his wife). I had deliberately picked their first appointment of the day, 8:15 AM, because I had work at 10 AM, and I had waited about an hour for my last appointment. I arrived about 3 minutes late (8:18), and was almost immediately sent up to an exam room. On the way, the nurse took my weight and blood pressure. I then waited by myself in the room with no updates, no nurse - nothing - until around 9:25 (an hour and 10 minutes). At around that 9:25, I opened the door to my exam room, and waled down the hall to see if I could get an update. I politely explained to the nurse that I had to work at 10 AM, and I had waited an hour and ten minutes by myself, and needed to be seen soon. I then went back to the exam room. About 5-7 minutes later (around 9:30), the nurse knocked on my door, and informed me that Dr. Adebanjo was still making rounds at a hospital, and was not in the office yet. I told her that I was sorry, but I'd have to reschedule. She THEN told me that this happens "all the time," and that once, they had 8 patients waiting, and the doctor didn't get in until 11(!!). I asked what time I should reschedule for, and she told me if it were her, she'd come no earlier than 10 AM. I went downstairs to the administrator/receptionist's desk, and told them I had to go to work, so I needed another appointment. The lady responded, "Well he's almost here now, but you say you can't wait, so I guess you can't." - which was an attitude problem in and of itself. I simply said "no, I can't. I have to go to work.", then "why does he schedule appointments if he *knows* he won't be here??" The receptionist said "I understand," which is NOT an answer. I said, "no really- I'm asking - why schedule appointments when he knows he won't be here?" - she never did respond. I scheduled an appointment for 12:30 PM today, hoping I wouldn't have to spend an hour alone in a room waiting for no reason. When I arrived today, Monday, November 16, I waited for about 10 minutes. Then the nurse from Friday came down and said "Mr. ---, how are you? Dr. Adebanjo wanted me to tell you that you'll need to find another doctor." "Why?", I said. "Well, when you left, we had to explain what happened to his first patient on Friday, and he said he didn't like your attitude, so you'd have to find another doctor," she said. "I waited an hour and 15 minutes for someone who wasn't even *here,* and *he* didn't like *my* attitude?" "That's what he said," she said. "Ok." I got my things (I had brought enough stuff to keep me busy for 2-3 hours), and left. On the way out, I heard, "Have a nice day, Mr. -----!" So, in summary, only come to this doctor if: 1) You have no job, and 2) Your time isn't worth anything. If you're unemployed, then come ahead. He'll see you whenever he gets around to it. I was a new patient, and had my second visit in two weeks for an ongoing problem with pulmonary embolism. I had my appointment, and drove to the office from downtown to the east Memphis office. My insurance is through Blue Care, and when I got to the office the receptionist told me my insurance had not paid them and the doctor was not able to see me. I told the receptionist to get Blue Care on the phone and get it handled but she refused and told me that I already had another physician. I explained that the other doctor was just my family practitioner and he referred me to see a specialist. I was still not allowed to see the physician. I will not be going back to this office. read more
