He was very transparent and discussed all of our costs up front, which was very much appreciated. He listened and was very knowledgeable; providing us with the information we needed to provide her with a beautiful send off. It was our wish to take her urn up north to be placed in the family plot. He researched and found out who we would have to work with to do this. This gave us a great deal of comfort knowing he had our needs well in hand. I've even seen some tombstones almost out on the sidewalk. The surrounding neighborhood is crime ridden and dilapidated and I am sure those germans and other settlers of Milwaukee would be turning in their graves to see how their neighborhoods now look. It's awful. Wish the city leaders would do something and have this historic cemetery contained and maintained.

There are toppled grave stones, no fence, no sense of caring or upkeep for one of Milwaukee's oldest cemeteries. Like the once dilapidated Grants Tomb in New York City, this Lutheran owned cemetery is treated as if it has been abandoned. While the neighborhood is no longer a wealthy German area (as it certainly was in the late 19th century), to leave the graves open to vandals and unfenced seems a dereliction of duty and shows a lack of respect for the many people buried here, and their families.
