Which was okay because I had gotten approved with SNAP Finance. The total cost is about $2,000 and some change. Not bad, we can afford the payments. After getting the estimates, the next day, we get a call. We need a new transmission! Another $7,000 OR $8,000 and change!?! The car has been to Hawkins. They looked over the whole vehicle, NOTHING about needing a new transmission, JUST TRANSMISSION fluid!! So, NOW our car can't go over 15mph. People WARNED me about George's. We will never go there again! They did something to my transmission and we will be calling Hawkins and asking them if they noticed anything wrong with the transmission. I won't ever recommend this garage to anyone! There are OTHERS that accept SNAP FINANCE. Unless you want to get screwed over with your car, go to George's, they'll have you drain your bank account easily! SO MAD!!!!! I wouldn't even give them one star but can't post this unless I do.

Had our van towed to Mausdale so they told me it needed a fuel pump so they replaced and i got a…read moreoil change at same time, picked the van up took home then decided to drive the van to Walmart, came out the store van would start so had to AAA again, the two truck got to me very quickly, the driver got the van started and suggest to take back to Mausdale which I dropped off on Sunday, called the garage Thursday because I didn't hear anything was told it need a switch and it wouldn't be fixed until the following week which I understand. They called me Tuesday said van was ready I picked up on Friday. The first bill was over $900 and the second bill over $300 for a fuel pump and switch, first of all obviously the van wasn't fixed correctly the first time and then charge us a lot the second time. The garage is usually very reasonable but this was very expensive!

That is a 49.4% increase from the price my 20 year old college student was quoted, Why bother to give estimates if your off by 50%. When I challenged her on the increase she said if I wanted to get my son home safe that was the cost. Why did they not disclose the 49.4% increase in the quoted price prior to doing the repairs. She then slammed the phone and would not answer when I called back. This place is baiting and switching and if you have college students in Lewisburg PA that need their car repaired do not send them here. They prey on vulnerable young kids with out of state plates.
