I recommend it to all my friends and neighbors and they've all had excellent experiences. Everybody always tells me that the front office staff is very kind to them helpful and understanding. The office manager/managers, Carmen/Maria are the worst I have encountered in my life. Dr. Hanah lets them run the office and doesn't get involved so you have no recourse when you have a problem with the front office staff. I cannot recommend this vet because of one helpful person in the front office when everyone else is terrible. I had an incident a couple of years ago where I needed a prescription refill. The office agreed to refill it, and I made an appointment for the annual exam which was a few weeks overdue... Once I got to the pharmacy, after waiting in line for almost an hour !! there was a problem because someone at Pacific animal hospital dropped the ball and didn't follow through and I had to call the office and I had a problem with the managers. If you were a manager, you take heat from clients. I was concerned about my dogs' meds and I got no support. They went back on their word, and basically had to beg to get my prescription refilled so I went to another vet for a couple of years. I then decided to give them another shot because Mica had returned to the office after being gone for a couple of years. I have referred numerous clients to this vet and still they accused me of mistreating their staff (no yelling no profanity just a firm pushback because they agreed to fail my prescription and didn't follow through !!!) and "fired" me as a client (yes they were so unprofessional they used the word "fired". but never bothered to tell me.) A few days ago, I made an appointment and they sent me numerous reminders and spam and then informed me afterwards that I was fired as a client. Who does this?!! They told me they sent me an email after I booked the appointment informing me of "fired "status, but no email was sent . Not only will I never go back to this veterinarian, I will definitely be informing my clients of the mistreatment that I have encountered and advise that They should not be going back to this veterinarian. I hope Dr. Hannah changes his front office staff because after reading the reviews that seems to be the only issue but it's a huge issue when you can't get an appointment and you have to navigate past the rude, lazy , untrained front office staff. Too many other great vets in the South Bay to choose from., do yourself a favor and pick one of those.

Our boy had some spinal issues amongst other things as he got older, and Dr. Moeller was always honest when it came to his prognosis and also never pushed unnecessary treatment or medications. I was desperate at one point and asked about an arthritis treatment, and she explained why our pup wouldn't be a good candidate for it which I appreciated because it was a very costly medicine, and in the end she was right. When she did advocate for treatment, I followed her lead and I am glad I did because it helped our guy live his final days somewhat comfortable before we had to say the hardest goodbye. The prices are also extremely fair coming from another clinic in Hermosa beach that was very high compared to this practice. We now have a 6 month old puppy named Penny and we just recently saw Dr. Moeller for her first wellness visit. She was once again wonderful and Penny was so happy to meet her and the staff. We look forward to many healthy years at Pacific Coast Animal Hospital and we plan on bringing our kitty in here for care soon too. Also- the front desk staff, and the vet techs are wonderful, patient and caring. I appreciated how kind and helpful they were with Jax and now our Penny girl. You will not be disappointed with any of the Drs here- they are all wonderful and will provide your pet with the best possible care.

My pup was dealing with a skin allergy, and Dr. Moeller addressed the issue right away with a clear and reasonable plan. Just a week later, she was back to her normal self. We also came in another time for Kiki's annual shots, and the tech made the visit smooth and stress-free. I'm so glad Kiki has found a great new vet in our neighborhood. Note that there's two designated parking spots out front for patients.

I brought my two rabbits in for a visit and ended up being charged for services that were never clearly explained or approved beforehand. One charge was $22.50 for "brushing out poop" from one of my rabbits, which is something I easily could have done at home. I wasn't given any notice that this would be a separate service or cost. They also added a "wound service" charge, which confused me even more. When I asked what it was for, they said they think one of the rabbits might have a soft spot and suggested adding softer padding in the bedding area--but they also said they weren't sure and that nothing else needed to be done right now. It didn't make sense to charge for a wound service when there wasn't a confirmed issue or treatment. My main concern is the lack of transparency. If a clinic plans to perform additional services or add charges, they should explain them and get approval before doing them. Pet care is already expensive, and clients deserve to know what they're being billed for. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like unnecessary services were added without my consent therefore we will not be returning.

The appointment process was incredibly easy, and I love that you can see availability at other locations in their network -- such a great feature. The staff... where do I start? From check-in, to the in-room care, to the vet visit -- everything was top notch. Dr. Maheas took the time to go over all of my concerns, and as a slightly freaked-out dog dad, I had plenty. She created a simple plan, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable with the next steps. The staff was also great when going over pricing options. The no-pressure approach was so refreshing. Clear prices, fair prices, and no surprises -- which is rare and very appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful experience on what could have been a very stressful day. Safe to say we've found our new vet for Hugo!

The staff is beyond friendly, and the doctors are attentive, thorough, and genuinely caring. You never feel rushed, and it's clear they truly prioritize the well-being of the animals. Free parking right outside is also a big plus and makes visits much easier. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but in this case, you really do get what you pay for. I'm ok to spend the extra money knowing my pets are being looked after with such care and professionalism. The only downside is the limited hours. For anyone working a standard 9-5 job, it can be challenging to find an appointment time that fits without taking time off work. And they charge you $50 if you don't show up or if you're over 10/15 minutes late.
