They brought her out and she seemed fine. They explained to me they were able to retrieve one raisin. I was relieved because I thought she swallowed more. Now when it came to cost, I know these things can be costly. The Dr assistant did want me to pay between 3,500-4,500 for my fur baby to stay there for two nights to check her levels. When I informed the Dr assistant I did not have that sort of money. The Dr assistant demeanor seemed to have changed, but she followed up with me after and asked how Prada was holding up. The doctor on the other hand was very nice and accommodating. Luckily my fur baby Prada is very much alive. If my fur baby has another medical emergency I would come back here. Especially since this is the only emergency vet open 24/7.

In the beginning, everything seemed fine. I was able to get an appointment within two days after my regular veterinarian referred us for an ultrasound. When I arrived on 1/8/2026, I waited for more than an hour. I understood they were very busy, and an assistant came out to explain and apologize for the delay. When it was my turn, I met the doctor. She was very professional and kind. She performed the ultrasound and took her time explaining the results. I received my dog's medication there, and they explained how to administer it and told me to call if I had any questions. I was instructed to give my dog two prednisone pills for the first seven days, then reduce the dose to one and a half pills. While my dog was taking two pills, he improved--he was eating, breathing better, and walking. However, once I reduced the dose to one and a half pills, his health declined, and he began showing the same symptoms as before. I called the clinic VCA 1/18/2026 on a Monday to ask if I should return to the two-pill dosage. The doctor's assistant, Kylie, who was very kind, told me the doctor was not in and that she would send her a message and call me back as soon as she heard from her. Tuesday passed, so I called again and spoke with a woman named Jennifer, who was not very pleasant. She said, "Didn't the assistant tell you they would call you when the doctor gets back to her? She's not here and won't be back until Thursday." Thursday Jan. 22 Kylie texted me apologizing and letting me know that she would re-message. The doctor ,never got back to her. I waited until Thursday. No one called. More days passed, still no call. I did not call again because Jennifer had told me they would contact me once the doctor responded. Nearly a month went by, and I never received a call. During this time, my dog passed away. When I took my dog to his regular veterinarian on 1/26. I was told that VCA still had not sent them the ultrasound results. I had received the results myself ,but I am not a veterinarian and cannot interpret them properly. I am extremely disappointed. I have lost trust in this place. I had even referred a cousin to them, but I immediately called her and told her to cancel and seek care elsewhere. Once you leave this place, it feels like you no longer exist. I am still angry, disappointed, and confused. They were very attentive while I was there, but after I left, my dog felt like he no longer mattered. I am strongly considering contacting a lawyer.

The difference was night and day--literally. There were significantly more staff members during the day compared to after-hours, which made a huge impact. He vomit throughout the day and didn't have much of appetite. His favorite meal and treat didn't even entice him. We were so worried that we had to bring him in since our regular vet location was closed. My wife brought him in on the night of Christmas but we didn't really get any real updates throughout the night as we waited at home. We went in super early post-Christmas morning to get some answers. The doctor was pushing insulants into our pet every couple hours despite our fur baby's heart condition. He even kept pushing for more unnecessary tests and advising us to go to other clinic for more tests. My wife and I felt like we were talking to a sales person who was just trying to rack up the bill more than a compassionate and caring vet. I refused to have our baby get tortured like that so we immediately took him to our primary care, VCA, since they opened the day after Christmas. At this point, our baby was so weak that he couldn't even lift his head. The vets at VCA were so compassionate and caring that they advised letting him go because he was already in very bad condition by the time he was admitted. The VCA vet advocated for our pet which we were very touched. We ended up taking our baby home and have someone come to our house to put him down. It was a very sad Christmas for both my wife and I but the even sadder part was how bad this clinic was. The focus on gain rather than the lack of compassionate left a disgusting taste in our mouth. Sometimes we wondered if we haven't brought him here and waited an extra day to take him to VCA, would he had still been here. Anywho, we will never come back to this clinic again.

Worth noting: Expect big urgent care invoices and be prepared to ask questions, line by line, to make sure you understand the costs and necessary treatment. I received a BIG OLE $$$ bill in the thousands and had to review each item, and upon doing that with the (very patient) Vet, they decreased the amount over 50% for the unnecessary treatments. I think every pet parent can agree that the most important thing for our fluffy little ones is proper care and love from the professionals treating them. This is why I'm rating this place a 5 star. They were all terrific people and took wonderful care of my dog (and me!) during a high stress day. P.S. They also offer coffee and snacks and that was a lifesaver after being there for 3.5 hours.

I called about 6 different hospitals asking if they had a vet specializing in rabbit care and was referred out to Access. I live in the valley so Culver City wasn't an ideal commute, but when I spoke on the phone with their team, they said they would be able to call a vet in to care for Jameson because of the emergency need. So we drove all the way out there just because they were gracious enough to have someone available! Parking is located on the rooftop and is FREE! Thank goodness for that. The facility is located on the first floor and they'll direct you to the correct group. Mine was for exotic and aviary. They were able to see Jameson quite urgently and it wasn't too busy for a Saturday. I mean god bless them for even being available on a Saturday! After taking the initial vitals and information, we met with Dr. Callie and the nurse (sorry, blanking on the name) and were informed that he had mild GI stasis and they were able to treat him there. After about half an hour, we were done and ready to go back home. The fees were around $450 for the exam, medication, and treatment, but you can't put a price tag on saving your pet's life. I'm so grateful for the help and am glad to know that if he's ever in need, I can count on the team to help! They were kind, professional, and very informative from start to finish. I hope that I will never have to come back here but know I can trust them to take good care of Jameson. Thank you!!

Calls are rarely returned, communication is almost nonexistent, and getting something as simple as a prescription refill has turned into a nightmare. My dog depends on his medication to eat properly, yet I was told I now need to pay for another doctor's appointment just because the previous veterinarian left over a year ago -- something they never bothered to properly communicate to pet owners. How is that acceptable? To make matters worse, they don't even have appointments available until mid-July. So what exactly are patients supposed to do in the meantime? Wait until their pets are seriously suffering just to be seen and get medication they already rely on? There seems to be a complete lack of urgency, compassion, and accountability. The staff during this visit weren't the friendliest. We took her to her primary vet the next day and got medication prescribed. We were told again that she's okay and it's not her time yet, but to watch for the warning signs and to prepare ourselves.
