They closed at 6pm and we didn't know that prior to driving all the way there because it says here on this listing that they close at 8pm.

I love this little thrift store in Caseville I always stop here on my trip up north. they have…read morewomens clothes, mens clothes, even kids clothes, and home goods. Not much of a toy collection for the kiddos but this is all non profit and you could find a treasure when you don't even expect it. what I think is neat that makes this one stand out is that they have a separate area when you walk in the door for old things and antiques so if you're looking for something specific when your trift shopping or hunting you walk right in and are greeted by all the treasures right there in the front! Nothing is too overpriced and they usually run a sale so be sure to ask. I also found a beautiful necklace it was sterling silver for under 20 bucks shoes run about $3 and I've never seen a piece of clothing over 5. I'll be back way to go little thrift store...

Store was neat and full of interesting items. however the manager Don was rude about needing to…read moremove my car when they hadn't put out a sign that said "no parking". I took the time to read all of the posted signage but they didn't take the time to remember to put up their no parking sign. A simple asking to move instead of demanding, or saying sorry for forgetting the sign would have been welcomed. Instead, Don gave me dirty looks. 15 minutes later when we left the store they finally remembered to put up their "no parking donations only" sign.

Thrift shopping is my favorite place to get gems to add to my library. Here at The Salvation Army…read moreFamily Store the books are right in the front to your left. They are well organized as well as the DVDs. You can't beat the pricing for hard cover books at $1.49 each. It wasn't until I left that I noticed I was charged $2.99 for a book and $4.99 for the Forest Gump DVD. These items had small stickers on the spine that I thought were hold overs from the person who donated the items. The other books were $1.49. The children's book I purchased was only 49 cents. I will be back because this is next door to one of my favorite ice cream shops!

Well Ive messaged directly before with NO Reply so this time Ive posted on Social media and online…read morereviews with my words and photos and I have tagged the Saginaw MI store as well as The organization and have left a one star review. Here's my Post The Salvation Army USA The Salvation Army Saginaw Family Store REALLY? TWO Big Gripes and what Im going to do about them: First.. Wed is Senior discount day and they lowered the senior discount from 20 to 10%. SO Tell me what population are you trying to serve? This is a shameful nickel and diming of your elderly community. Same goes for your Veteran discount. Yeah, give them 10% off for dodging a bullet... oy. Salvation Army on State Street in Saginaw Mi. The prices in there are nutty .. sometimes they are okay and sometimes its like squirrels priced stuff. I usually shut my mouth and shake my head, leaving alot of things behind. Today I was in this morning. They have stuff priced for more then I can buy it new. Yes, no exaggeration but here was one of the most JAW DROPPING price tags. Empty jars that candles came in .. for 3.99 each. YEP... completely empty clear glass jars that used to have a candle in it. Some even with the old label still on them and they are selling them for 4 bucks a piece! GEE I wonder how much you could sell a Tomato sauce jar for? I hope they have an explanation for this and please since I cant imagine that they could explain it.. I hope they have someone go through their shelves and price items like they are not on dope. MY PLAN moving forward Ive ALWAYS donated to Salvation army with $$ with household goods and by shopping there. Im going to start donating to smaller thrift stores that are not trying to match new store prices. There are Thrift stores that continue to do the work locally.. sell their donated items at a sensible profit without overpricing everything and treat their senior and veteran communities with a respectful discount one day a week. Seems like a small thing to ask of a MAJOR organization that we keep funding. Try out : AbleLight Underground Railroad Resale
