The Bayville store is a poor representation of Goodwill. It's often a mess, rather dirty, disorganized and full of worthless, often damaged junk that is over-priced with absolutely no sense whatsoever. clothes are often cheap quality, priced higher than new items that can be bought at stores like Walmart. better quality things are priced to compete with Boscov's or TJ Maxx-- and WHY would you buy the same thing at Goodwill, when you can get it at a nice retailer with better customer service policies? I googled Goodwill... and was shocked to learn they're bringing boycotted for so many reasons that reflect badly on their integrity-- not just on the low quality of their stock. look it up!! OK--anyway, to close, the Bayville store is a low-class image of a Thrift store and, considering the junk on the sales floor, along with the ridiculous overpricing-- you have to wonder where the good donations are going... and where the so-called charitable service is being done, since they pay less than minimum wage and their high-up people make over half a million dollars per year. my opinion of Goodwill has plummeted... and I advise YOU to look online for your own information and benefit. read more

Great store for all those hard to find items. We stop in every couple weeks ., great choice of books, clothing, Halloween items.

Great selection . Quality items. I'm always amazed at the diverse inventory which is constantly changing.

I love thrifting but this particular Goodwill is off my list. Years ago it was okay. Whoever is pricing things has no idea on how to move inventory. So overpriced! Literally stained and ripped garments with absurd prices because they're "name brand" - I shop for style, not brand. Literal trash on the racks, it's absolutely mind blowing. The book and DVD selection is really poor. The one man who works there I've seen for years, and the two stars I'm willing to give this place are for him. Always friendly and kind. read more

Sometimes you can find some good deals. Other times there are certain things like toys for example where the toy is missing pieces only for said missing piece to be near it but being sold separately. So they might as well sell the movies one price and the cases priced separately too lol read more

The air-freshner is extremely overpowering and disgusting. Prices are outrageous! This is NOT a charity store as many believe. Workers are very rude, the one tall guy (I notice he is not there anymore) who was cashier was always very snarky with his comments to people. Also, I notice a lot of people do not wear masks when making donations and have notice employees as well not wearing masks at times. So much for obeying and enforcing Covid guidelines! read more

Store is dirty with plenty of trip hazards and alot of items are overpriced. Whoever sets prices must pick random a random number to price the item at. Items that cost $5 new are marked $3.99 used and abused. Most the staff have no care for the items on sales floor or the customer. not the thrift store experience I was looking for in a tourist area on the shore. Dirty and clothing and accessories are quite worn. It's a large space with dressing rooms. There are lots of items to choose from and so many racks of clothing. My partner bought a fishing pole for $5. Just not the best quality as far as clothing and accessories. Junky clothes and no fitting rooms open. So if you buy some thing and it doesn't fit too bad you're out the money

My son is autistic and I take them to this Goodwill every other weekend. This is his favorite place to spend my money. I give him a $25 limit usually spend a little more. We come home with lots of electronics. I have gotten lots of nice clothes there brand new with the tags still on them. Some of the staff is nice. There's one that I'm not fond of but she's a little nicer now. Good place for kids to shop. read more

I don't understand all the negative reviews for this store. Someone obviously has an axe to grind with the Goodwill company. In my opinion, this is a great store. Very well-kept and appeared cleaner/neater than a lot of Goodwill stores. Prices were on par with any other Goodwill I've ever been to, which is more than reasonable. Sunday is dollar day, and anything with their color of the day tags are $1. Convenient location. I will most definitely be back. read more

Love this Goodwill and am surprised by the negativity it's receiving. I've been to others that are not as organized as this one and where the clothes smell nasty. That is not so with this store. I visit it frequently and have no complaints. read more

Ive never had any issues with this place. If u feel something is priced too high try to negotiate. Ive done it. Its a thrift store not a Macys so it will be a little dirty. I will continue to shop here as well as the other shops in the area. read more

I have thrifted far and wide across this great nation, and I could say the obvious...Thrift stores are not the cleanest places in the world, but think about how dirty the customers are, and who has to clean it up? The staff are actually quite lovely and welcoming given the often unsavory circumstances of rude, careless, and hygienically disgusting shoppers! You can still find some hidden treasures, but only if you are determined and patient to hunt. This is the pleasure in the true thrift store shopper, the will to hunt and return to keep an eye out for what you are looking for, and eventually, you may just find it, and at a very acceptable price. This store is above average simply because it is the only one in a radius of idk how many dozens of miles...so thank you for existing, Goodwill Store. Somebody loves you :) read more

Huge store lots of racks makes it fun to search for treasures. The store isn't as organized as others but that doesn't bother me.

Had extreme prices for clothes which were very used. Had some decent accessories and and decor but otherwise not good.

This place used to be awesome! Loved the setup & everything was cheap or affordable! I would visit faithfully and recommended it to everyone! Until, one day I went there and saw that everything changed...the toys were high up above the clothes so kids couldn't see let alone pick out what they wanted, the store was wayyy overpriced $15 for a rusty wok, $25 for a rusty used toddler bike... I was so annoyed! One look and my favorite thrift shop now resembled a crappy goodwill I once visited near Neptune- the setup was the same & I knew instantly there was new management which was confirmed by an employee. After I asked why such a drastic change the employee stated that the manager said "we'd get used to it." I can almost garunteed there has been a major drop in sales since! This used to be such a great goodwill! Full of treasures at reasonable prices! The employees used to be pleasant, offer assistance and smile - now I feel avoided whenever I go in and they all seem miserable. The only time I've heard them talking is to each other. Even management seems to task oriented to offer assistance. I donated here the nod of last year a few bags of house wares and lightly worn clothing and the man that took the bags from me was extremely rude and complained that I hadn't separated the bags. I did not recieve a tax receipt either. The new layout is quite confusing and unorganized. The home goods/furniture is hard to get through and you can't see anything. The children's toys are now high above the clothes so not only can my sons not see them, me being only 5' can not see most of them. The prices have gone up significantly to the point I do not wish to return. Particularly in house wears and kitsch. Vintage avon bottles full of stale cologne I used to score here for $1-$3 (husband is a collector) are now $5-$10. read more
