    Set of canisters I bought

I'm a huge fan of resale and thrift stores. You find gently used items for great prices. I stop by this location about once a week so check on clothing and any new houseware items that have come in. Hubby works in the construction industry so he goes through pants very quickly. I pick up pairs here anytime they have them for only $4 each. One amazing day I found him a pair of $100 jeans for... you guessed it $4!!! I'm always looking for good houseware items too - pictures, decorations, seasonal items. Recently found a brand new Pampered Chef deep dish baker (about $80 item), a 4 piece canister set, many new cookbooks, new family games and books all for low prices. I've also had a few baby showers this year. Planned ahead accordingly and was able to get multiple outfits for the gifts that were all new with tags still on. Baby items/clothes sell for only $1.50 each. That is a great deal. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's never too crowded.

I'm a big fan of thrifting and this particular Goodwill location usually has pretty good finds. Vacuum cleaners Cookware Blazers Belts Bed linens Shoes T-Shirts Hats Purses Toys TV's Coats Jeans You can find it all here, in decent condition for small change. The staff is very pleasant and helpful; if you need something plugged in for a test run or carried out to your vehicle they accomodate without hesitation. There are often sales on top of the already marked down merchandise which makes for a really great deal. ~Christy

It has the best selection of household items--furniture, housewares, and kitchen gadgets--than other area thrift stores. "Best" in terms of quality and amount of items. Clothing is better quality also: other places often have stained or well worn pieces. Savers seems to weed those out. This location is in affluent west St. Louis County, which could account for the better inventory and higher pricing.

After coming to this location for years, I will not be shopping here ever again. As I was checking…read moreout, an associate grabbed the shoes I was about to scan on the counter and proceeded to check the shoes I was buying to see if the stickers were tampered with. Never in my life has this happened to me. She realized the sticker underneath was an even cheaper price ($10.29) and was shocked by that. She then went to the back and added a new sticker to the price it was in the literal first place ($14.99). This store definitely racially profiled me and the reason I know that is because a Caucasian lady at the same time was checking out multiple shoes and never had her stickers checked. I proceeded to question the manager about the situation and he said they check all shoes at check out. That's not true. They are only checking people with melanin in their skin. Answered all questions when I called (and called back and back and back again!). They even called a couple of days before to confirm the reservation. Not only did they provide an affordable room, they treated one adult per room and children under 12 to the buffet breakfast and also gave us, free of charge, one meal (which we had as lunch) and snacks and drinks. To top it off, they allowed us to borrow a microwave and use their freezer! It truly was a saving grace and we wish they were in all states we visit for medical appointments as they made us feel cared for, like we had friends we could ask for help. Cannot thank them or recommend them enough.
