To me, each Goodwill is like a fashion time machine where every decade showed up - and then decided to stay for the party. I always enjoy flipping through the racks, whether it's for myself or for resale. If you're on a mission for dresses, this Goodwill is a must-see. Racks and racks of them are packed in like sardines right now (it's early spring). Should your kitchen need a little extra personality, there's a decent mix of gadgets, dishes and "What is this gizmo and why do I want it?!" type items. Overall: come for the dresses, stay for the dishes and leave with at least one silly thing you didn't plan on buying. read more

Based solely on the donation drop: there were 2 people outside, able and willing to help with donations. They were friendly and nice, and also asked if you'd like a slip for when you file your taxes. The drop is behind the strip/building, but it's easy to find. read more

I'm a huge fan of resale and thrift stores. You find gently used items for great prices. I stop by this location about once a week so check on clothing and any new houseware items that have come in. Hubby works in the construction industry so he goes through pants very quickly. I pick up pairs here anytime they have them for only $4 each. One amazing day I found him a pair of $100 jeans for... you guessed it $4!!! I'm always looking for good houseware items too - pictures, decorations, seasonal items. Recently found a brand new Pampered Chef deep dish baker (about $80 item), a 4 piece canister set, many new cookbooks, new family games and books all for low prices. I've also had a few baby showers this year. Planned ahead accordingly and was able to get multiple outfits for the gifts that were all new with tags still on. Baby items/clothes sell for only $1.50 each. That is a great deal. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's never too crowded. read more

My son went to Goodwill today to find some work clothes... He made the following observations and took action... I am proud of My Son for his efforts to his fellow man: Ryan Muncy What seems like a fitting place to post this as this is my question to you goodwill industries. What are you doing for others? I was just in one of your stores and was witness to a def, mute boy who had a clothing voucher This boy had an aid worker with him he had just been dropped off by his parents at a shelter with the clothing he had on . jeans that looked to be too small, no socks some worn out shoes, and a food stained t shirt .your employee took the time to explain to the aid worker that the jeans he had picked out from your store the t shirt he had picked out and 2 sweatshirts were not covered by the clothing voucher because of the color of the tags on these items also the boots he had picked out that were some worn Stanley workboots that were priced at 17.99 they arent even $30 new by the way were not covered by the voucher as you might imagine a person who can't really hear and can't speak takes the time to pick things out just to have an employee at your store tell his aid worker he can't have these things he was obviously in need ,isn't this what you are here for ,to help people in need. I find it shameful that your store a non for profit that sells donated items cannot help someone like this boy so instead I bought him the shirts and the jeans I spent a grand total of 21.69 and that is the last money I will ever spend in a goodwill store your CEO can make bonuses bigger then my years salary but you can't even afford to help a kid with some donated clothing shame on you and shame on your employees. And just so you know I will be posting something similar to this on my Facebook wall I wonder how long it will be before enough people see this one story and begin to feel the same way I now do toward your stores ,your company, and your upper management. read more

Large store with much better selection of housewares and clothing than the Florissant location. Lots of crystal glassware, dishes, and kitchen items still in boxes. When a pair of Crocs are in the locked display case, though, you can't imagine you'll find much of quality name brands. read more

Vacuum cleaners Cookware Blazers Belts Bed linens Shoes T-Shirts Hats Purses Toys TV's Coats Jeans You can find it all here, in decent condition for small change. The staff is very pleasant and helpful; if you need something plugged in for a test run or carried out to your vehicle they accomodate without hesitation. We normally come here to donate items, but the few times we came looking for something we left successful. Prices seemed pretty reasonable (our last purchase was a pair of flannel/plaid shirts for $3/ea). Staff aren't the friendliest or the most helpful, but I'm a pretty independent shopper to begin with so it doesn't bother me one bit. read more

Overall, I don't like Goodwill because they are a for profit company that poses as a non-profit. However- When I have stuff that I want to get rid of... I "donate". When somebody wants to walk around the store with me... I sometimes find something to buy. (I bought a storage chest that was new overstock from a store this time.) Yes, I know they sift through all the stuff & save the recognizable collectibles/expensive items from being sold here. Yes, I know that I can get items cheaper at "close-out" at the stores before they donated the item to Goodwill. However, sometimes I find a cheap enough item that works that I just don't care. Word of advice- Simple items like furniture that is 50% off maybe a OK deal because few things can go wrong. Complicated items like a washing machine that is 50% off is a bigger gamble. read more

I've been here at least four or five times a year to donate. Yesterday, I had a box of donations that I'd taped up, but then started falling apart. Lots of books (47 paperbacks), which are heavy, as well as some hardbacks and a lot of other things. I warned the guy. And he took it like a trooper. Picked the darned thing out of my car and deposited it appropriately. The box happened to include my wedding dress and veil. I probably should have told him about that. Got my tax-deductible donation receipt. Got my list at home of what I donated. This works for me. I've never been in the store to shop. I noticed the store sign is down, so I don't know what that means. Just observing. UPDATE August 5, 2015 -- The were replacing the old sign with a sign carrying the new Goodwill logo. read more

Smallest Goodwill I've seen yet. Carts are outside, register in center of the space surrounded by glass cases. Toys were nonexistent here, for the most part. I like to look for interesting blocks and vintage toys but this section was very small, combined with household items, also sparse. Women's clothing was a success, and though none of my favorite mall brands were there I found two sundresses, a long colorful Indian skirt, a beach coverup, and a linen sack dress that makes me look like I'm in a doomsday cult (I plan to style it a bit, so I look less Heaven's Gate-y). In the men's section I spotted a pair of tighty-whities on a pants hanger -- don't usually see that. read more

Actually one of the best Goodwill's I've been to in awhile- well sorta. I did find a bunch of stuff- me and my mom together spent $25. I got a bunch of great t shirts and a few athletic shorts, just stuff for sleeping in same as my mom. The place did have a bunch of name brands and a lot of stuff from Target new with tags. We went around 2:00 p.m on a Monday and the place was busy!! Tons of people running around like it was Black Friday. Clothes and housewares is what had the best deals in my opinion- I didn't see where the books were and furniture was disappointing. The place wasn't clean and obviously a madhouse, but for how much stuff we found I'll be coming back. read more

This store is terrible and the prices are stupid on some of these items. Seriously, I saw a ralph lauren shirt marked $8, about a week later I was at the mall looking through a clearance rack and found the same exact shirt (different color) marked down to $3 and theirs was not a used shirt. I go to the other locations expecting the same bad pricing but the other Goodwills do not run like this one so I stopped shopping here. I do St. Charles and other locations. read more
