Not the biggest St. Vincent around but there were some decent finds. Found a good deal on a mid range set of snorkeling goggles, but that's about it. They have the usual selection of clothes and random books. Not much for athletic equipment but that's part of the fun is you never know what they will have in that day. Oh and just a heads up the drop off is right in front of the store but you need to go through the parking lot area and pull up to the cones. Honestly it's not a good design and I saw drivers getting confused with it as I walked in. And the cars dropping off donations could get backed up and block in anyone parked in the front row. So this store is now an outlet w giant bins only. I'd advise to get there early, otherwise professional resellers beat you to the interesting stuff. If you have any accessibility concerns this is not the best location, as the bins are deep and difficult to dig through. BUY GLOVES FROM THE DOLLAR STORE NEARBY OR BRING GLOVES. I'd wear a mask too if you have pet allergies. Having a sense of the weight of things is helpful bc there's no weight station before the check out. Bring a garbage bag to put your stuff in until you get to put it in the wash -most stuff is not that nasty but I err on the side of caution. If you're donating, verify the dropoff is open bc some days even when it's supposed to be open they've stopped accepting stuff, I guess they got their quota. I've found the folks that work there to be kind. If you think of it as a treasure hunt, then you've got the right idea. I love going here if I want to get a bunch of winter coats for a donation drive or to give to the unhoused. read more

I'm a big thrifter and have to drive a little further for a St. Vincent De Paul. I hadn't been here in years so I was excited to go! They have a fairly large selection, and a lot of things are well sorted, which I really appreciate as it saves a lot of time. They had a large assortment of toys and games! I scored Pop the Pig with all the pieces for under $2 so that was a win. Women's clothes were eh but that's the thrill, never know what you're going to find! I also did find Italian patent leather footnotes boots, so typically hundreds of dollars and paid under $8. So again, you never know what you'll find but I definitely found some treasures and appreciated most of the prices. Negatives were that some things felt overpriced but, again, that's just thrifting. Plus, their return policy only includes electronics. Clothing can be exchanged within 5 days of purchase, which would be acceptable if they had their dressing rooms open. They were closed and I was not going to be making the drive back there within 5 days so it limited my purchases to things I could "try on" out in the open, meaning jackets, shoes, and cardigans. But overall, it was a successful thrift and I loved the variety! read more

Drove 20 miles to Mehlville store to make a big donation on Tuesday afternoon. When I arrived, I saw a sign they don't take donations on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Website says they are open at that time...no indication of special donation hours. Should update website to include this info. Won't go back. read more

We had some issues donating here recently. I went through their website and for a little less than $800, I scheduled a pick up at my mother's house, which is less than 2 miles from this location. She had moved to an assisted living facility and the pick up was for much of the contents of her four-bedroom home, which included over 50 boxes of household and kitchen goods. The movers were good but, strangely, they weren't able to drop off the donation (that I coordinated online via St. Vincent's website) because St. Vincent's wasn't accepting donations on Thursdays!!! The movers said they would hold the items (in their truck) overnight for donation in the morning... Who actually knows what happened there, but at least things were moved out of my mom's house. The next day, Friday, I dropped off items without incident. They have a drive-thru line set-up and workers helped me unload my van. They refused some items, but I was able to donate them at the St. Vincent's on Christy. read more

Staff is rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. She clearly did not want to be there. Just go to goodwill instead.

Sat March 8th around 1 pm, we encountered a very judgmental worker. Even though we were right there watching our children while one of us was browsing, she made several comments about our children getting hurt (seriously went on for 7-8 comments even though my husband was right there) and I overheard her telling another worker "this is not a freaking playground". They were not running around, they were not being loud, they were not climbing on things, they were not making a mess. Literally just quietly playing with toys while being watched. Dont worry , we won't bother you with our well behaved children again. read more

This is a pretty small thrift store. If you're looking for furniture, you might come here, since there seems to be more furniture options. The clothing takes up a little less than half the store and they don't have a wide selection nor is it particularly organized. The staff are friendly, though! There's a donation drop off in the back. Just park your car and ring the doorbell to have an employee come out to take your donations. read more

There recording states they are accepting furniture donations, then you get to the store and they are not. That was a lot of trouble to find out by the local store they are screening the donation, even though the web and recording stated they were accepting them. read more

Disorganized clothing. There are size markings but they don't seem to be using them to organize anything (at least not in the dress section.) The other items seem to have just been thrown on the shelves. Some things are even broken. read more

Great for furniture your looking to reduce or if you're starting out... they recently raised their price on clothes which I'm agitated about if I wanted to spend $4-20 on jeans I'd go to the store not a resale shop. But I always go back for the furniture read more

Use to be 4 stars but they recently raised prices fairly substantially. Sad it use to be one of the best places for a bargain but not any longer, use to frequent this location but won't be coming back for awhile maybe their prices will return to normal some day. read more

I was there shopping this morning and there's a sign that states tank tops $1.00. Well, when I got to the register the women said they were $5 sweaters. The manager completely agreed with her. I'm 75 and I know a tank top when I see one- no sleeves or collar - scooped neck. The girl was very rude and I doubt if I'll ever go there again. I was visiting this place every Friday when I came from Illinois to see my doctor so it's their loss. read more

Friendly helpful employees always! Price on clothes is ok but furniture is way overpriced

Stopped in here earlier today and walked out with four tops for a total of $14. It's not a bad thrift store but it wasn't a place I would go to again unless I was in the area. Nothing was out of the ordinary- clothes were well organized and the store was clean but I've been to better thrift stores. Worst thing about this store was parking and the lot it was in because it was a huge pain to park and then get out of the store. read more
