This is a solid Goodwill, and it's definitely nicer than it was a few years ago. They didn't make any major changes, but a few minor tweaks have made a great difference in the aesthetic appeal of the store. They have a great selection of artwork, furniture, clothing, etc. And... they have an ungodly amount of coffee mugs. I think they could literally start a museum of coffee mugs based on how many shelves were stacked full of them. My one (1) pet peeve of this Goodwill (I haven't been to many others so I'm not sure if this is common practice) is that they have a lot of good pieces of artwork, but they put the price tags right in the middle of the painting, meaning that it'll likely leave residue or a scuff mark when you remove the tag. I have no idea why they do this, it makes me turn away from so many cool pieces of art that I'd love to have. Everything needs to be improved! I went in there to look at a bed frame it had pillars on it. One that had it mislabeled they said it was a king and it's a full size! How does anybody even do that? I spoke to the manager about it and he goes well we still got to get the original price for it I know it's mislabeled. So what does he do? He puts the label back on! He's a young skinny kid with an attitude. I would never go into this Goodwill again The kids an idiot. How Miss in genuous can you be to be told that something is a full size and he marks it as a king and puts the tag back on it? Carefully weeded so all that left is Shein and there are not that many things left. You go every time and you think it can't possibly get any worse but it actually does. Even the T-shirts are bad, how can the T-shirts be bad? But they are bad. A occasionally disturbingly smelling parade of cheaply made overpriced junk organized in the most haphazard way possible. There are never enough carts and if you find one, you can't push it through the aisles because there is so much crap on the ground. Even the music is mopey, weeping for what it once was Only two poor and exhausted employees were there for the entire store, tired, cranky, yelling at the customers to clean the dressing rooms and saying to each other that that Goodwill took the good out of the Goodwill. read more

I have been going to the Garners Ferry GW for several years. The staff has always been welcoming, courteous and helpful. The quality of the merchandise depends upon what is donated. I go frequently and try to keep an open mind. I buy china, glassware, clothing., etc. As expected, I check over the merchandise. Some days,I don't find anything , more often , I find dishes, glassware , clothing etc. some may be individual items, other times, luck up and find, I.e., dishes of the same pattern, etc. I always check for surface and rim ware, especially If there is gold / silver edging. The dishes, glassware, etc are placed on shelves, where there is room. So some dishes ( same pattern) may be on same shelf, next shelf, etc. also depends what is loaded into the shopping carts (items to be displayed) from the workroom. So may, I.e.,see part of (same china) in the morning, another time later in day / tomorrow when more baskets are filled.,etc... In this scenario, the, I.e., same china, may not be together or a customer pick's it up / place it down another shelf, etc. The potential buyer needs to keep open mind...I.e., check dishes, glassware for chips, cracks, roughness to rims, etc. Most are in good condition. Also there will be items in original boxes. These also need to be checked for condition too. Clothing may be tried on too. I go frequently as merchandise is moved to the sales floor all during the day. Keep an open mind, as the you'll never know what you will find. Great location. Large and it has freshly been remodeled so it's even bigger than it used to be. Plenty of dressing rooms, I normally don't have to wait for a room even in the evenings. Clothing makes up the majority of this location but they have a section for furniture and new goods. Not super friendly staff but they help you when they can. There is not really any order on the shelves. This is a good location if you like to browse for clothes. Many Goodwill's do color and then size but not here. Their dresses are done in a size order though. It's not perfect but I'm thankful to have a goodwill in my neighborhood where I can always find something quick and fast if I need it. read more

Large in size but sparsely stocked. If you want men's clothes or Home goods, look somewhere else. Also rather dirty for a goodwill, and a lot of the clothes aren't sorted by size so it's a pain trying to find anything. read more

It's funny how each Goodwill location has management that increase pricing on toys, stuffed animals & hard goods often. The crazy part is that they charge $1.95 for small stuffed animals and $2.95 for large stuffed animals so no one buys them when the rest of the Goodwill's in this area charge $.50. Thankfully there's a Goodwill Bins on Sunset Blvd in Columbia and all the stuffed animals that are not purchased at this location will quickly show up there. You can purchase a huge bag that holds approximately 30 stuffed animals for $1.00. So laugh at the silliness of the management tactics at this location & be ready to play $6.95 for their USED taped-up boxed puzzles if you shop here. read more

This goodwill is a good size and has some really awesome stuff. Each time I go I see a bunch of new stuff and at one point I came once a week! They have a ton of clothes! That's the biggest bulk of inventory here. They also have some furniture and home goods, just depending on when you go. This location always seems to be busy no matter when you go, so be prepared. This location usually only has one register open and there is almost always a line to check out. I love thrifting, but Goodwill is not my favorite place to go. Their prices are so high for a thrift store and they seem to keep rising. With that being said, they do have a $1 discount section, so if you can find something you like that's in that section, you're golden! read more

This Goodwill is pretty decent compared to the ones that I have seen. The staff is very nice and will help you find things if you need help. Also, this place is quite clean and is a pleasure to look through. The only thing is that sometimes it is hard to find your size as it is kind of scattered. Great for last minute pickups of clothes or costumes! read more

Is it a big Goodwill? Yes. Is it stocked and prepped properly? Absolutely not! This place looks awful. The only other Goodwills I've seen in this shape are the outlet ones, where they weigh stuff by the pound. Granted, they do have nice name brands in there such as J.Crew and Polo Ralph Lauren, but nothing is separated by size or color. It looks like everything is thrown together. It's a nightmare. I'll stick to shopping at the Goodwill by my house. It's a WHOLE HEAP more organized than this warehouse. read more
