I have been to many Goodwill Outlets throughout the country. This location is BY FAR the worst. The store is dirty, the bins are full of TRASH, the employees constantly yell at customers for no reason. I have been to this location 20+ visits before making this review. Someone literally flinched while they were doing a rotation they screamed at this poor woman and threatened to ban her from shopping for 15 minutes. Whoever manages this location need to go to another Goodwill Outlet and learn how to properly run it. Cincinnati is the best run so far. I would give Fort Myers NO STARS if it was possible. read more

For anyone leaving a bad review, you have problems. Like... what do you expect? Firstly, This goodwill is located in a very poor area in fort Myers. I have found incredible things in these bins. If you're looking for a clean, quiet place to shop, this is not it. Don't even go. This is the most incredible place for finding diamonds in the rough. I LOVE THIS GOODWILL. It's absolute savageness on the inside. Finding a cart is your first objective as a shopper. The customers here are absolute savages. Lawless. I once had another shopper dump out the contents of my cart so they could use the cart...until I confronted him and he pretended he didn't speak English. I witnessed another shopper get their found items in their cart taken right from their cart. Have to have eyes on your cart at all times. You will surely see someone's unsupervised demon spawn child running loose in the store. Have you ever seen someone fight over glassware? Well you will now. Good luck my fellow thrifter. I've never been inside the place. I just use the drive up donation drop off. The employees are always friendly.

Items are good, lots of loot if you dig. Place is small in comparison to other goodwill bins establishments and the bins themselves are less full of clothes. Kinda smells like cigarettes, the place has mandatory checkouts where they won't bring out more bins until everybody with a cart that's at least half full checks out for a reason unknown to me. Stupid rules about where and where not to stand during the rollouts of new bins when it gives me no advantage to the bins compared to everybody else. Employees were nice during my experience. Bins were dirtier compared to other locations. Empty carts all over the place. Located in a very low-income neighborhood. Overall recommended if you're a patient person who only cares about thrifting. I would advise going to a different bins location if possible. read more

I was looking for pickle ball equipment. They didn't have any and they carried very little in terms of other sports equipment. Didn't buy anything so nothing to say on service. But the ambiance is fine since it was clean. read more

People basically act like animals when they bring the new bins out and even though they have signs that say "walking only" or something to that effect, it was very Black Friday at Wal-Mart. I usually leave thrift stores happier than when I walked in and this place just gave me a case of the sads. But I made it out without being shanked so that was nice. read more

So it's a Goodwill outlet (bins) location. Price per pound. I don't really expect great customer service. The people shopping there are very aggressive, to the point of back the f*c* up! It's almost comical to watch so I do feel bad for the employees who have to deal with that all day. Certain people appear to be professional line jumpers with their overflowing carts and their bullying ways. I'll give props to the employees there! Some may call it rude I call it keeping things in check! Be prepared (walmart x 20 on Black Friday) BUT you will find cool stuff. Just be ready to dig and follow directions as they rotate bins and also have mandatory check out where you have to stop shopping and purchase your items. Overall it's an experience with some great finds!! read more

This store has undergone some welcomed improvements in the last few months. The atmosphere is calmer. Shoppers are more mannerly and employees seem more at ease. The layout has been rearranged, and the changing of the bins is done with less tension than before. Maybe there's new management? Good job, Goodwill Outlet! ***BRING GLOVES*** This is a Goodwill outlet which means everything is in bins. The items are either leftovers from other goodwills or donated directly. Every 30 minutes 2 sections of bins get changed out with new bins. You have to stand behind a red line and wait for the workers there to say go and then you have to WALK to the bins. Some people are pushy and others don't listen to the rules but it can be a fun place if you stay away from those people. If you look and dig hard enough you can find some good things!! The only thing I don't like about this place is that it looks like a warehouse and it's dirty. There can be gross items (I found a REAL cracked egg in a pan) and soggy items and actual trash. Hence why you need to bring gloves and wear a shirt you don't care about because I got one of mine dirty. But once you find your treasure it's all worth it!! Oh and be prepared to have to clean and sanitize your items and yourself when you get home! read more

I only gave it a 1 because I couldn't give it a 0. It was like a madhouse when we walked it. Bins everywhere people throwing clothes in the air. I walked toward the bins were the glass articles were and I got yelled at to get behind orange gates. No explanation to why. Then someone else yells I need a pair of gloves. Then it was like a bunch of animals running toward a new batch that was brought in grabbing a hand full of shoes not even looking at condition or sizes. I turned around to walk out and saw a sign that says you pay by the pound for merchandise. The workers were very rude and offered no help or information. I put sanitizer on my hands when I got back to my car. It would be nice if someone was at the door to explain the process if you needed it. Looked like most of the people there knew what was going on but I'm sure they are there every day. read more

First I have to say there are so many rules it is hard to figure it out especially when , as a new shopper, you have no idea what to expect. From the moment I walked into the store I was chastised like I was low grade trash by the manager of the outlet, she was rude and disrespectful. They have so many rule, none of which are posted by the way, so when you walk in as a new customer you are blindsided by what you can and cannot do and if you make a mistake you get yelled at and then threatened that you will have the police called on you if you cannot follow the rules. The management has a gestapo mentality and talk to you like you are dirt. It was so bad I left what I managed to wrench away, while people are running over the top of me to grab arm loads of stuff and put in their baskets. Mind you the shoppers had several basket of which the "RULE" is to only have 1 and keep it with you, yet the walls are lined with blue buggies and one person may have 5 or 6 lining the walls, they also claim that if you do not keep your basket with you, according to them your items will be returned to the bins, which, by the way, never happened. . When the new bins come out it is like the Kentucky Derby just opened the gates, people literally run to the bins fighting and pushing each other. Again they say "walk" and yet they do not enforce it. Next if you need to go to the restroom go before you get there, it is horrific, there was literally urine all over the toilet seat in the women's restroom, used toilet paper all over the floor no paper towels or soap to wash your hands. The only positive thing is the price everything is sold by weight. Of course that is posted clearly. So, I will NEVER, go back and none of my family and friend will either ,nor will anyone else if they ask me about the place. If I could give this place a zero I would, I will say there were a couple of workers who were polite and helpful, but the main person, of which I believe said she was the manager, was the rudest power drunk disrespectful person I have had the misfortune of running into for quite sometime. So here are the rules if you choose to visit this animal house. 1. wear gloves 2. keep your blue basket with you at all times 3. do not touch any other blue baskets 4. walk do not run 5. when they are doing rotation stay behind the red line until you are allowed to go then by all means run like idiots to the newly offered bins My advice to the management 1. post the rules as clearly as the prices 2. actually enforce the rules you set 3. treat people with respect. 4. clean the place up there is no reason for it to be that disgustingly dirty. it is actually a health hazard. read more

I purchased five identical sets of dishes that contained 4 pieces each of a teacup, saucer, bread/butter plate and two-handled soup bowl. I went to the listing page posted by Goodwill Industries of SW Florida, Inc. who do business on the ShopGoodwill.com website, and I was asked to furnish an item number. The item number in question is listed at the top of the email along with the reason I am writing and the name of their goodwill. They say that they use the money from donated items to train people for the work force. What would you call this? I call it a very poor job of training people and a waste of my time and our money donating items to these kinds of goodwills who make a practice out of annoying paying customers with stupid questions. Why didn't this goodwill take the time to include an invoice with what was supposed to be FIVE lots of these dishes but I only received FOUR sets. This is the type of business who should not be managed by the very people who state their mission and then turn around and have someone ask the buyer what the item number is of the item that was not included in shipment. They don't want to look for themselves, using their computer, to find out where they did something wrong, apologize for their oversight and either admit they screwed up and refund your money, or they start asking you stupid questions with the answer already right in front of them. There are several goodwill stores doing business on this web site who treat people the same way. They are not a goodwill store, they are an "ill will" managed type of store who wants to find fault with the buyer for purchasing an item they posted for sale that's supposed to be helping their community. Apparently the only people this is helping are those who are making outrageous salaries and not doing their job. I would never be asked this question anywhere else except from this store. Too many problems at this store. As soon as this is straightened out, I'll be sure to "x" them off my list of avoiding to shop there anymore because of this poor experience I was made to endure. read more
