Snapped a pic before almost getting thrown out!

Bring gloves. Bring sanitizer. Bring patience. Bring a mask. This place was absolutely disgusting and all that is wrong with the state of the country. People basically act like animals when they bring the new bins out and even though they have signs that say "walking only" or something to that effect, it was very Black Friday at Wal-Mart. I usually leave thrift stores happier than when I walked in and this place just gave me a case of the sads. But I made it out without being shanked so that was nice.

    Recent find at the Outlet

This store has undergone some welcomed improvements in the last few months. The atmosphere is calmer. Shoppers are more mannerly and employees seem more at ease. The layout has been rearranged, and the changing of the bins is done with less tension than before. Maybe there's new management? Good job, Goodwill Outlet! I enjoy your store, and with these improvements, I've been recommending it to friends.

I've never been inside the place. I just use the drive up donation drop off. The employees are always friendly.

Next year we hope to leave FL -- sorry, the state doesn't do it for me -- and sell my house, furnished. Art that I cherish is coming with me, but I don't want to leave bare walls. We fell upon Community Thrift Store almost inadvertently. They have plenty of framed pictures and wall hangings, some well-priced, some over the top. I have no interest in anything mass-produced that looks like it belongs in Motel Six. Simply put, I know what I like when I see it. And I saw it! A nicely framed, beautifully matted and signed photograph by R.C. Fulwiler from Saugatuck, MI. Reasonably priced at $15, it was also eligible for a 40% discount. Score! Community Thrift has furniture, most in very good shape. (Maybe I should have bought the solidly-built handmade table, also priced at $15.) There's a rack of clothing, supposedly from Chico's -- eh -- and other items one normally finds thrifting. Walking out I noticed that the store is under the direction of Shell Point, a wonderful senior community that houses the Tribby Gallery. (Tribby's exhibits always pique my interest. If you're local, check their schedule.) Proceeds go towards combatting Parkinson's disease. I like this place!
