We've been to this Salvation Army before. I think it was a few years back. The store, itself, is huge inside with multiple rooms for each category -- you enter where the clothes are, then there's another for all the bric a brac and housewares, and another for furniture. I've left out a few categories. You'll certainly get in all your daily step requirements walking around the entire store. I didn't find any clothes here this time, but my girlfriend found a top she couldn't resist and a real leather purse (for $4). My husband found a perfect pair of designer shorts. I especially liked the bric a brac and made sure to visit each set display. The china, et al, seemed to be arranged by color and by type. And then I discovered that they were putting out more stock, so I had to re-visit all the shelves. There were a number of items that appealed, but I was only looking for small items as we were "on the road". I did buy an adorable cloisonne pill box with an attached lid. I'll use it, even though it might be "valuable". If you like thrifting and bargain hunting, add this place onto to your list to visit. I always find something to buy here. It's a big store with a lot of items. Usually well-staffed and clean. Prices seem fair.

The service that comes from the ladies who work there is so refreshing!!! I love my name brands that I have purchased there for so many years. I have found some amazing finds with great prices. I look forward to see what gem I will find next. read more

Stopped in today and was really turned off by the fact that every single item that had a motor, was electronic or required batteries had a large sticker on it stating that the item was sold "As Is" and no returns allowed. an item around $200.00 had this sticker also. why would anyone take a chance on buying anything of that ilk knowing that if it was defective, they wouldn't refund it. one would just be out big bucks. I shop thrift bc I really can't afford new and I really do like supporting a charitable org. but not so sure about how charitable this place is. the prices have really skyrocketed and most of the stuff really isn't worth what they're charging. i wouldn't pay what they're asking for a used pot. I'm really shocked. look, I know they need to make money to do what they do but seriously, I'm so turned off, I don't know if I'll ever be back. read more

I cannot speak to the store inside. I did a drop off and I was underwhelmed to say the least. I have been to Salvation Army's in other places that assisted you taking things out of the car to speed up the process. The "welcome" I received felt like I was bothering the person working there. I was given no direction as to where to place the items I brought. Usually the bins are marked to let you know where to put the items. There was nothing. Brought in some household items and toys to donate. We were told they aren't taking toys anymore. I asked what they did with ones that are donated and he said they throw them away! Why are they not giving the items they don't want to another charity or church?! read more

The place is very clean looking. Everyone is very nice and very helpful. I love going there.

HORRIBLE service. Quite literally the rudest employees I've ever met. Not only are they rushing you out of the store 30 minutes before closed. I was literally yelled at across the store and chased down to my dressing room to confirm "I only had 5 items" which I did. I do know how to read. I doubt they get paid enough to be yelling at customers across the establishment, absolutely inexcusable behavior. Procedeed to get harassed by 3 different employees pressuring me to check out 15 MINUTES before close. The store closes at 5, not 4:30, not 4:45. 5PM on Saturdays. Therefore the store should operate accordingly. Used to be my favorite thrift and now I will never come back. The treatment of your customers should be priority. The way I was treated was unacceptable. read more

I was very interested in a dresser/desk. they would not bargain with me. I thought 269.00 was a little too much.

A quick stop to look at the furniture. We arrived about 15 minutes before closing time and believe me, they close on time. I was hoping to find a bookcase or some shelving, Instead, they do have a large selection of sofas and seating and a few coffee tables. Nothing that lit us up and feeling rushed didn't help. I used to love this store years ago when Mary (may she rest in peace) was the manager. I don't know who's pricing things now but they're out of their minds. $59 for used men's boots? $49 for a mildly collectible bowl that isn't worth that anywhere? A nice bicycle but $209?! It's not fun to go thrift store shopping and pay over retail. There are Dollar Tree items for $3.99, so even on half price day, it's still more expensive than DT. I drop in a couple times a year to see if they've regained their sanity, but so far they have not. They're not helping the community with these prices. They're gouging. So I don't care if their organization does help people, they'd make more $$ by pricing things more reasonably and moving more product through the store. And they'd help those that need a bargain. read more

You have to go there often. You can find awesome deals. Prices have huge swings. Sometimes they price a used item two three or four times higher than brand new identical item at Walmart. Crazy ! But, rarely you can find a gem for really cheap. Overall cool place to walk around and search for a collectible or furniture or cloths and stuff. read more

Been coming here for over a year and recently the store manager has been raising the prices tremendously , there is a polo leather jacket for $140 that has been there for weeks , ties around $7 like who is buying this stuff?! Lower the prices!! read more

I had the ABSOLUTE WORST experience here as a customer, middle aged women (who's supposedly the manager somehow??) outright was so rude and just doesn't want any business coming here way I guess. Just tried to ask for a price on a clothing item and she snickered and told me "how should I know? Can't you read?" Was so disappointed. 4526 Del Prado S. Cape Coral, FL. No one would answer the doorbell for drop off. It said to put clothing in white container. Neither my husband nor I could reach the opening. I had nice clean clothes and several leather purses and I didn't want a receipt. Just wanted to know someone would retrieve them. Last time we took them in front door because they were working on the alley and it was raining. The manager raised her voice and said NO. WE DONT EXCEPT ITEMS IN THE FRONT OF THE STORE. A kind employee said that's ok. I'll take it. She criticized the worker and said, "That's not the way we do it! " He helped anyway. Why should workers be talked to in such a way. One more thing, why do they toss complete sets of dishes in the dumpster. They were not broken until she tossed them. College kids, newly weds, would love them. Should have advertised to donate to anyone who wanted to have a yard sale. If store destroys them--why bother. read more

Always a wonderful experience! The staff is helpful and friendly! Everyone can find a treasure for the best price! I bought a beautiful mirror and was helped to my car with it(among other things)! You'll find furniture, home decorations, pictures, kitchen items, small appliances, clothing for men, women and children. 1. The parking lot is terrible...although that is the problem with the entire city. The parking lots are narrow and small. A turn off in itself. 2.Some of the old junk that is donated, clothing and old shoes. should be thrown away, even the homeless would agree. 3. Clean the store and all items for sale with bleach. Just because it is a thrift store doesn't mean you have to be thrifty on cleaning. read more

I'm giving them 3 Stars because I want to believe they are doing good work. Unfortunately, I was made to feel very unwelcome when I arrived to make donations this past weekend. The parking lot is small and narrow in front of this location and you can only arrive and leave from one direction because the other side is blocked. read more

I always donate to the Salvation Army. If you do not want items sold, you can mark them "For the homeless" which is what I do with most clothes. I noticed reviews complaining about parking for dropping off donations. If you drive around back of the store, they have a drop site that is large. The front of the store is for customers who want to browse the store and/or make purchases. The Salvation Army has helped so many people and I think, of all the charitable sites, they are truly the ones who help the most. They close at 5 p.m. I don't blame them for wanting to leave promptly at 5 p.m. If you want to browse, get there earlier. Many people have to get home to take care of their kids, cook, clean house, etc. Don't blame them for not staying to accommodate you. read more
