Another day of resale shopping! Depending on merchandise you are looking for depends on how your experience will go. I didn't find anything interesting to purchase today. Store was well lit and spacious. Items in stock range from apparel, furniture, bedding, shoes , jewelry etc. Store was cluttered in my opinion and majority of items were more junk than treasure. It was a slight odor as well and more homemade decor than home store. I won't say don't come but I will say don't get your hopes high for a bargain or a deal! read more

Good place to go when you are wanting to thrift or repurpose items. Their prices have went up from what i remember, some of the quality of items they are selling can be questionable. They should really look at their inventory before putting it out to sell. read more

They sold me a defective crockpot with a crack that ran fully through the crock, with burned-on food left between the crock and the electrical part. I couldn't tell when I bought it because they had taped the lid down, and only discovered it when I went to wash it up at home. Then they refused to make it right even though it was their error in the first place, because I'd taken the tag off the unit. I had the receipt and there were even some tag sticker bits still on the crockpot, but they refused to even give me store credit. I'm out $15 for their screwup. I'll stick to Second Chance or the O'Fallon Goodwill from here on out. (Also, some of their prices are crazy! During the trip where I bought the crockpot, I also looked at men's athletic shorts, and they were wanting $12 for most of them. They weren't even name brand or new with tags, either.) read more

Yesterday I was in Goodwill and saw a large, sturdy wooden puppet theatre--complete with stage and curtains. I knew it would be perfect for my daughter's classroom! The only problem was that it had to be disassembled to fit in my car. Lucky for me, Logan Siecmann (sp?) was working that day. He checked out the location and size of all the screws and bolts, disappeared for a minute, then brought back the perfect tools for the job. He had even thought to bring an envelope for saving the screws! In no time at all Logan had dismantled the theatre and I was on my way. Logan was delightful to chat with and clearly knew what he was doing. So a great big shoutout to Logan--Goodwill is lucky to have employees like him! Donna S. read more

This place sells complete garbage and asks too much $ - took my daughter to the toy section which was full of junk that should have been tossed instead of brought out to the sales floor. Shelves of naked Barbie's all marked for $2.50 per Barbie and the real kicker- one for $3 also naked and one of her feet was missing! Who cleared that to make it past the donation drop off. Other toys with eroded batteries and broken pieces. They definitely need quality control here. Also found a jewelry box I have been looking for but the handle was broken off and they were still asking over $10! Definitely would not recommend this place! read more

Sure, I've shopped here, 'specially when the kids were younger. As a store for used clothing and more, this place is average, but fills a great need in the E'ville - Glen Carbon area. The storefront is on the west side; out back on the east side is where you bring donations. The guys who take your stuff are friendly and hard-working, out on the hottest days and in the rain, there until 'til 7:45 pm back on Labor Day. They'll provide a form on which you can itemize your donations for tax purposes, then the staff will sign it for you. read more

This store has not been opened very long. The parking lot is full of potholes and I had to drive through water to get into the parking lot. The store was very big on the inside and I did find a few sweet deals. read more

This is a great Goodwill to go to is you are trying to find something vintage. Like my "Friends in Touch" or "town and Country Swim Club" T shirts. The best part about this store is that all the old, quirky stuff is never picked over. People aren't that into vintage Ts in the area, so there is a stupidly large selection of sweet finds. If you are in the area, check it out. And hey, it helps out those in need, so that's even better! ps don't just throw away all those old clothes and other crap that is sitting in your basement - donate! read more

I use to shop here all the time with my mom and when I mean all the time, once a week! This place has gotten more expensive and less organized. I dislike that only one person can get in between the clothing racks. Every 10 minutes, the LOUD cashiers come over the intercom and scream the deals to the customers. I think everyone should know that the white board has all the information you need for sweet Goodwill deals! The fact that they have five wheeled new item racks in from of the other rows of racks is extremely annoying as well. The books are overpriced and the lines are long. The only plus I want to give this location is the fact the dressing rooms are normally clean. I try to steer clear of this location regardless. read more

This is the most expensive Goodwill that I have ever visited. A used pair of short/shoe boots with worn out heel were sixteen dollars, left those at the store. A used coat was sixty (left that there, too). I don't know how they decide on their prices, but my mom was so disgusted that she went to her Goodwill in NC and mailed what we needed for clothes. I recommend calling and going when they half their prices on once in a while sales for green tags. Lastly, there is nauseating music from the seventy and eighties rock and roll always plays. I think I will stick to Plato's Closet in Fairview Heights rather than this place. Customer service has really improved, but they still need to work on the prices. read more

Other reviewers are pretty spot on. My guy and I used to make a trip once a week on average. However, prices have skyrocketed, especially considering it's thrift. The Hannibal, MO store is a fraction of the price on everything except clothes. That seems to be pretty universal. Sadly, I had found a ThirtyOne duffle. I didn't see a price but the cashier showed me the permanent marker price (really, gee thanks!) inside the pocket. $28! For a USED duffle. I do understand the value of ThirtyOne, but A) it's thrift, B) it's USED, and C) you just wrote that price inside the bag with a PERMANENT marker. I told her I didn't want it. I understand they're $80 retail, but that's retail AND new. A pair of Dr. Scholls striped flats were $7. I won't buy used shoes because it grosses me out. But I still think $7 is a lot for a pair of basic flats at the thrift store. I also am thoroughly annoyed by the constant "deals" coming over the PA system. The folks next door at Slackers even say it's the most annoying thing ever. My guy usually ends up over there while I search for the few-and-far-between treasures, and he says you can hear every word of their announcements. Probably a small thing and potentially useful to others, but I find it ridiculous. read more
