When you approach this place, you'll think you're arriving at luxury health club. The difference is that you can afford this one. Did you know the YMCA gives memberships to kids from low-income families? While I live much closer to the Esic campus, the appeal of the Meyer Center cannot be denied: skate center, climbing tower, tennis courts, etc. This is one of the best places in the community for individual fitness and/or family recreation.

This rapid decline to life-threatening condition feels like gross neglect. Filed complaint with Illinois Dept of Public Health. Proceed with caution--check recent inspections and talk to multiple families.

They offer furniture, beds, paint, appliances, household items, some building materials, tools, etc. Would be a great place for those starting out on their own, rehabbing or DIY'ers and all at good prices. Every changing inventory so go often. I've even found some antiques. Some items are new and donated from big box stores. The store is staffed with friendly volunteers and operated by a non-profit organization that helps those in need.
