Let me start by saying, if the head isn't right, then the rest of the body certainly will not be right. I have been shopping at the Goodwill for awhile. I have had to call corporate several times. Each issue has been severe and when I say absolutely nothing has been handled in a professional manner. One incident I was literally followed out of the store by one of their employees, only later to have been assaulted and raped by this monster. I pressed charges only for him to not serve one day in jail because of the people that are in the corporate covering this up as if it never happened. Not one time did I get an apology or anything to try and show their compassion. That's because they don't have any. They continued to allow that man to be employed with their company until it happened to another lady. I am still not sure of that man's whereabouts. This is pass sad! This company has a motto to make you feel as if they are truly about the well being of their employees and the customers. I can say different! I tried to overlook the circumstances because I help women in domestic violence situations after this happened to me. I buy them things out of my own funds and each time I continued to go to different locations, I am still being treated like trash. I feel as if because they know me an alert has been discussed as to watch out for me. It's not fair because I am the victim, not them! I am writing this review so that when and if you choose to go shopping or take your donations you are very careful. If I were you I would drop all donations at your nearest Salvation Army Store and shop there. This is a Christian establishment and they treat you with common curiosity and good customer service. They truly practice what their mission statement stands for because they are happy to see you come back. Goodwill has become an establishment that only wants to see how many donations they get, how many people they can hurt and act as if everything is alright, even when they know their wrong. I guess the more money you help them make, the more they will have to sweep things under the rug and act just like it's not even there, meaning absolutely nothing to them at all. I refuse to let these type people prosper from my goods. We as customers should not be disrespected, we should be treated with the up most respect because after all, if we stop , they can not run without us. Last but not least, one of the nicer workers that tried to assist me in another situation, got fired and she had children to care for. She did nothing wrong and they said she was not terminated because of...but I beg the difference. She had been there for years and all of a sudden, she's let go. This company is not who they portray to be. It is a bunch of greedy, ungrateful and inconsiderate wolves in sheep clothing. Let them feel the wrath of God! Donate your goods to mom and pop thrift stores that are truly making a difference in someone's life. Salvation Army in Greensboro, West End Ministry in High Point, Next Level Ministry in Kernersville, just to name a few. I wonder how many others have been silent and afraid to say anything. We stopped here on our trip from No Va. It looked large so we were excited at what we might find. So disappointed in this place. So poorly organized. Looks like the employees just bring the stuff out and threw things anywhere. We left without buying a thing. Most things looked junky. Skip this location! read more

From a reseller- amazing experience. I stayed all day at the bins and found a ton of designer and vintage goods. The t shirt bros were nice and there wasn't a lot of competition. Staff was the best part. Zay helped me get as many books as I could to my car. At this location people start picking at the bins before the bin actually makes a full stop. I still found unique things in the picked over bins. And everyone lines the walls with their carts covered. Chill vibes and fun 80s music played. They sell snacks and drinks which was nice and bathroom next store in the retail shop. Loved it. read more

This location is just okay. Their household items were a little scarce. Everything was organized. The outlet is on the small side for a Goodwill. The cashier was nice but they didn't have any paper to wrap my breakable items in. The restroom was clean and smelled pleasant. The parking was sufficient and very close. read more

Overnight prices went up 20% on all categories. This is after several price increases this year. Discontinued Teacher and First Responder discount earlier this year, discontinued card discount that we paid for. $7 for a used dress is ridiculous and now means I cannot even afford Goodwill. Go to Forsyth County where prices are more reasonable and if you get home with a dress full of holes at least you can take it back. read more

I purchased a sewing machine on Shop Goodwill auction (an amazing site, better than ebay and of course with proceeds going to a worthy charity), it was being sold by this particular branch of Goodwill (while I live in NYC). My winning bid wasn't very high (it was not a popular sewing machine) so i was worried that perhaps taking time to pack it carefully wouldn't be a priority since given the time it would take, Goodwill would be losing money on the unit. When Fedex delivered it, I couldn't believe how beautifully and carefully this item was packed and how quickly the store shipped it out. The people who work at this store (managers and workers) must be amazing. I am so grateful. I am unemployed and to be able to procure a sewing machine of this quality in great condition seemed out of reach, but here I am just delighted and even in tears. the unit was described and photographed perfectly by whomever inspects the units and writes the online descriptions. So I don't know much about their physical location but their online division is out of control. Selling empty Action figure boxes like they are ebay, At 7.99 starting bid, 3.99 handling fee and 1 lb shipping weight. What! What is going on with goodwill online auctions. This is a New low, your not eBay and never will be. Your suppose to be goodwill but now all you care about is making more and more money mister not for profit. Getting crazy when I see an empty Action figure box from the 90's going for almost 20.00 on goodwill online. They really need to calm down. read more

I dropped off some clothes as a donation on Thursday at the South Elm Eugene store in Greensboro, Nc. Upon giving the donation to the men at the drop off center, the older man gave me a negative comment. He said these clothes must have been sitting somewhere because they smell like mildew. He said if they are mildew then it will be thrown out. What a negative thing to say to a customer. I was highly insulted because the clothes that I donate are always clean. I will never donate anything else nor buy anything from this store ever again. read more

Saturday evening I decided to stop by Goodwill and my my my what did I find as soon as I walk in a nice couch. It was more so a two seater chair but it was beautiful and a very very very good condition. I was a little hesitant on the price it was a little bit more than I wanted to pay but as soon as I sat down on this chair man was I surprised it was extremely comfortable yet firm. And that was the deal breaker I purchase the chair and I believe it was a great great great investment. I went back later on in the evening prior to closing to pick up this chair and I found a few other gems. I will be visiting this place again and hopefully I can found something that compliments this chair. read more

The outlet side of the goodwill is bad. They have nice employees at the front working the register but the people who work in the back are either lazy, or they just don't have enough employees. There's always one guy walking around talking to people and he is the one who is supposed to be bringing new bins out. He may bring out 2-3 new rows of bins throughout the whole day when every other goodwill outlet is on a time schedule where they bring new ones out every 30 minutes. Wouldn't really recommend this one, and hope it will change. read more

I'm telling you now, if you are not going to this Goodwill, you are missing out! OMG, I stopped by yesterday while I was home for the Thanksgiving holiday and GLAD I did. So they had all kinds of new item in boxes coming out for the back room. Charges (for your plates) were still in boxes from Belk for $40 and they were only 4.99! Tons of Christmas items, still new in the box! Clothes wise, I got a new Victoria's Secret bathing suit, bikini, leopard print, two bras in perfect condition-not sure if they have ever been worn for $2.49, a girls perfect condition Ralph Lauren plaid skirt, Taylor Dress (this particular dress was in pristine condition and retails for nothing less than $89 dollars) for $5, pack of new black hand napkins for my bathroom for only .49 cents, they were marked down from being .99 cents! Now, don't get me wrong, it took some serious time to go through everything but it was well worth my time, time in my book is money! Money saved :) Happy hunting. I recently visited the Goodwill store on South Eugene street and was happy with the items I purchased. Goodwill is a thrift store that has really great things you can get for low prices. They have name brand items that are used and they have some brand new items as well. I purchased my daughter a pair of Rockawear skinny jeans for $5 bucks! I also found housewares and a couple of Christmas gifts for family members .I enjoyed the visit and will go again. read more
