Everyone is always so nice and helpful. well today I guess the manager was having a bad day or maybe she's just a b-, but I found a serving tray I liked and it DID NOT have a sticker when I found it. It was on top of a nearly identical one ( 19$ I think). I go to checkout and the cashier calls her to get a price check. She snatches it from the cashier and walks off. Comes back and says "crazy how the sticker keeps disappearing, 25$" insinuating I myself have removed it. let me make it very clear that she said this very loud and hostile to where I, and other shoppers could hear this. this isn't how she should be conducting herself or speaking to customers this way. read more

Was down in Newnan visiting the family and swung in so my Aunt could scoop her up a few things for a new job she just got (yay her!). This particular Goodwill is located on Bullsboro Drive behind the Taco Bell, in the same shopping center as Big Lots. Given its location, parking is never an issue. I have been here many times over the years and I will say that this particular location is always clean, well organized and well stocked. Service here was decent, we were greeted on the floor and the cashier was pleasant as well. Overall, this is your basic Goodwill location that is there when you need it! read more

The Newnan Goodwill is honestly a joke. I found two identical sets of wine glasses. One was priced at $2.99, and the other didn't have a tag. I asked if they could price match since they were literally the exact same, and they refused. Instead, they priced the untagged set at $5.99. And expected me to be okay with that. Are you serious? I'm a longtime Goodwill shopper and a frequent this location often. I support Goodwill's mission and strongly believe in reuse as a way prevent further damage to the environment. The employees have always been friendly and the store is typically clean and easily to navigate. Clothing is organized by size and color making it easier to find pieces that fit. Unfortunately, the recent price increases make shopping here less desirable - I can purchase many of the items new on sale at other retailers. I understand the need to raise prices so that Goodwill can use profits back into the community (which I prefer to individual resellers buying and flipping), but the balance has tipped. Hopefully, the increase in prices translates directly to higher pay for retail/store employees. read more

I was shopping today for my daughter a jacket. They are $2.49 for little girls. I got to the register and it did not have a color tag on it so the clerk called for a manager. The manager came looked at me, took it to the back, and then marked the jacket $9.99. SERIOUSLY! Now I'm going back to the store to buy a brand new jack for $10. I cannot believe they would mark it up like that for a little girls jacket that was worn, and not mildly work. I was buying for a costume. Clearly I was disappointed and I won't be donating to this particular store again. There are two other stores local that I will go to. Pretty bad business. I am a fan of Goodwill, and have been for many years. I happen to like Tommy Bahama, Brooks Brothers, North Face, Patagonia, Timberland, Nautica, Polo, and Life Is Good clothes. Thanks to Goodwill, I have a closet full of these. The two Goodwill stores in Newnan are managed by the Southern Rivers branch. They don't have Senior discounts on Tuesday, or any other day for that matter. Also, both stores are more cluttered and have a much more limited inventory of men's clothes than the Goodwill stores in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, Cumming, Johns Creek, and Peachtree Corners. You will find much more luxury brand items on the Northside, at better prices. Both Newnan stores tend to be about 10 to 15% higher priced, item-for-item. The electronics inventories down here are much smaller than, say, the Johns Creek store. So, on most Tuesdays, if I'm going to head out thrift shopping, I'm buckling in and headed north, where a 25% Senior Tuesday discount awaits me. read more

People donate items to Goodwill ( meaning that Goodwill get the items for free. I don't know how they go about pricing these items that was DONATED to them,but when it come to pricing I think that they are downright ridiculous. I used to shop here at least once a week. I loved being able to buy nice clothes at a bargain price. I understand that no business can continue to sell their items at the same price year after year, but when used items from places like Loft that look clearly worn and is missing a button is marked $12.99, that's absolutely ridiculous. They had a pair of Miss Me jeans DONATED to them that they marked $49.99. Your better off going to a consignment store and buying gently worn items for the same or lower price. read more

Wish I could give zero stars! This place is a joke! I, along with many others, will not be going back to this goodwill. The prices continually rise, and the special prices on what they consider to be designer items are close to retail. I get having higher prices for designer labels, but those employees pricing these items should be educated about designer brands and how to spot a knockoff! And the last time I checked, Old Navy was not featured on the runway at Fashion Week! These items were donated, so free! Yet they jack up the prices, and then ask if you want to round up your total to donate again! We are donating by buying these items! Whether it's a GED program or "scholarship" program, I do not like to be hounded to round up and donate again! $29.99 for an obvious fake coach purse with the paint peeling off of the vinyl and broken strap!! Not kidding. The manager was complaining loudly in front of customers about personal problems. The place smells horrible. And several very rude employees. I have been faithfully donating to goodwill for years, as well as a shopping. I will not ever give my items to this place again! There are many other thrift stores in the area who do more for the community and will not operate as though they are a retail store selling new items at retail prices for a huge profit. You are better off at these other stores or buying from eBay. And you're donated items should go elsewhere. Friends of mine have said they aren't going back. Had an awful experience today with a rude manager/cashier(WS). She has been rude very often, usually going out of her way to make me feel like I'm the one up to no good. I spend from 50.00 - 200.00 average a week In Various used retail stores. all around this area. Out of all of them and the many employees, she has the worst people skills. This location is pretty well maintained and organized. The prices can be a little high for a secondhand store but I have found a few hidden gems. Customer service is definitely lacking but I have found that to be true of most chain thrift stores. Overall, if you like thrifting/junking this place is worth a stop. read more

I like going to goodwills so I'm used to the faint Oder used things can have, but when I tell you this place stunk. As soon as I walked in I smelled urine, the smell went throughout the whole store, but was more pungent towards the entrance and middle of the place. I thought as long as the changing rooms don't smell I'll try on what I need and get out of here. I walked in and they actually smelled fine. So I look around and see a pubic hair on the metal wall handle and some stains on the walls, so I hang the clothes on the door because it was the safest option. I get to the last item to try on and find a small hidden stain (which comes with used clothes sometimes of course) but I thought it was kinda gross so I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, my sister needed to use the restroom so she came with. Of course it stunk but I didn't really notice it since I had been smelling urine for the past 15 minutes in the main store area, the first stall she went in didn't lock, the second had mounds of toilet paper in the toilet and a number 2 that had stacked and clogged it, the one of the three toilets worked but it was occupied. I washed my hands with the only faucet that worked out of the two (at least they had soap ig) and watched as the lady that was in that stall opened the door and walked out without washing her hands (but that's just a side note) Anyways we get done, my sister grabs some toilet paper, opens the door with it and we leave. The dresses were like $20 a piece too so we left without getting anything. We were just happy to smell some fresh air again. In conclusion someone definitely peed somewhere in that place other than the bathroom, it was overpriced, and I'll nvr be back there again. read more
