With this review it only reflects on the corporate office. As of late they have taken away all of the color ticket sales, when I asked about it I was told it was because customers would change them. OK I understand that, then they went to monthly deals that weren't all that great but it was something. As for the March deals none. Asked for the manager to see why and was told it was because corporate offices didn't give them any special offers for the customers. Please keep in mind these are the same people who DONATE to the Goodwill stores!!! Please what kind of store treats the customers that donate to them in that manner???? I've donated 100's of times and shopped there for years. Plenty of great people who work there. The Manager on duty "Jenna"acted extremely unresponsive and unprofessional and petty with how she handled a situation the other day. A customer bumping his cart into me and was using extreme profanity in the store the other day and the management on duty was extremely weak in their response to this belligerent customer who was using profanity in front of customers and their children, and in front of a responding employee . Asked them repeatedly to take action and they acted weak in their response to this customer who clearly crossed the line. Today when I followed up with this manager and she smirked and turned petty and unprofessional Screamed at me in front of my kid (petty and childish behavior) as we were making our last donation ever after I asked for an apology she acted childish and asked me to apologize. I believe management at this location is poor and I think the other locations are run much better. This manager was a poor example to the employees nearby which witnessed her childish behavior. I will never shop or donate at this location again. read more

It should remove bed bugs before you hang clothing on the rack in the store .. wow I don't shop anywhere their in Goodwill.

I love Goodwill for many reasons. The Kenosha store has high ceilings, & pleasant music. Well organized & fair pricing. Those that complain of quality & over pricing seem to have no concept of thrift store shopping. This is NOT a retail establishment & they receive what is donated. I am grateful for their participation in keeping America's gratuitous spending & discarding from the landfill. Keep up the good work. read more

I have to up my rating because my "score percentage" here has always been pretty high in the probably 2 dozen times I've made the trek. I've gotten some great things here. I found my dining room chandelier for $10 at a time I was about to purchase one from Home Depot for at least 15 times that. And some decent framed wall art for even less. I will go so far as to say that a good portion of home items used in a light remodeling overhaul project were gotten from this location and I saved TONS. I won't be going to this location any more as I don't plan on ever being in that area (it really is too far) but... it was great while it lasted. read more

Wow my first time there and i loved it!! i collect porcelain dolls but get them at other thrift stores for about 10-15 dollars but here i got mine for 2 dollars! now thats a deal! they had vhs's, (old, but good) cd's, brand name clothes, cute purses and wallets, belts, etc. the prices are great! also, if you are a student, you get a 10% discount on all your purchase, if you bring your student ID. great to spend an afternoon! :) read more

I feel like most thrift stores are upping their prices, lately. It's a bummer but nothing stays the same forever. I don't interact much w the employees so cannot speak much to that but I enjoy going to this location and am glad they are open on Sundays. That's somewhat rare for thrift stores. Easy to donate to as it's minutes away from my house but that's about all I have good to say about it. The stuff there is overpriced, once I found an upright piano I was interested in for my girlfriend, but had a big "DO NOT TOUCH" sign on it and NO EMPLOYEES in sight to ask if it was ok to test out. Furniture is usually gross. Men's clothing area is next to nonexistent. Plato's closet has much better section for clothes for guys or girls. Oh, and staff here is typically super rude (and I know Goodwill says they try to employ people with disabilities, but I work with people with disabilities, and I have never seen an employee here who has some sort of disability, unless I somehow didn't notice.). I tried giving this place several chances as I'm big into reusing and recycling but it's just not worth it. read more

I really like going to this Goodwill. They have a large selection of books, housewares, and clothes. Regarding the last post, prices are pretty much the same as every other Goodwill in the region, except the ones in the nicer North Shore suburbs where clothes are about $1 more. I didn't see anything for hundreds of dollars! I also would point out that Goodwill, while a great place to find used cheap clothes, exists to make money for job training programs, not to provide subsidized clothing and housewares for poor people. If they can sell a dresser for more than I'd want to pay, I want them to go for it. I want them to make as much money as they can to support their charitable operations. But I didn't see anything that was out of the ordinary for all the Goodwill stores around here. Anyway, my two cents. Oh, I also enjoy the friendly staff. They're always nice and helpful. read more

Ok, so the main reason I give this a bad review is for the prices. Things at this goodwill are WAAAAAYYYYY over-priced. Things that are just "in-style" today, like an antique looking chest, can run you a couple hundred bucks. People give these things to goodwill for free. Then Goodwill turns around and sells them for a ton of money. Makes it hard for poor people to buy things. I have gone in and found some clothes that were more expensive at the goodwill then new in the target down the street. I just think that is silly. read more

Firstly let me say that I have never before posted a negative review and also that I used to love this store and would recommend it, it always had a large selection and although thrift stores have been pushing the limits of what they could charge, this store kinda-sorta held the line and was 'pretty reasonable' with their pricing. Something recently has changed and my most recent experience compels me to write this review of this store. New manager?? No idea, but the store is not recognizable now. Let me start with the reconfiguration of the shelving and organization (??) of items. It seems that shelving has been reduced considerably, and stuff moved around so that there are no longer 'aisles' near the front of the store but more like 'pods' to shop from, making traffic jams and really awkward for navigating with a cart, not to mention the lack of space for merchandise. The next unfortunate turn for the worse; the merchandise....what can I say here except there's all this empty space now, and you can take your pick between broken scuffed up cast offs or beautiful, new looking Target salvage.....not much in between. And why are those pretty newish items still there!? Omgosh the high unrealistic PRICES. I had to post after yesterday's experience. Chairs that used to be $14, or maybe pushing it at $19.99....now $49! A mediocre fake wood chest ...$49! (And it was one of the only pieces of furniture out there). A lamp of the type that used to be $3.99....$19.99!! And this huge jump in pricing pretty much happened in the course of a month or so. I shake my head. Clothes that were $2.99 or 3.99...forget it. There were boxes from the DOLLAR STORE (and broken too) priced $1.99...C'mon- you can go get it for half of that brand new. I asked where the jewelry was, and they informed me I'd have to go 'online' to purchase jewelry from Goodwill from now on. And as if that were not the last straw, the person at the checkout register asked me if I wanted to 'round up' my purchase to support the mission. I think they are overplaying their 'second hand' and it's unfortunate. I hope they turn away from this policy of high pricing and selling online. They earned a great success doing what they did well- and the prices were pretty reasonable, the merchandise accessible (in the store!)... so we miss you old Goodwill! Come back, please. read more

I called to ask if they have pick up service for donations, they do not. They missed out on a TON of good stuff, I am moving and I am downsizing...lot of household goods, crafts, furniture etc. I will be giving ALL the merchandise to another organization that has pick up service. They might want to look into getting a pick up service...... read more
