Out of all the Goodwills I want to lean towards giving this one 4 and 1/2 Stars. This Goodwill was very well organized and it featured the best selection of men's clothing and everything that I come to expect in a Goodwill store. What does shoot this place down is that it is unfortunately pretty pricey to shop here. This place has a few dressing rooms and modest restrooms. It's a nice, peaceful location with plenty of people shopping here for the holidays. Great selection of knick knack items and unbelievable household finds. Definitely recommend stopping at this Goodwill! read more

This GW wasn't bad. Large, well organized and clean. Section in the back features sports fan clothing. The housewares section didn't have a whole lot, and prices were decent. Smallest section of furniture I've ever seen in a GW. read more

I guess thrift stores are what you find in them, and it's always hit or miss. But at this store, it's more than that. The employees clearly give zero effort to try. They don't even care if you walk through the door. For example, I went there looking for a fun gift under five dollars to give at a thrifing Christmas get together. I found a couple things I was kind of interested in... a movie on DVD I hadn't seen in a long time that was in good condition and a vinyl record that I thought would at least be fun to take pictures of and post on some bad record cover pages. I go to the register and there's already a man standing there waiting to be checked out. Some woman is screwing around with a vacuum cleaner by the door. And I have no idea what she's doing. Maybe she was trying to figure out how to turn it on? She just kept fiddling around with it. She'd look at us by the register and go back to trying to figure out something with the vacuum cleaner. So vacuuming the mats by the front door can't wait? That's your priority over paying customers? This goes on for a few minutes. Eventually, the guy in front of me just leaves his stuff on the counter and walks out. I follow him. This was my first time at this particular Goodwill. Any time I've been at Goodwill in any other location, it's always been a disappointing stop, but at least they had employees who acted like they wanted to be there. I suggest driving a bit further to another thrift store. This one doesn't want you there, clearly. read more

I just love Thrift store shopping! This Goodwill was very clean. I was impressed by how well-organized the merchandize was and by the over-all sterile feeling of the place. They had appropriate and fun music playing over the speakers and I was able to find a few items for my new apartment. The transaction at the register was pleasant and I was pleased with my visit to this Goodwill location. read more

I shop this store regularly and have spent hundreds of dollars over the last 3 years. During the Pandemic I noticed prices increased quite a bit. I felt like I was in an antique mall instead of a thrift store. Then last year they came out with their rewards program similar to other thrift stores. That made the high prices a little easier to bear and you could get 25% off on Senior Day. Today, I visited the store and was informed the rewards program has been discontinued and the senior discount dropped to 15% instead of 25%. I think their donations are down and I understand why. They are no longer a reasonable place to shop. I can still get rewards and 25% senior discount at Red Racks and 25% at Hillcrest, so I think I will just skip Goodwill from now on. read more

I love the Lee Summit Goodwill! The employees are so personable! The Manager Nathan does a good job switching up the store making it easy to shop! And Requel is a mover and groover!! She works fast and furious but she will always stop and talk to the customers and help them. This is definitely my favorite Goidwill!! read more

it's actually now a 1 and not a zero. the new assistant management is great. but the prices are as high as Whitney Houston in a bathtub. The store manager, dark headEd gal, she wouldn't even go get a box when I had $90 of glasses. She didn't care. She just wanted to go down. and honestly, found some prices from a 2017 plate and similar in 2022. tripled in price. but employees aren't making triple. read more

I don't know what was in the store, but I will never take my donations to this store again. The person working in the back could care less about the goods people brought in. He was throwing things in boxes 10 feet away, dumping breakable household items from one box to another with glass breaking and parts getting all mixed together. I held back a box of nice electronics so that he wouldn't break them. I took another load to a different thrift store in Lee's Summit and the experience was much better. The worker was very careful with our good, he was friendly and helped me unload the car. They obviously value my donation more than Goodwill. read more

I used to like this thrift store but it looks like they never get anything in there. Multiple times I've been in there, there were families poking their heads in the back room asking employees to pull out items and price them specifically for them. Not sure if they're related to the employees but it seems unfair. Don't really help you unload stuff when you donate anything, and I've seen them throw away entire boxes of donated stuff just from looking at what's on top. If you're in the market for cheap furniture though, this is the place to go. read more

Goodwill lees summit mo It is not in my best opinion i walked in there they only have 10 racks in the whole store plus most of the toy in there store are broke thus the reason i donated a broken etch-a-sketch And also most of the stuff is missing the price tag so who knows how much it cost not me. Also its a thrift store (no offense red racks and hill crest) and all the toys are worn out or covered in dust cause no ones touched them in months and at thrift stores there's no restocking an item there only one of everything there plus it's mostly empty so there just wasting usable space how about add another rack or two. And when see something that looks semi interesting as stated before IT IS MISSING THE PRICE TAG oh and also most thrift stores don't have nice tiled floors but have hard dusty cement floors And also who knows where those toys were before they got donated. Plus if there's a toy that is SUPPOSED to have multiple parts half of em are MISSING so in conclusion good will is not exactly my cup of tea no offense to the employees they just work there. read more

This store was clean but very sparse. I am not sure if this is the norm for this store, but we were disappointed. Very little for housewares or toys, almost no furniture. There were plenty of women's clothes and they were well organized and clean. This would be my last stop for thrift stores in the Lee's summit area. read more

I wasn't a big fan on shopping at thrift stores, but now I love shopping at the goodwill store here at leessummit. It's under new management and now the store is always so clean and well organized the manger by the name Mrs Tanya keeps that store together, she makes sure you don't have to wait long in line at the checkout, she always have backup too assist you when you need help, they speak when you enter the store with a pleasant hello and always very friendly. I just enjoy talking to one of my favorite cashiers by the names Janet & Gail they are also hard and good workers and fast cashiers at the checkout. Mrs Tanya (manger) keeps that store stock with merchandise on a daily basis, I know this cause I shopped at that store almost every day. I'm a very satisfied customer and thanks to the manger Mrs Tanya for operating a outstanding store for the goodwill operation at leessummit. Keep up the great work Mrs Tanya. This is one of the best and clean and very organized goodwill stores I shop at under new management here at this leessummit store. And some of the others.
