Nice friendly staff, easy drop off with donations. I do wish they would open up the dressing rooms.

Really large, fun thrift. I ran out of time here and need…read moreto go back to explore more. They are open most nights until 8pm. Time goes by fast when you are in there! This is the only location I've been to so far. They had a large selection of most everything! I bought some clothing including a piece of vintage. They have a small section of vintage. It's very hit or miss but some fun pieces. A cool book of art. A couple of electronic items. New shoes. Some nice, like new water bottles. They also have larger items and furniture but I didn't look very closely at any of those items. The prices seem mostly reasonable and good discounts. They have a ticket color for the day and those items are half off. They had a weekend special of $10 off of $35, and they offer a 30% military discount everyday and a 30% senior discount on Mondays. I had no problem receiving the military discount by showing my ID. And having that discount every day is almost unheard of! Very nice! There were people working in the store but they weren't overly friendly. It was getting near the end of the day and I think they were ready to end their work day. I can understand that. The guy who rang us up was pretty friendly and ensured I got my discounts. I got a whole cart of items for less than $100. It was a lot! They do not have a changing room so you can't try anything on. That's the main reason for 4 stars instead of 5. You just have to chance it. Otherwise, this would be a 5 star review. I definitely want to go back here and check out their other locations.

I am so pleased with the great piano teacher match through Shining Light Music. When I called to…read moreinquire about teachers, I communicated that our requirements are stringent: my son is 6 yrs old, and while he likes piano, he doesn't looove piano, so the lessons have to be fun and engaging to encourage his progress. He's had 1.5 years piano instruction, and he doesn't respond well to some of the "too basic" piano book courses we had temporarily explored with a couple past teachers, so it's a challenge to level him up with material and technique that is age appropriate and fun enough but not too basic, nor too complex. And we had limited time availabilty as our schedules are maxed... It's such a blessing that the receptionist recommended Ms. Emily Shelp! Ms. Emily is well qualified; she possesses a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Bob Jones University and has been playing since she was 7 yrs old. Her bio is coming soon to the Shining Light Music teacher page. Best of all, she strikes the right notes - I couldn't resist the pun! - in working on my son's technique and making it fun. She motivates him with weekly fun point-competitions (to earn country stickers in his passport, medals, trophy, etc.) which has resulted in him reminding me that he has to memorize a song for the next lesson..cuz he wants the points! (whoo hoo, he's no longer resistant to practicing!!!!) I feel that she is the right piano teacher for his current level and needs; she employs a cheerful and focused Kindergarten/First Grade encouraging teaching style to keep all the lessons fun and on track, she's able to motivate and consistently award with positive reinforcement, able to redirect him when he gets silly (after all he's been in school all day, then straight to his lesson!) and I appreciate how she is able to teach finer technique in a way that he understands. She would be great for both beginner and advanced students.

I was so impressed with the store that I did some thrift thing for the first time in a couple of decades. The staff was super helpful and kind, most folks there are volunteers. I was able to find a pin striped suit that fit me for $30. All I have to do is get the pants hemmed because I am short. I also got a couple of shirts, including a KC Royals shirt for five dollars because I didn't have one. Students and teachers get discounts on Friday and seniors 55+ get 25% off on Wednesdays. I love that this store works with people who are transitioning from being unhoused to housed and they let them come in and select whatever they need for their new place with no charges. For this reason, we will be making all of our donations at Hillcrest thrift store from now on.

Excuse me jerk, if you don't want to work there than quit !!! If you're terrified of working a few minutes late to deal with customers that are giving you money, you're in the wrong business !! Meanwhile the new store , Savers , next door actually keeps good business hours and doesn't scream rude crap at customers . Also the nasty old woman at the front counter was very rude trying to rush people out . I will never shop there again and will now donate to savers , I hope they put you out of business
