I have shopped in many Goodwill stores and this is the priciest I've seen. The cashiers are friendly and helpful but the management appear to be completely oblivious to the concept of good customer service. I visit this store, my least favorite Goodwill, at least once a week. The staff recognizes me as I usually find something worth the price. They always let me know I can return items within 10 days. While I usually don't return items as this is a charitable organization to which I contribute, I recently felt the need to return a foot bath that wouldn't work without the missing remote. I grabbed the receipt and ran to the store to return the item and do some shopping. I was told that this receipt for this item and this date of sale and my credit card number...was the wrong one. (I only grabbed one of the several receipts they gave me last Sunday...the others were tucked in at home.) The Manager was called and she grumbled at me, "You won't be getting your money back next time without the right receipt." I joked, "hey, I was cleaning and my receipts aren't cooperating with it." She reiterated, "this is the last time." Now, I've NEVER returned anything to Goodwill at any time in my half-century of shopping there...and I was told this would be the "last time" I could return something. I was shocked. I felt like saying..."wanna bet?" But I didn't...I held my tongue...got my money back and left...never to return. Keep your overpriced items...I'll do my thrifting at friendlier and less expensive stores. (Oh, and glad you got your smoke detector fixed...the chirping was driving me crazy last week...I was told the "Manager was in charge of that also.) read more

I'm giving this location 3 stars due to the friendly employees...I witnessed how hard they were working...cleaning, sweeping, organizing, wiping down shelves. Very polite, attentive courteous employees on the floor and behind the register....however......OVER. PRICED. Men's shirts , with damage, or slight faded damage...$10 and $20 . Very, very outdated Banana Republic pieces marked $20, $30 and $40. Off the rack massively produced Calvin Klein used, no tags , pieces you can purchase at Ross, Marshall's....marked $30 and $45. Women's used , very worn shoes priced at $6 is overpriced. $6.99 for a simple off brand button down shirt. Many names that can purchased at the above mentioned stores are used, no tags and marked $12.99. The store was organized this evening and again, the employees were working hard and friendly..but over priced. We shop here due to low income, budgets, fixed income etc...whomever is responsible for pricing this location...please pay attention...your used, donated items are WAY overpriced. I am aware the profits help communities, families in need, etc...however, many of us shopping here are in need as well. It infuriates me when I see these over priced items and I google the salaries of the CEO of Goodwill and other higher up executives...thrift stores are getting greedy y'all...OVER. PRICED. read more

This place is really a hit or miss. I think you have to be "lucky" to find some awesome items. I came to this location just last week and walked out with nothing , but today I was able to rummage through 2 large bins of handbags. I have been on the hunt for some vintage handbags and came across some Liz Claiborne satchels, a rather tattered Balenciaga (too tattered to save :[) and a quilted black evening bag I ended up taking home for $1.99. Overall I think thrift shopping is really successful it you go to the right places at the right times. I give it three stars just because the handbags could have been more organized rather thrown in large trash bins. read more

Been going to this store since it opened as an occasional treat, but now that I've retired, it's more of a necessity. Have always loved going there and have found some good and reasonable bargains over the years. Found out today that they have recently raised their prices. I found that some of the new prices are WAY beyond ridiculous. A cheap plastic bangle bracelet that you can get "3 for a dollar" anywhere in town, is now $3.99 at Goodwill----and it's USED. That doesn't make any kind of sense !!! They used to be 99 cents. That's an increase of 400 %, folks . I can understand a reasonable increase, but this is crazy. I found several other items that had similarly unbelievable increases. Hate to say it, but guess I'll have to stop shopping there. May as well go to Macy's sales & get my stuff new, if I'm gonna pay those prices at Goodwill. read more

I was just refused delivery of donations at this location. When I asked if there were gondolas to load the material in, I was told no, yet 6 empty gondolas were available. I was told they were to full to accept donations; however the facility was mostly empty. This occurred between 3:30 and 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 18th. I was told by one of the employees his name was Joe and the other was Jose; however with such poor customer service I doubt that was the truth. I have been donating to Goodwill for over 20 years and I am appalled at the lack of gratitude and service I received. I will be telling this story to all friends and family and hopefully their donations will go to a more gracious, and appreciative charity. read more

This used to be a good place to go and find some good deals on decent clothes. I was shocked by the high prices when I went a few days ago. Ladies coats were $14.99 and $29.99, even though some had holes in them and were in very poor condition. Everything was priced higher then the last time and the lady manager was kind of bossy and rude to the staff. It made me uncomfortable. I don't think I will be back. They don't have coupons any more and it looks like they only have 25% off on a few days of the month. read more

is the white, middle aged lady with brown hair a manager yet? if not, she should be. some of the workers here are lazy as heck. lines of 5-10 people and one cashier? If you're going to sell your clothes for a price that is NOT consistent with most thrift stores, that needs to be addressed. i worked in the service industry for a long time and none of my stores would get away with this. that said, i find cute stuff here a lot but waiting in the line alone is a good 10-15 minutes sometimes. hire some more people or let the ones that don't want to work go and do their own thing. read more

I went to this store on 3/24/14 looking for a specific item to re-use in a craft project. Walking around this store was a sad experience. I saw a child's jacket with a torn sleeve for $5.99; yellow plastic "Fuzzy's Taco" cups, and other assorted junk. There used to be a time when you could walk through a thrift store and come out with some great finds. My thoughts yesterday were, "People, please don't donate TRASH. Throw it away!". I wish that the people who ran this store with take it the initiative to simply discard trash. Yes, "one man's trash is another man's treasure" sometimes...but in this case; the store was stocked with far too much 100% no-doubt-about-it GARBAGE. When I am sorting things to give away, I ask, "Would I want to wear that or put it on my child?" If the answer is no, I trash it. I'm not talking fashion taste, I'm talking condition. read more

This store has some great finds, but every time I go and a woman they call "Red" is working my heart sinks. She has got to be the most condescending woman I have ever heard talk to employees. She speaks to them as though they are 4 year old children. I have been coming here for years, as I grew up in Plano. Most of the clerks are perfectly nice, capable, and intelligent. She treats them appallingly. Last week I witness her ask a clerk "Now Steve, what did we talk about? Do you remember?" In a slow, drawn out voice like she was instructing a child to pick up there room. (Steve is not the same she used btw) Please know I have talked to this clerk dozens of times as he has worked for almost a year at least. He is in no way a slow learner or mentally disabled. Yet that is how she talks to him. When she is at the front "Suuussan, Have you taken your break yet?? Ok, I need you finish up and then I need you to take your break. Ok?" ..always in a tone as if these employees are so far beneath her they can't possibly understand her complicated directions. To top it off if its super busy she goes out of her way to tell all the people waiting in line "My apologies guys, I did schedule help today, but I guess they felt couldn't come in on time. As soon as they decide they wan't to show up we will get everyone helped." She needs a clue on how to treat people and realize people respect you if you respect them. read more

This is by far the worst Goodwill in Texas with hired thieves. I shop at many Goodwill stores looking for specific items and on multiple occasions at this Goodwill in Plano Texas after bringing items to the counter to pay for and the middle aged cashier with a brown wig told me the items were priced incorrectly and that they would cost more. Even when I found a few other items that were identical with the same price she still said that they were also priced incorrectly. Today the same thing happened when I went to the counter to ring up an item and she was the only cashier. This time she called the manager "Lawrence" and he said that the items would cost 3 times the marked price after he looked through some book with prices which didnt even match my items. After doing some google searching, this seems a common theme among Goodwill stores. Get the customer interested in an item and then tell them that it will cost more. Most customers would probably pay more because the time it took to find an item would be lost if you just walked out without it. I have noticed that she is the only one that does this so I'm not sure if corporate supports this kind of depiction. If Goodwill Corporate prices items then they should sell at that price and not some cashier made up prices. read more
