Turns out its a pretty cool costume shop with something from probably every era or genre. I mean I saw everything from 20's gangster to batman. Since I was with my 14 year old, most of my time was force in the disco era, she thinks its fascinating and loves the colors. I too was amazed at the size of the selection of 70's clothing. While I don't see myself shopping here daily, I will say that I will never buy a Halloween outfit anywhere else but here. Why would I. Matter of a fact, I think I'm going to plan my outfits for this years Halloween parties starting in early September, just so I can identify and purchase what I want early. We didn't really see much on the employee side, I'm not sure how staffed they'd be prior to any big costume type event, but one person did manage to ask if I needed help. The place is not super large, and everything is kinda cramped together, so you'll want to give yourself some time to walk around and take it all in. I'm excited to see that this place is right here in our North Texas backyard and look forward to making my costume experience awesome with the Dallas Vintage Shop.

Wow! I walk in at 1 pm after having trouble finding a parking place and …read more... Like a ton of bricks a wall of laughing, talking people hits me. Then I remember, this place has a cafe. I think 15 years ago it was a tearoom and dead on arrival. Not anymore. I peaked around the corner to see what's the deal Lucille and see about 50 people having lunch. Obviously, someone has engineered a successful restaurant in here I came here trying to find someone interested in buying things I have for sale. It is exactly the type place I needed to be. A nicely currated group of " booths" with ,No Junk! That's right, this place is not a waste of time but a legit source of vintage/ antique collectables. Including furniture, figurines, lamps, mink coats, silver items etc etc. I did infact find a dealer that made me an offer on my stuff and a couple of more to contact about my other stuff. It's hard to sell things these days as interest has wained in with the younger generation. High Street Antiques is perfectly positioned to capture the target audience for those remaining appreciative and desirus of " Old, Lovingly Used, Sentimental" stuff. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for...? Go!

It's always my happy place to see items you have decorated your home with go up in value. Today I purchased from 2 lovely booths that carried my Love Language...Blue & White, cause you see, that's my blood type. The first booth did not have a name, but it was 3 Ladies who were shushing up their booth, one name I did catch was Donna Day. The other booth was Ranch House Blooms. Both booths had lovely items of blue & white. Can't wait to purchase some plate hangers to hang my new flow blue plates which I cherish. Checkout my photo. Last time I was in here was about 15 years ago. I really saw almost nothing worth buying. However, everyone has different needs so, someone's a customer. Finally,I will admit,a few things out of the " jewelry" case in front were purchased for an art project.

I understand that charities have space limitations, and that sometimes there are certain items they can't handle. That's why smart donors. Look at the website before they waste their time driving over to that charity to make a donation of gently use business or personal goods. I checked before I came to confirm that Goodwill would accept television, printer, business equipment, and other items that I plan to donate. You can understand then, why I was irritated when the worker arrived after I waited for five minutes for her to come told me while standing in front of the sign that says they take televisions they don't accept TVs. When I told her never mind, I would take my thing somewhere else, she told me she'd be happy to take the other things. Like most contributors, it's a concession to take the time to donate things. I'm not interested in driving all over town wasting gas in time to find which of the contributions listed on their website that Goodwill or another charity doesn't feel like accepting today. I bring good things and I spend good valuable time to deliver them to the location. If I'm gonna have this type of trouble, I'm gonna join the million of other Americans, so no longer contribute. I'll just simply set out the trash and somebody drives by and pick it up. If not, I'll let the garbage have it. I won't drive around, begging charity that asks for donations to accept them when I bring them. Not surprisingly, I won't be coming back, but I will be sharing this review with other people so that they can consider whether they want to waste their support on an organization that may or may not value their donations, time, and other contributions.
