I frequent this Goodwill often! I love thrifting and finding things. Almost everything is super high quality, it is super organized. I cannot speak on the donation center, I have yet to use it. There is never a line when I am in the parking lot, though. read more

I shop here a lot, find it a challenge but once in a while I find something priced reasonably. Today I was trying to make my way past a worker (Diana) blocking the isle with a shopping cart she was unloading. I said excuse me, she didn't respond so I tried to squeeze by and smiled at her when she looked at me... she violently moved her cart and had a nasty look on her face. I said thank you and couldn't help myself added "a smile wouldn't hurt" she then said well it wouldn't her to say excuse me, and I replied "I did". I said "wow and you work here", she replied with "wow I with here" in a snotty crabby way. She was extremely rude and bitter. She needs to remember that she is in customer service and works retail. If she can't be courteous then find another job. It might help if they made a little more room between isles, maybe their workers and customers wouldn't get so crabby. read more

I buy books there a lot. They have 3 aisles like a library. Well stocked. Only bad news is the books cost more than any other used books, at nearby thrift stores. read more

I love this location. I never leave there empty handed. Only thing I would change is to clear out the excess.

Disorganized donation line. Line is backed up to the street and there are no attempts to prepare queued donors to ensure effective and quick processing. Very disappointing to see Goodwills associates and their management seemingly not care and not see any issue with their processing department. There is a 4 car stack up before the road access. So 4 vehicles come to a complete halt just to process one vehicle at the head of the line. Hopefully this review gets to them and they get the time of day to lay out multiple bins for multi-care donations and screening of items therein. After a 45 minute processing time Meridian GoodWill failed today and made no adaptation to external variables. In good faith I hope they reassess to ensure people confidently know in a pinch they can always rely on good will. read more

I don't live in this area but in the are this morning. I haven't been to a thrift store in a while. Really enjoy the hunt. Today I was looking for snow pants for my teenage sons. This store is not big but has a ton of great stuff. I was shocked to see how organized This store is. I was able to find what I was looking for pretty quickly thanks to their organization. The the BEST part...Cindy helped me checked out at the register. She was wonderful. She made conversation and made me feel like I had known her all my life. I'm literally writing this review moments after going into this store. I could have stood there and talked to her all day! She was delightful. I would totally shop here again. GREAT JOB CINDY! I purchased an item yesterday at goodwill in Gig Harbor- today I went to my local store to return that item. I did not realize yesterday that it was a $30 item. I'm so upset because I waited for a longer than usual time to be told that the tag looks altered. Its oddly tiny hole punched just like all the other ones I've ever seen. My recipes had gotten wet but this specific item was still listed. The ladies said "we wouldn't make $30.00 on that and the tag looks altered so we can't take it" I don't live in gig harbor so this is inconvenient and so upsetting to be treating like I'm trying to rip the organization off of $30! No where does any return policy say that I can't return from one goodwill to another. Do better. read more

Decided to give this store another shot 2 years later and it's even worse they had used scratched up Nintendo DS's for as much as Gamestop is charging a pair of ratted old Dansko's in the locked cabinet for 55$ and there was the same pair down the street but less ratty for 8$ at Deseret, I finally ended up paying near full price for a Betsey Johnson wallet so it was worth leaving the house and making the trip but really I feel truly sorry for these workers you can tell they are uncomfortable with pricing stuff so high but it's what they are told to do. As of now donations are closed at this location because they don't even have the staff which tells me they are not paying workers what they should be or something along those lines. Either way there was not anything particularly interesting here and nothing that warrants the prices still, so sad I really miss having fun and finding treasures at Goodwill. read more

I was in this nasty unhygienic goodwill store with my Service dog with the worst employee PAM that said she was a Assistant Manager girl please understand your Role ASSISTANT cause you acted like you was the manager Get it right and refuse my service dog cause he barked at me and said a service dog is not supposed to bark he barks when anyone gets close to me and even worse he was barking cause your store is filthy,nasty , and awful to the point you might catch some kind of disease in there just from them employees. GOODWILL HONEY can't you do better that's just all that me and my family donated that your getting paid from smh! I stopped to shop at the Goodwill today. I was standing in line to asked for the key to use the restroom. Two clerks were both rude to me, and one informed me that there were no public restrooms. This size of a store is required to have a restroom. I left without even looking at anything. I will never go into this store again, I was treated like I was a tramp. From what I saw while I was waiting patiently in line, the prices are very high. Next time I will go just a few blocks North to the Dessert Industries, the clerks are nice and the place is cleaner. read more

We have been going to this store once a week for 5 years. We do an errand day and do all our shopping for the week. We like to go just for fun and just see what's there. Sometimes we find fun stuff sometime we don't. Staff is excellent. Vary friendly and easy to talk too. However over the last two years the prices have gotten ridiculous. Ive started doing price checks on my phone. I'm finding stuff at or above retail store costs. Two dog tennis balls, goodwill $9.99. PetSmart $2.99. Used fabric storage bin, goodwill $5.99. Lowes new $7.23. Unused new Halloween space helmet $30.00 goodwill. Same helmet, Amazon $17.00. Flannel shirt, used, goodwill, $23.00. Tractor supply company. New flannel shirt on sale $16.00. I don't know who is setting the prices but goodwill is not the place to go if your on a tight budget. Your better off looking for sales at retail stores. Oh and don't listen to them about the color code stuff. If you wait for the color to come up on sale, the item is usually gone by then. Goodwill, with its donated inventory, has gotten greedy, and isn't the place to go during a recession or if you're in a tight budget. read more

I waited in line for 45 minutes and had ONE SMALL child's desk to donate...the attendant was rude and off putting telling me "No we don't accept furniture" so I responded saying "even furniture this small?" And she just said "yes we won't accept it" so rude, I will NEVER endorse this location. Piss poor customer service. read more

This is a nice goodwill will really nice staff. I was there Halloween and they were closing early which is nice for staff. They have a super nice collection of jackets and I found a Stephen King hardback. Also found some cool NEW skate style socks for my son for 2.99 each like you would buy for $10 to $20 at a skate shop. Yes they have some high prices but I am sure they have special days and discounts. Not a huge store but nice quality read more

went there yesterday to drop off donations around 5pm, and it was closed. no biggie, it was 5pm. today i called at 2:30 and asked to make sure they were open so i don't drive 7 miles out, they said yes we are open until 5. so i load everything up, get there at 3 and they are fucking closed. why the fuck did i call and ask and you told me yeah come on down and so i do and you're closed not even 30 minutes later?!?! so fucking disrespectful. why can't they set specific times for donations so you dont fuck up peoples day and waste their gas. read more

Goodwill has consistently raised their prices. I can go to Ross or Kohls and get new items for less than I can buy used items at Goodwill. Their CEO makes over a million dollars a year while their front line staff struggle to make ends meet. read more

When I entered this store, my eyes immediately widened and squinted. This is the brightest lit store I have been to compared to the ones I have shopped. I was only focused in finding a dress and they have a lot of selection in the clothing department. I looked around and they seem to have a lot of items I may need in the future. This is the first Goodwill store that I've been in that didn't smell like piss. Automatic THREE stars! This place has a nice selection, and is well maintained. Everything seems to be cleaned and well organized. Also, inexpensive. I've purchased several pair of new snow pants and gloves here, and will continue to check it out. The parking lot is in a busy shopping center and can be kind of a beast to get in and out of, but if you need to do business in there anyway, definitely stop in and browse the shelves. read more

It has always been painful dropping off anything at this store. They don't seem to understand, this is the Goodwill, not a store on Rodeo Drive. I dropped off two boxes of nice items, including a couple of pairs of Lululemon pants, some Pottery Barn items and other nice items. She asked me what was in the box and I explained to her an assortment of items. The lady told me to wait while she took a box knife and cut open the boxes, possibly cutting some of the donations. She didn't turn anything away, just wasted my time. Tonight, we drove to the one on River Road and donated our items there. We have never had an issue there. read more

Much better then the Bonney Lake or Federal Way locations. I wasn't able to find anything of note when I came in, but my shopping companion isn't as much of a snob as I am when it comes to brands, and she was able to find some really great stuff. Sadly, none of it fit, so neither of us walked out with anything. Store itself was pretty clean and organized. Small-sized store with a pretty nice selection of clothing and furniture. They are the same as local Goodwill stores, with one color of tag 50% off each day. Nice staff and decent pricing. Much better than the terrible Salvation Army store directly across the street. read more

I realize that thousands of folks have spent COVID-19 quarantine time cleaning closets, attics, storage units, garages, and every room in their apartment or home. Thus, places like Goodwill have been overwhelemed with donations. This store is an hour from where I reside and I tried to frop off 5 cartons of great stuff on a Tuesday but they are closed for donations on Tuesdays. Based on the signage posted, I returned on Thursday to drop off and lanes were closed at 3 pm (sign said open 1-5:30 pm). A very kind young man named Nate said they were understaffed and had received more than they could handle that day, but would reopen at 4:30 pm. I got in line shortly after and they indeed opened about 4:15 pm. They have two drop-off lanes but only one person was handing drop offs - one at a time - so it was a slow process. Note that I tried to give goods to St. Vincent dePaul but they were not accepting donations at Puyallup site. Also note that Habitat for Humanity in Puyallupo would NOT accept goods - they only want furniture and high-end dishes. read more

It's a smaller Goodwill but I call it the rich people Goodwill. I come from Olympia where the Goodwills don't have a DVD selection or name brand anything. I got myself a designer purse at this good will for under $10. I also found some hardback books I have been searching for. read more

One of the best Goodwills we have been to. Helpful, friendly staff. Prices now are better than in the past. We always stop in when in the South Hill area. They now have 50% off, $1.99 and even 99 cent days! Can't beat that. read more

The place was pretty depressing. Stinky, cluttered, dirty. I think I will stick to Value Villages, or else other Goodwill stores. The new items that are still in their original packages are being sold a FULL retail price, and the used items are priced at laughingly high prices. Someone needs to remind this Goodwill store that there are tons of Dollar Trees, etc., out there that sell the exact same stuff as what they are asking double and triple for. read more
