Women of Puyallup, beware of this man! He wouldn't have done it to me if I was a man. I was in the store today and was verbally accosted by him after he pushed his body between myself and my cart, and I said, "Really?" and he proceeded to curse me out. Several other women also witnessed it and were just as shocked as I was. I went to find a manager and was told, " Well, everyone's allowed in the store, so...." followed by blank looks. It was humiliating. I will never shop here again. As a woman, it is obviously not a safe place

Ok first of all. The smell in here was so strong. Smells of the room freshener on steroids or on an industrial scale. Now, moving on. The store is well maintained. There is good organization. A wide selection of items. The staff are friendly and courteous. It's busy here. Lots of people. I found a vintage lamp valued $100, that I purchased for $8. If they could really tone down the smell, I think they would enhance the shopper experience.

Age ranged: 18+…read more Everything is horrible now. 5am lights cut on. 6am everyone gets up. Be out by 7. No matter if there is weather, rain, snow, and hail you have to be outside. 7:30am comes. Breakfast. Now it's a hit or miss but it's food so I can't complain and thankful for the volunteers. But it's what happens after breakfast which I will now explain my big issue. The men's side has a day room. Harsh weather hits hard sometimes and all of 60+ aged or disabled (with paper proof) can be the only ones inside. Everyone else has to leave the premises. I was 18 when I went there which was a huge mistake. Standing outside in the weather for long periods of time. A 20 million dollar building being made but treats the residents like sh**. Not even that but the women's side, so small compared to the men's which they have access to the fridge, kitchen, more and more things. You would think that if you have 20 million dollars you would put 10 million into each for expanding both since more women are going and experiencing homelessness. But no. Not at all. They play favorites here so badly. It took my friend who is a man 2 months to get a place. Ive been there for over 3 months left after my 3 month mark and an additional 2 months to still not even get help when I had a good paying job. They go based off of favorites and who they like more to actually use the money that is being funneled into this organization. That's the thing, all of this money, all of these resources and not once do anyone see or ever hear about these resources. You could go to TRM right NOW and ask any of the residents and they will say the same. They don't do events, most times the food is cold or you could pick up grits with your thumb and index finger. If they were actually using their money to help their residents, why is it that I met women who been there for over 5 years who had been trying to leave that place? Then it started to click. This place doesn't want you to thrive but they keep you there. But anyways 5:00pm comes, dinner is served. 6:00 is here, some if not most of the men goes inside, women's side has to wait until 6:30. And if the bell get rung before 6:30 for whatever reason they make you wait outside as punishment for a few extra minutes. That's true and you can ask about it. 6:30 hits, go inside, shower, dress up, get ready to sleep. Then 8 hits. Lights out. If you do have a dog allergy then I feel heavily bad for you.

He patiently listens to each person that reaches out to him, no matter who they are, and he's swift at creating and executing effective solutions to challenging situations, whether they're individual or interpersonal conflicts, or problems clients may have with the Mission, itself. He genuinely cares about everyone that walks through the Mission doors, and you can tell just by looking at him that his position isn't just a job to him. He's a big asset to his organization.

Was made fun of and talked down on at checkout because I wasn't aware of all of the policies with the points program. Black woman who rang me up and older skinny man who acted like he was the manager? Both were very very mean to me and allowed two Karen's that were behind in me in line to say derogatory remarks as well. I felt ganged up on and attacked. I suffer from anxiety and this 100% gave me an anxiety attack when I got to my car. As I was leaving they were all laughing and talking crap about me. They were saying "How many houses have you built?" Something about how the money goes to that. The way the two employees allowed the other customers to talk crap along with how the employees were treating me was probably the worst experience I've ever had in a store. I will never ever ever go back there. I shouldn't have never been treated like I was trying to "add items" to the Amazon return bags. Many of those bags already have multiple items in them. You don't know what people are going through and trust me I'm going through some really bad stuff right now. Going thrifting is or was a way for me to forget the crap I'm going through for awhile but this experience threw me into a flare from all of the stress and belittling that I was subjected to today. Awful awful experience over not knowing the points policy and being accused of stuffing extra $2 items in the Amazon crap return bags.
