Clean store where when you enter, you're impressed because the wall displays have tshirts stacked according to color, and that's really cool. The kitchen area is nice and organized, with pot lids sorted neatly according to size and dishes bundled in sets. The back room is kind of a mish mosh of stuff and not as organized, but it's still a fun place to check out because you don't know what kind of a gem you'll find. I found a quality car mat for $4 that needs some scrubbing, but was in pretty good shape. Prices are way cheaper than you'd find at Goodwill or Value Village. read more

I was in the store today and was verbally accosted by him after he pushed his body between myself and my cart, and I said, "Really?" and he proceeded to curse me out. Several other women also witnessed it and were just as shocked as I was. I went to find a manager and was told, " Well, everyone's allowed in the store, so...." followed by blank looks. Ok first of all. The smell in here was so strong. Smells of the room freshener on steroids or on an industrial scale. Now, moving on. The store is well maintained. There is good organization. A wide selection of items. The staff are friendly and courteous. It's busy here. Lots of people. I found a vintage lamp valued $100, that I purchased for $8. If they could really tone down the smell, I think they would enhance the shopper experience. read more

Deseret is an alright place for thrifting. The clothing is very well organized by color, and care is taken with putting everything on the racks. It really makes it easy to look for something by size and color. The shoe section is also very nicely organized, and you rarely find shoes scattered all over the place, if ever! Some of the stuff is kinda dingy, but that's part of the thrifting, and there's quite a a bit of nice gems to be found. Kids clothing is pretty much sold between $2-4 and up, and it seems to be a set price without keeping brands in mind. Just be sure that what you buy can sometimes be cheaper on clearance at the actual store. I took off 2 stars because the store always has a faint scent of urine and stale cigarettes, and farts. Also, there's free parking infront, so be sure to stop in! read more

Large, well stocked, and clean. I mostly buy books there as they have a nice selection with 4 aisles. Their prices are a little high but not as high as the Goodwill nearby. They are super when donating. You pull into a garage area and they take your stuff out for you. It's the best. read more

This DI was opened in October. Came here for the first time last week. The store is well organized and clean. The back room is full of stuff for the yard, holiday items, bikes and other large items. Didn't see anything I couldn't live without. Prices were indicated at a high price for used items. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Aspen. Tons of free parking. read more

Good deals but it is a little on the pricy side. Lots of name brand items but they have colored tags off half sales like goodwill or value village. It is all set prices. It is a bit of a drive live in Auburn they are closed on Sundays. It is located in a huge , massive parking on that shares it with a church. Donations are around the back they take one car at a time it is next door to round table pizza. Store is clean smells like a thrift store dirty clothes . The bathrooms are nice and clean staff is a hit or miss usually not friendly the cashiers checking you out are friendly hit or miss once again. They play good music to shop to. read more

I went there to shop and they just brought out a new cart for the collectibles case. So before all items were in the case I asked to see something so Bradly said to put it in the case and then let her see it, referring to me because I asked to see it. I get the item and am looking at it and all of a sudden another lady said she had asked first which I didn't know about. So they took the item from me after they gave it to me and Brad said I will put it in back and bring it out later since there is a discrepancy. Then the next thing he tells the worker to give it the item to the other lady instead. No apology or anything for taking it from me and giving it to someone else. read more

I've been shopping the Puyallup store since it opened. The prices are mostly half of the Goodwill. The store us clean and does NOT smell, as someone said. The store is well organized and the workers are ALWAYS the most polite & helpful. And prices have gone up this past year, but still bargains. read more

The cashiers are SO rude here it's insane. Isn't this supposed to be a Christian ran business? I buy books from here all the time for my free little library and I'm a huge reader, I had 3 $2 books and 9 -$1 books and I misheard the cashier say my total was $39 because she has a strong accent so I did the math in my head and questioned the total and she made me feel horrible and she was SO irritated with me and I told her I wasn't trying to be rude, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being charged $20 extra dollars than what I owed and she basically threw the receipt at me, so so rude and uncalled for. This place needs better customer service because they have awesome prices and it always smells good but your employees are making it a 1 star. read more

Every time I donate the young men look so dejected. Today I found out why. The "older" man who I assume is in charge comes out and starts yelling at them that "they are lazy and what are they doing just standing there!!" He did not see me since carts were blocking his view. Truly dissapointing experience. This used to be a good place to shop. I was there recently and i had my cart, I sensed that I was in the way and I have been yelled at my whole childhood for small things, so I panicked interally a bit- I wasn't truly assessing the situation because of that, and so I tried to go forward, but apparently that's where one of the guys in the blue polo and lanyards was trying to get through (a manager I guess?) they were very rude and said "mam, mam" in a rude tone. I almost cried and its hard to get me to do that, it was pretty harshly said. I would have been fine if he said something like "mam, we're trying to get through, please move" even if they had a very rude tone, because at least you know they're trying, I didn't feel any of this while there. Anyway, that was the last straw. I guess I burried the lead here because for a while I had been not loving the service. Before it was great, but its slowly been decaying. They recently hired people who clearly have a hard time following american english, which is fine if you are not a native english speaker or immigrant or anything but if it interferes with communication when I'm checking out, thats a problem. It wasn't a huge deal to me at the time, and I don't blame the lady (she was sweet) but if management can't make good decisions on where to put certain people to work or who to hire, then they aren't good. Sad. I will not be shopping here again. This used to be the best place to shop. read more

Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. Visited this location and claimed 2 video games from the collectable case and was written up my tickets for both games, when I went to pay I noticed the games were missing from the case. I questioned where they were because you're not supposed to leave with the product until AFTER you pay and present the ticket, however an employee allowed another consumer to leave with the games although they were written up under my name. I still can't understand how this mistake is even made! On top of that the store did absolutely NOTHING to resolve the issue beside an apology. Customer service is NOT a priority, you would think that they would offer any item within the collectable case for the same cost of the games to make the situation right however management never offered anything besides stating that they will follow up with the employee and training which does absolutely nothing for the consumer that lost out, the company did not take any kind of responsibility and ownership in this situation. This is a broken policy that needs to change. Policy needs to change with collectible goods, info taken needs to include consumer phone number and photo ID to complete transactions. I don't wish on the employee to be fired however it's completely ridiculous of this careless mistake. If you do purchase an item from the collectable case, pay for it immediately then continue to shop for any other items you may want. read more
