The racks being ordered by color and not size is frustrating, but is a red white and blue thing as a company and not a specific flaw to this store. My biggest problem is definitely the staff, i should not be anxious to check out because I'm worried I'll get yelled at.

The rows and aisles go back far and all of the shelves and floors are covered with merchandise. There are some spots where the walking is tight, but it's mostly easy to navigate around. They have a wide variety of items from marbles, to furniture, bottles, clocks, and purses. I think most collectors or individuals just interested in antiques would find a few things to pique their interest here. The staff were friendly and greeted us upon entry and exit. They had a few bathrooms scattered around with a unisex one right when you walk in. The bathroom was clean-ish and had soap and paper towels. The prices seemed fair, in most cases. I saw an identical purse here for $40 that was $50 at another location down the road.

There were lots of clothes I wanted to try on in the women's section. There were also lots of children's and men's clothes. They had a whole section for Pittsburgh sports teams! There is one dressing room in the back that I used to try stuff on. The woman that worked there was so nice! I paid with a credit card up front. Parking is on the street, but it is pay to park.

Let me describe my experience as a first timer. You gain entry via ringing a doorbell. Ok. I can do that. Upon being buzzed in, I enter. The only one working there is in the very back of the store. No greeting. Note I am the only customer. I look around and walk further into the store and finally I initiate a greeting to which they respond. I look around. Prices for pieces I browse tend to be between 20 and 24 dollars, fair enough for consignment stores. Quality seems good. There are an assortment of women's clothing and shoes and jewelry. I just don't see anything this particular trip to purchase. Fair enough. As I prepare to leave I thank the worker and leave. The main thing I want to point out and why 3 stars vs. more is the lack of warmth from staff. Not Customer Service friendly, not inviting. I initiated any and all greetings. This worker made no attempt to make me feel welcome or even try to make visual contact, much less get a customer who would return. This ain't the only consignment shop in Pittsburgh.. .

Let me start off by giving credit where credit is due. Shopping here is a positive experience... the store is quaint, smells pleasant (if you know you know), and has a wide array of items and selections. Butttt... Consigning here is frustrating, to say the least. The hoops you must jump through and the dates you must clock to finally get your commission check is outrageous. First, YOU must keep track online of what sells. Next, once YOU notice a sale, YOU must call in to "request" your commission of your item. Then, you must WAIT 90 days. After that 90 days, nope, you still don't get it yet, you must call in, again, to "re-request" your commission check. Next, almost there, you must receive a call back from the owner or manager to verify it and let them know you will be in that day or so to pick up your check. THEN, and only then, you may drive in to collect your check. By now, I'm mentally and physically exhausted... So, a great little shop but the policy on consigning needs a little tweaking! *** EDIT...... I have since dropped my 2 star to a 1 star because the owner got a little snarky and dishonest when commenting on my review... I did call on October 14, 2025, and I did bring an LV KeepAll in to potentially sell but then from there on you are not being 100% honest... At that October in store visit I was told to call about my check in mid January to get a specific date. When I called on January 6th, I was told then that the date was January 22nd but to call in a day before.. (like for what reason exactly? It's so redundant!) So, I called today on the 20th and was told verbatim by Kristina/Christina (sp?) that "The owner/manager would be calling me tomorrow on January 21st to verify my request and make sure that she can cut the check"!! It's at that point that I got frustrated and told her that it was at no fault of hers but that this checking, calling, and recalling policy just seems too much and is really annoying. She still insisted that the owner/manager still had to call me and I finally said "fine, whatever" and we ended the call. So it's not "deja vue" at all; I followed everything that I was told to do... I was told to call two different times and then that I'd get a call back to confirm. And that's what I did. But the cherry on top is that I said pretty much all nice things about shopping her store but in a forthright and semilighthearted way said that maybe the policy needed tweaking and she got so defensive and snarky and basically, instead of tweaking her policy, tweaked the truth... UPDATE TO THE CATTY OWNER.. Not hiding just haven't posted a review since 2012 so I added my full name and middle initial and a picture, you really got me!! But it's ok, dox me lol I don't care.. you're petty and insecure. Also I'm banned before I can pick up my check?! Are you a liar and a thief...?! I hope people know that's really what your contract is, just like your other 1 star review suggests, just a contract of mishmash so you can keep items and commissions!! They have a massive selection from clothes to ornaments and decor pieces, glassware, signs, and more. The staff were not overbearing, but friendly and helpful if you need it. I think some of the prices were high while others were more than fair for the uniqueness of the item. This is certainly a place worth browsing through at least once! I'm sure you could visit 10 times and still not see everything.
