Hi all Nice Store location, just mins from SHADY MAPLE. Nice men's and ladies clothing selection, main floor. Hard Goods (downstairs). Ample size parking lot enough for 38 vehicles. Men's and ladies co-ed bathroom, clean. Cashiers both downstairs and upstairs. Reasonable prices, but don't expect hard to find items priced lower than the Internet. All these thrift stores are up on that game. To me a little ridiculous if you ask me. I mean these items are donated, right? LOL I found a $20 to 30 dollar Starbucks Tumbler $2.99. Imagine my surprise when in the middle of cornfield central I saw signs leading to a Goodwill. I brake for bargains! After pulling over and checking Yelp reviews to see if it was geared towards "plain" folk (it's not) I immediately made a U turn. The building is small and in a rather unexpected location beside a farmhouse and surrounded by farmland. I drove past it once before I finally found it. Fortunately it was right after opening as when I left an hour later the small lot was so packed people were waiting to get in your spot. Where they lack in size they make up for in quality. Upstairs is jewelry, clothing and shoes for men, woman, and children. Since Halloween is around the corner they also had a good assortment of costumes out. Prices were consistent with other area Goodwill's, with the shoes being in the $12.97 range. I don't know why overpricing used shoes seems to be the norm for Goodwill's as of late but it seems to be standard. While their shoes selection was for the most part used, they were in exceptional condition, but still $12.97 for used shoes it a bit much. The clothing was in excellent condition and my purchases were in the $4 range each piece. The cashier was very friendly and chatty. I swear she had a full blown conversation with every customer she encountered, but took the hint when you wanted to be left alone to shop. I did find several nice pieces of attire, including three brand new bras with tags still attached for $4. Only to discover at home that I'd been had, as new they were only $3.98! I was thankful I read the reviews beforehand as there was mention of bins and more inventory in the basement. Otherwise I wouldn't have known as the signage is not prominent. Downstairs is bins of clothing, discounted to .97 each. I did rummage thru several of the bins and encountered great stuff but nothing my size. Also housed in the basement is the household, glassware, books, purses, toys, lamps, and new assorted merchandise. Organization was standard, by department, than color and the area was a little tight. While the upstairs was relatively empty, the downstairs was bustling with activity. It was hard to maneuver the cart with so many shoppers present. The folks down there meant business, with carts piled high, some even had two, and only one lonely (and hacking - I mean like everywhere without so much as an attempt to cover her mouth) cashier. I put my goods back for fear of catching whatever THAT was and because I knew I'd be in line at least another 30 minutes. TIPS: Do check out the downstairs and be prepared to root thru bins if shopping for bargain clothing. Check their signs for current loyalty offers and don't forget to present your card. Come early, the lot is undersized and it fills it quickly. Do pay for your purchases upstairs before heading down, it's a requirement. If you see something on display with no tag do inquire. I missed out on a great piece of black lace used for display only because I assumed it wasn't for sale. Minutes later another shopper who saw me checking it out bought it for $2. read more

I used to frequent this store because out of all the Goodwill stores around us, this one still had reasonable prices. However, Greed spreads and I'm sure they need to adhere to the same rules as other Greedwills. Where I useed to be able to get dress shoes between $4-7, now they are asking 13-24.99? Really? You do remember that these items are used? As for their "discount" bins in the basement, they have doubled their prices there also. Most items are now selling for double--triple of what they used to charge. Again, for used items. Do you research, you can find most items are cheaper in an actual store and it will be brand new. read more

If you're looking for the goodwill furthest away from civilization, you've found it. When I saw the full parking lot, I knew I was in the right place at the right time. Sure enough I managed to score a lovely soft leather clutch with 2 indian maidens engraved into the side. Unique and interesting at the same time. There was no price on it, so I headed to the register hoping I had enough cash on me to cover it. When the girl rang it up though, I was pleasantly surprised. The damage to my purse was a mere $2.09. The star off was because they've just remodeled and moved their books,etc downstairs and it was too crowded down there to maneuver. I guess the obvious joke would be to say that a stop here is necessary before a trip to the nearby Temple of Eating (aka Shady Maple for those of you that live on Mars) as whatever you're wearing when you start likely won't fit when you leave. In all seriousness, there is nothing wrong with shopping at a Goodwill but personally I can't be bothered with it as at least the one that is nearest to where I live is normally a filthy and disorganized mess. This GW compared to most is very small and maybe that has something to do with it being OK or maybe it's because the three people who were working all seemed to actually care about keeping the place organized but again, things were certainly OK. Typical looking GW upstairs and there is a basement with housewares and more deeply discounted clearance items but when the old lady went downstairs I stayed upstairs waiting until the time when I would be liberated from shopping hell. She spent around thirty bucks on some things and I suppose it was a good value for what was bought. The one area that wasn't as good as other GW locations I've been forced to go to is the pricing system. Our local GW runs on a system of color coded dots where each dot corresponds to a price. Here, everything is suppose to be priced but somehow the old lady found two things without a price tag and at the register the person working seemed to "make up" a price on the spot. Was it the right price? Was it a real price? I'll never know. If you like to hunt/sift/sort thru things when you shop in a setting where there is always seemingly a ton of people all around you then coming here will be like manna from heaven. They're open 9-9 Monday to Saturday and like most things in the local area, they're closed on Sunday. read more

Terrible customer service. They made me leave the store for not wearing a mask and I can't wear one for health reasons. Not going back!!

I purchased about $40 worth of products from this location. One of them was missing the critical parts that let it function. Another one, the battery's leaked all over the device. When I tried to return it, the manager Laura, gave me attitude. The prices lately are way over what they should be and they sell broken products and unusable products for top dollar. read more

This is my favorite Goodwill. It's far from me so I don't get here often but when I do I always find something. In my most recent trip I spent $80. I got some really great items. One of them being an unopened Spider-Man toy for son, which I'm saving for Christmas. I also found really nice name brand clothes for the entire family. The store itself was fairly clean. The basement had toys; housewares, books and clearance clothes. I will make it a priority to get here a little more often. read more

This Goodwill is the best one I've been to yet. I'm in my 20's and I found so many new additions to my waredrobe! I picked up 10 pairs of slacks for the office, shorts (some pants with the original store tags still on them) all for $4 per pant. It's great because the store is very organized, it smells very clean and they have another level of discounted clothing in bins in the basement that you have the option of digging through for less than $1 an item. It's far and in the middle of nowhere but in my opinion definitely worth the trip. read more
