Recently I took a vacation day and was camping in the area and decided to check them out. Much to my surprise they have a private parking lot in the back. From the back entry there was a porch that had some free items that didn't meet their resale requirements. Inside was a vestibule with $1 clothing that had minor blemishes on. On the tags that I took the time to look at it was written what was wrong which I thought was nice. The deal of the day was ladies tops which were half off. Inside the shop I was greeted by two older ladies sitting at chairs chatting. The overall store is about the size of an efficiency apartment and is a very narrow space. The organization was done well and knick knacks were proudly displayed. There were probably about 8 customers in the tiny space, plus myself and the two clerks which felt like a crowd in such a narrow space. It was impossible to social distance. Ladies clothing and knick knacks dominated the store Children's clothing, toys, and housewares were very limited. While browsing the racks I did find several tops, all half off, as well as some jeans for $3. Prices were very reasonable. The dressing room is part of the bathroom, which seemed to also be a kitchen as it had a microwave in it, and also a toothbrush at the sink. Overall with the ladies sitting and talking at the entrance, to the personal items in the bathroom it felt like I was in someone's house. At that point I didn't know if this was a charity room thrift store, or just someone selling used, donated items for profit. However at the register they did have a sign showing how much money the store has donated to various charities over the years and it was impressive. When I told the cashier I can't believe there wasn't any Yelp reviews they had no idea what Yelp was! Probably not a regular stop for me during COVID due to the distancing aspect but worth checking out if you're not concerned.

This is a thrift shop but does not carry furniture or large items. Most of the store is women's clothing in all sizes from Petite to Plus. There are small children's and men's clothing areas. There are also children's toys, books, purses, jewelry, shoes and some accessories. There are also several small areas with linens, collectibles, small appliances and kitchen wares. One negative is a Keurig I purchased with a tag that it works, but it didn't. It turned on but that was it. I imagine they checked it came on and assumed someone would not donate a non working item. But I paid $15 and consider it a donation to their charitable contributions. OK so the clothes are pretty much exclusively in very good condition or new. They do mark up designer brands and new items with tags. I paid $25 for a Michael Kors dress with tags, and $8 for a new child's outfit. They have easily accessed dressing rooms and a speedy check out process. They offer a frequent buyer card with $10 off when filled. The store is crowded but very well organized. Clothes are hung by type, size and color. So if I am looking for a white long sleeved shirt size small, they are all hung in one place. One positive/negative is their amazing store window displays. They decorate the windows seasonally with the best of what is donated. It is incredibly enticing to see all the wonderful items that might be available inside. The catch is that NOTHING in the window is available for purchase until after the season is over. The Christmas windows items will be available January 9th at 10 am with the line forming early. So if something you have been wanting appears in that window display you will need to be on hand at a very specific date and time, like an estate sale or auction. Because I don't even live in the area, I pretty much don't even look at the windows since I can't buy anything there. I see from other reviews the store windows cause lots of angst for shoppers and for staff apparently. But since I know the deal I just accept it. One review from 2019 talks about a children's play area. I have been shopping here 10 years at least, and there is no children's play area. There is an area of toys for sale. When I was in last week 3 small children were tearing up the toys in there and screaming into a Frozen karaoke machine. When they put it down for a minute I scooped it up and bought it for my granddaughter. Yes, it is an alcove but every toy, book and game is priced so obviously for sale. Who in the world leaves a 2 and 4 year old unsupervised in a thrift shop toy sales area? So consider that if you read it below and wondered about it.

Your pricing on certain items is absolutely insane! Like you're truly just out of your mind and should probably be heavily medicated. Out here acting like it's a premium antique store in the richest of neighborhoods instead of the THRIFT store that it's supposed to be. $150 for some glass coasters. $250 for an old stove. $500 for a Barbie house!?! These are all USED items that are GIVEN to you, a THRIFT store for FREE! And I understand there are operating costs of running the stores, but there's also a line that you're clearly way too comfortable crossing when it comes to the prices you put in front of every day thrift shoppers. During my visit I heard literally five customers make a remark about the insane prices you're slapping people in the face with. Read the damn room! This store is absolutely massive. And the carts? Chef's kiss. Smooth, solid, high-quality carts that roll like butter. Vans were around $14.99, which isn't great but also not the worst I've seen lately. Home goods weren't huge, but the section was decent and worth a look. My transaction was for a straight buy out and pennies on the dollar was paid out with what I considered too much paperwork for the merger amount I received. Honestly for a buyout you would do better having a yard sale. Some of my items were purchased for .60 cents. I don't know anything about their consignment terms which is more common and what they prefer but it would be worth looking into if your stuff is immaculate. So while I won't return for a buyout, and probably won't return to shop for everyday wear, I would come shop for any special occasion or high fashion needs.
