Man oh man! Dad died. We had tons of his stuff to donate. Holy hell is the staff that takes donations rude. 1st time was some totally devoid of a personality kid. Maybe 18-22? All the things we brought were on hangers. I said, 'hey you may wanna get one of those racks it'll go quicker.' Kid: grunt. No answer I tried to help him but he wanted no part of it. 5-6 items on hangers easy to grab. He dropped one as I helped him. Hmm ok pick up & grab 4-5 more items? Nope. This Einstein picked up ONE then & walked it back in. Totally soulless. I've worked retail & charity for 30 years. I know to say 'thanks' or even would go so far to say 'needy folks will enjoy these items.' Nope. Also the asshat with the idiotic chin hair. 'Hi. How are you doing?' It's very rare that I walk out of a thrift store without buying something but here I did. Even hubby was shocked! While in the area recently I looked up thrift stores in the area and hit up a few. Being a Goodwill in what I thought was a pretty upscale area I expected the donations to be above average and the store to be nice and clean. It's location is in a run down shopping center with large vacant store fronts. I wouldn't come here at night as I imagine it would be very dark and intimidating. Inside the store you are immediately greeted by an open area housing all the large items that wouldn't fit on shelves. Bikes, misc furniture pieces, plastic kiddie pools are all examples of what you'll find in this area. However they're not in rows but more or less just dumped in place, complete with dust walls and dirt in between. The housewares dept was organized by color and had some hideous things - just take a look at that one painting I posted a picture of. Who would want that hanging in their house? Clothing racks were tightly crammed together and it was impossible to pass if someone else was in the isle. Although separated by size and item they were poorly sorted and none of the sizes matched the signage. I was looking for a raincoat and was surprised that even in August with fall merchandise on display they didn't have any jackets - lightweight, rain, or otherwise. They also lacked a sleepwear and undergarment selection. Shoes were on top of the racks with no real consideration to organization. In the men's department you'd find ladies shoes, as well as kids. I did see several pairs new with tags for $9.99 but most were $7.47 Come in prepared with your own cart wipe as they didn't have any nor hand sanitizer and were not taking measures to clean or separate them. read more

They have beautiful merchandise. However their staff is rude and not helpful at all. The waitstaff checkout take forever and the people working there could care less about your time. You will find some awesome things though, it's worth it to stop in! read more

Just a *meh* thrift store haha, it obviously depends on what your style is and what you're looking for. But here I mainly find target, and basic clothes. Not the best place to find vintage or eclectic styles. Mainly modern stuff that moms donate haha. So much Ann Taylor, Chico's, Christopher and banks, etc. The house wear section has some cool stuff though! They also relocated to a slightly bigger building on the other side of the shopping center. Manager is terrible.I came here for 20 yrs .there is a woman that comes there that does not work there that starts taking items off of shelves moving them to other shelves and throwing items out. she is disruptive with employees and customers.many people have reported her and manager does nothing.store looks terrible.many of us loved to shop there.used to be a really great place to shop.sadly no more. read more

Only goodwill I've ever walked out of without purchasing one. Darn. Thing. Hardly any hood high end brands especially if you are a reseller. Nothing but banana republic, j crew and old navy --all over priced I might add, without a tag sale in site for color day. Newsflash, goodwill : I know we just had a royal wedding but as far as I can tell, the queen of England isn't due for a visit to the goodwill ...anytime soon. Was able to remove some goods (clothes & a chest) from the house - a de-cluttering victory... huzzah! Hopefully allow these goods to be restored, resold, and reused. This creates a benefit for anyone who might want (or need) the items that I no longer have a use for. It also is a far superior alternative to throwing (potentially useful) items away and unnecessarily clogging up a landfill. What a win-win-win-win-win scenario. It was extremely simple to swing around to the right side of the building, pull the car up to the drop-off site, unload, and drive on home. Two minutes after pulling up, I was back on the road... with a tax-deduction form to boot! To quote the great John "Hannibal" Smith, "I love it when a plan comes together." To me, the tax deduction was just an added bonus. But if you'd like to add that bonus for yourself, I would suggest reviewing the following tips (Disclaimer: If you have any questions, please consult with your accountant - as I am not offering, nor am I qualified to offer, tax advice.): Tip -1: To get some idea on how one might estimate the value of a donation, go online and search for: "Valuation Guide for Goodwill Donors." This is one of my least favorite Goodwill stores. Every time I've been there it's always a mess, and overcrowded. I've actually left mid purchase and put everything back because check out took over 25 minutes. Usually there is only one cashier while the other workers are stocking shelves. Which would be fine, if they didn't have shopping carts! I had to wait behind a woman with TWO full carts... and I'm a very patient person, but it was terrible. They don't get many new CD's, which is usually why I stop in. But their holiday selections are entertaining... usually salvage from the local Target stores. read more

A small thrift store with an above-average selection. I only came here once, so I can't say much about turnover. However, from the other reviewer and the recommendation of one of my friends, I have heard that this place has very high turnover, which would be a really big plus in my book. I agree with the other reviewer that this place is weak on Men's dress clothing, and, I would add, also on pants. However, it has an amazing tie selection. The rest of the store is really hit-or-miss...a bit more random than a typical thrift store. Pricing seemed a bit inconsistent, it was low across the board and I'd say 70-80% of the items were priced very low, but there were a handful of items that I thought were fairly overpriced. Overall though, I found more deals than I would expect for a place of such a small size. Very nice employees. This place is really worth checking out. read more

Compared to the Goodwill in Phoenixville, this location has a relatively small inventory. Like other Goodwells your eyes will probably burn and your nose will feel funny while shopping, but that's just part of the Goodwill experience. I haven't to stay longer at this goodwill because of the terrible rainstorm, and boy, am I glad that I did. I found the Dolce and Gabbana dress for $24, 2 pairs of new with tags designer jeans in my size from last season, and a pair of cowboy boots which at retail sell in the hundreds. Talk about needle in a haystack. This location lacks a good handbag selection as well as shoes and other accessories. They also have a limited supply of houseware items. On the other hand, they did have far more namebrand jewelry which is kept in the case at the register I appreciate their dressing room policy letting you take in as much as you can. There's nothing worse than spending an hour and a store and picking out about 20 items and having to go through and try on six at a time. The staff at this location were also very helpful. I've been shopping at Goodwill for quite some time and even have a loyalty card, however I had never heard about the online retail store. The woman who rang me out also explained the return policy which I was not aware... You have 7 days to retune with tags still attached for refund! read more

This is a pretty small thrift store as they go, but they are strong on nice clothes for women, particularly business casual or dressier. The mens' department is weak on dressy clothes but strong on T-shirts and casual shirts in good condition. The housewares department runs hot and cold. I've gotten some good ceramics there, but you have to know what you're looking for and sometimes the prices are not in line with the value of the item (I'm talking ceramics now). I did score a set of 4 Corningware ramekins for less than $4. Target sells 2 for $7.50. They key here is to go often and on different days. If you go on Saturday, go before 11AM or it's a zoo and it's already picked over. Shout out to the staff here though. I left my ATM/charge plate at the register after making a purchase and they contacted my bank immediately. So thank you to the Goodwill Exton folks for being very cool and honest with my card. read more

I think that if you are looking for homegoods such as dining plates, picture frames, lamps etc. This is a good location. I saw several things of interest in that area when I visited. As for the clothing? I probably wouldn't bother. read more

Goodwill should be a place to treasure hunt and enjoy yourself but that's not the case here. The employees restocking clothes are constantly pushing you out of the way through the narrow aisles while your trying to shop. They are way overpriced for their items. $6.50 for a shirt or ragged, outdated pair of jeans. Or a CD with no movie inside....don't forget most of the stuff we're buying is someone else's trash. Then we have the 20 minute lines to wait in. Not enough employees at registers AND they should all be taught how to do a return. Finally the one woman who can do returns should not be yelling at the register at people....if you can't be nice then maybe you can't handle the job. After all, it's the patrons that keep your paychecks coming. Maybe it's time for new staff. read more

The store is surprisingly small as everyone has said but it is packed full of items. We only had a short time to browse through due to arriving just before closing. The staff was very friendly and the store was clean. We did not find much in clothing department - we were in search of particular items. My daughter did find a dress that she has been longing for since visiting White House Black Market. How much would you pay for your child's happiness? (i only paid 5$- bargain) I found a number of fascinating mirrors and several stylish handbags! All in all we were there for roughly 30 minutes and we came out with loads of items. I know there selection is limited to what they receive but my daughter and I were very happy with our visit. Lots of items you may need to walk through a few times to see everything. read more

I love this place. I have been coming here since college and it is great for amazing finds on the cheap. Here's a little tip: I would not recommend shopping here any later than 1 hour before closing. They turn the music off 40-30 minutes before they close, and yell out that they are closing every 5 minutes. It gets pretty old, when it is 30 minutes before they close, you were planning on being rung up in a few minutes, and you are there with a store full of customers. There are a couple of slightly edgy employees as well, but the super nice ones definitely make up for it. I still adore this goodwill, and I love the recent renovations they have made. This review is for donations only, I have not shopped here. I tried to donate a desk chair that someone moving out had left on my property. The vinyl chair was in good usable condition, no rips, rolling base and casters and everything intact and working. It only had a slightly loose back and a faint pink paint or nail polish smear on the black seat about 3 inch by 1/2 inch which did not affect the usability of the chair. Because it was still in relatively good shape, I tried to donate it here but was told they would not take it due to (a) the faint paint stain and (b) the slightly loose back. My impression was that if it wasn't in like-new condition they don't want it. Took the chair home and re-purposed it with 5 minutes and a large screwdriver. I will not be donating anything in the future to this Goodwill - obviously being in a wealthy area the Goodwills around here are way pickier than what I was used to living in a less upscale area and are not interested in anything that might require even 5 minutes of repair time. I will say the staff are nice and polite so I gave an extra star for that. read more

First time being here and was shocked how small it is compared to other goodwill's and thrift shops. They have a very small section for furniture in the front which could be a hit-or-miss. The book and DVD/VHS section was nice (me and my husband collection classical kid movies and shows on VHS if we think they will never be available for DVD) which is a plus in my book since I buy books faster than I can read them and love venturing back in my childhood. I agree that the houseware can be picked over at times, but what do you expect? I still found a decent napkin holder for $2.47. The men department is weak. Took me less than 5 minutes to look at it all. I didn't get a chance to fully look at the women's department (mainly because my hands were full and my husband was getting restless), but since I live not too far from it, I'll visit again in 3 weeks (I like to use a schedule to give them time to change over and gather more cash).
