I've been to many Goodwill stores from Hawaii to Boston and none are as organized and big like this one. They had great friendly staff and Tammy went out of her way to make sure we found what we were looking for at the Manchester New Hampshire Goodwill store. There was plenty of parking and great hours. Most days are 9am to 6pm. They have a great variety of product for great value. I'll be back. I hope you find time to visit, because a dollar saved is a dollar earned. read more

The prices are insane now! What are they thinking asking $5 for used, old stained, kid's clothing? Women's clothing is also overpriced with a used blouse costing at least $7. I went to buy extra dishes for Thanksgiving but each plate or bowl, no matter its condition, was $3. I found out that day, Hobby Lobby has the SAME PRICES for NEW items! A set of four beautiful bowls, $12. Tried Home Goods and again, $12 for four plates. We can do better at any other store, even non clearance items, and they are new. Really Not-so-goodwill, you can do better. And honestly, what are you doing with all the money from customers who "round up". Jeeesh do you get to keep the interest you make on all that money. I've been shopping here for many years and like any thrift store, sometimes you hit a nice haul and sometimes you walk out empty handed. It's all part of the thrill of the hunt. The store is nicely organized and clean. Prices have been creeping up and currently used women's tops start at $6 which seems high for what is essentially yard sale shopping. Huge selection, though. The housewares section is always fun but pricing is not entirely based on anything in reality. Today for example, there were numerous Pyrex pie plates, just your standard glass pyrex pie dish. These sell on the Pyrex website for $7.00 and at Target for $5.49. However, here at the Goodwill most of them were priced at TEN DOLLARS and one was marked at $5. You really need to have a basic understanding of the price and value of things before you shop here or you could really get ripped off. Up until a few years ago I had really great luck with finding "treasures" but then they started holding back anything good for the Goodwill eBay auction site. You will no longer find vintage pyrex or nice hobnail glass on the sales floor. These used to be very commonly found in the store. Make your dollar go further by getting the Club Goodwill discount card if you shop regularly. The card is now up to $15/year and it used to be $10 not too long ago with a bigger discount. Also take note of the color of the week which gives you 50% off the featured color tag. read more

I realize it's a charitable foundation but with the economy as it is lots of people shop here. It's charitable to make it possible for people to actually shop. They have the absolutel worst customer service. There can be 20 people in line and one cashier will be working while the other one rearranges the store. It's madness. The Hooksett location is the total opposite. The minute 4-5 people are waiting they add cashiers! Goodwill Manchester shud do what savers does and get self checkout. I believe the manager in Manchester is a woman because she seems to tell the other employees what to do. She very reluctantly started cashing people out when it was closing time and the line was circling around to the back of the store!! read more

Absolutely horrendous experience while attempting to donate to this place. Family owns a contracting business, which, often times as is the nature, they come across some really good stuff that we simply don't want to hold onto--as was the case with this particular drop off. While attempting to drop off two bags worth of clothes, misc. toys today probably worth 100s of $$ I was scolded for not being "in line." Sorry, I am a busy person (not looking for special treatment) but can't simply wait in line indefinitely when I have other errands to run while other people are chit chat their day away in line because they seem like to have the whole day to do this? In any case, I did remain in line outside of my vehicle after being threatened for littering if I were to abandon the above drop off---only to have said bags moved... ready? 5ft. away into a blue basket, 30-60 seconds after said threat and scold by a young man with dyed blond hair, who was hell bent on antagonizing me. Nice going! It seems like HE was doing me some great great favor mind you, and God forbid one should have other things to do vs. wanting to wait in line hell at this place. Horrible horrible attitude. It seems like, this could have been easily accommodated and avoided with just a little bit of "Goodwill" from this particular individual. But shame on me for even coming here? Next time, I am sure I can find Savers, or another place that would greatly benefit from the contents of what I donate. read more

Used Dollar Store items priced at $2-$4! Heard employees talking about holding 'good stuff' to buy later 'never having it hit the floors'. Needed price check for 2 items, management didn't bother to see what they were & quoted ridiculous price over radio. read more

If it wasn't for Goodwill where would you go to get your costumes for Halloween? This store reminded me of my hometown store which was once a Circuit city (when you become old and your kids ask you, "what was a Circuit city?", what will you say?). Large selection of gently used clothes, in mostly good condition. But can't say much for the styles. I needed to find a brown tie for a my costume. Portland seemed to have a drought, I walk into the goodwill after attending my clients site and Boom! A rack of brown ties for $1.99. This goodwill even had a rack of costumes as well for the last minute folk. Tons of clothes for ladies, at least 3/4 of the store was women's clothing. read more

I've been in and out of this Goodwill for quite a while and have bought a number of items here. The selection is ok, but the pricing is not always consistent. For instance, we have seen hardcover Twilight books going for $5.00. Honestly, I have seen used book stores selling them for lower prices. I think if the store would want to move more items they should be consistent and price them like other Goodwills have done in the state that across the board paperbacks being $1 and hardcover $2 unless they are "coffee table books" or antique. The selection of clothes is nice and housewares is ok. read more

Not bad, though it can't compare to the Goodwill on Comm Ave in Boston. That's my measuring stick. They have a small lawn/garden/home section with pre-packaged products...not sure how that fits in? Organized and mostly clean. I found a $3 filing cabinet which was exactly what I was looking for. Beginner's luck; next round I walked out empty-handed. read more

This is a new store--just opened in the past year. Very clean with a large selection. Employees are very friendly and helpful and seem to really enjoy their jobs. The books are well organized and the clothing selection is one of the nicest of any thrift stores I've been to. An added bonus...clean bathrooms! read more

What can I say, I dig Goodwill. After my Mom passed and we donated her clothes to Goodwill, I realized that there might be some good stuff inside so I checked it out. I was very surprised to see a clean well lit store with tons of cool stuff! I am constantly finding great electronics to use or resell on eBay. Lots of cool clothes for cheap, and many other things like stuff you had as a kid and thought you would never see again. I am always stopping to see what's there. read more

Great bargains, as you'd expect at a Goodwill store. I'm not sure if this is true everyday, but when I was there one tag color was half off (which means $2.50 in most cases) and a second tag color was $1.00. Can't beat that. I found clothes, linens, a lamp and shade, and a bunch of wool sweaters for $1 each (keep in mind that it was late May). This store is a bit of a haul for me, but I'll stop in when I can. read more
