Was a little lacking in items today but you wouldn't know it by checking out sooner of the overcrowded shelves. I truly hate when they just overstuffed the shelves and pile everything in there so you can't see anything except for the items on top of the pile. Stayed overnight nearby Willie visiting Mohegan Sun Casino. Could have spent hours in here but we had to head home to work. So many adorable items. Prices were fair. I really Loved that they post the daily sale tag color! I would have loved the bite me sweater but it was unfortunately a size small and I am not. read more

We were passing by saw the store and decided to stop by. This is a pretty big store. They seem to sell older things. We did end up getting two shirts here. Prices were okay nothing to bad. Overall okay experience here. read more

The Norwich Goodwill store has always been great and pleasant. But now they've expanded and it seems much cleaner and a wider variety of items with a few more staff people to help out. I love the drive-through drop off donation center. There is always someone ready to come out and help you unload things and give you a receipt if needed. they also explain what they do take and do not take, I believe this is also online though. And get your Goodwill blue card so you can become a frequent member and get even more discounts! I know there are people out there that bash Goodwill because of the Executive structure, but these are hard-working people in low skill jobs and they all do great jobs and are dedicated. I'm supporting them! read more

I was able to donate my items very quickly around the backside of the building. Staff and the volunteers were very friendly and helpful as I got my items out of my vehicle to donate. What a great time of year to go through and do some winter cleaning instead of just spring cleaning. There are many other people that can benefit from those things that you no longer utilized. read more

The pricing on used clothing/items is ridiculous here(maybe other locations as well). I can't tell you how many USED blazers I hung right back up after seeing the price. $49.99 on "name brand" I decided to look the same items up online, $25!!! For the price they are asking I would rather get a brand new one at Kohl's (NEW and cute) Goodwill is doing a disservice to the folks who not only shop here but DONATE here. In my opinion Goodwill is terribly greedy considering this is simply an in-door tag sale. Please do better, used items should be cheep (especially when they were free) read more

I have been to many Goodwill locations around the metro-New York area. This location by far is probably to best I've seen. The way things are arranged in the glass cases, the way that it's arranged by size and the hospitality of the staff goes far and above the norm for Goodwill. read more

After making a discimination complaint to the ada they decided to lie like lawyers always do and said they had no time to look into this issue. Basically if they have you been falsely arrested and barred from the store because of discimination you have no way to express you greavence to to govement because they do not have time to look into it. read more

Donation: There's a drive-thru lane around the left for donations, they were very fast. Store: Medium-sized lots of clothes, books (nicely shelved), dishes, small appliances. Unique items were a 2003 iMac and a chainsaw. The store is pretty packed lots of items and good supply of donations. Easter Seals Goodwill Industries is a non-profit that funds jobs and training for disability and special needs. They are not faith biased and are LGBT inclusive. read more

I drove up to donate a box of items and although there were quite a few employees in the back, nobody came to the car. I called inside the store and was informed that it's self serve donations and that I have to get out of the car and sort the items myself. 1st off if that's the new policy there should be a sign posted instead of the employees just looking at you and ignoring you. Secondly I don't understand why I have to sort my donation. I would have gladly got out of the car and put the box outside the door but having to sort them is not something I want to do. Even with covid, I dont understand the reasoning if there Isn't any contact with the employees.I'm taking the time to gather up these items which by the way are in very good condition and drive out of my way to donate them. I'll find a collection box for the donation I didn't donate tonight and for all future donations. read more

Many of the prices match or are higher than Wal-Marts prices (electric appliances, frames, childrens clothes, pajamas, jewelry, etc..); in fact even Macys' beats Goodwills prices when they have coupon sale days. Can you find good deals? Absolutely~ but they are limited. The store has "boutique" prices (12.99 and up) mixed in with the donated items. They should be separate~ what a waste of a time to go through the racks~ find a dress I like and see a boutique price tag of $19.99. A pair of pajamas at this Goodwill was 7.99. I can buy brand NEW pajamas/dress on sale at that price - Kohls, Burlington Coat Factory, JC Penney, etc...Seriously! read more

Absolutely ludicrous! Stopped here to look for cheap play clothes for my toddler. Tshirts for size 3t were starting at $5.99 each and most were stained and very worn. I wouldn't mind spending a dollar or two on that sort of stuff seeing as toddlers ruin everything as it is, but six dollars for a tshirt? Come on goodwill. I took a look at dvds and noticed immediately that there was an opened blue ray for $25. I walked out. Not worth my time or yours. EDIT: I stopped in here last week and was surprised to find that they have completely revamped their store. It was very organized (even by clothing size!), they seem a bit more picky about stains and broken items, and the prices were definitely a bit more reasonable. I had to come back to yelp and applaud them for their complete overhaul. It's practically a new goodwill! read more

Goodwill seems to be especially good in the New England in comparison to Orange County. I always find something I want to buy at this store and there are many great deals. Be on the look out for their "color of the week". Items labeled with that color are 50% off!! read more

Well bought a board game missing pieces. It was taped shut so I didn't check it. Who does that? And obviously no returns. This place is by far the worst. Go to habitat for humanity or Salvation Army instead where they check that things are complete and working. read more

I haven't been to this Goodwill in a couple months, but decided to drop by. First thing I see is 'FICTION' at the books section. I was impressed that the section resembled a bookstore and the books were actually categorized (3 categories). Then I went to the children's section. My kid being 2 and on the small-ish side, I have to rummage through the bins as anything below 4T-sized (I think, not sure) clothes are not hung on racks (save for the Boutique). At the 2 Goodwills I frequent, Groton and Clinton, I have never gotten any good reap from those bins. In Norwich though, the clothes in the bins were segregated -- 1 for girls and 1 for boys. And I noticed that the clothes had the indication that they were once stacked and grouped according to type, as opposed to just dumped in the bins. I don't know... I must have gone on a good day (Tuesday). They must put everything in order during the weekends...? Whatever the reason I hope they keep this up. read more

After making my purchase I was only given one bag. When I got home I realized things missing. I called and left a message saying I was only given one bag. The next day the manager called and left me a message that stated my bag was there that I left behind. I live a 30 minute drive from the store and by the way had just made a substantial donation prior to shopping. When the cashier bags your items it's done behind the counter and then they place the bag on the counter for you to take, there was only 1 bag on the counter. I'm seriously tired of the incompetence of employees these days. Prior to this experience a gas station cashier took three tries to get a transaction right, and earlier the same week a cashier forgot to remove the ink security tag off my daughter's holiday dress. Maybe robots will be better. I was raised to do my best and go the extra mile when doing something, whether it was at work or home, does this mean anything anymore? read more

I live in Niantic and in my opinion this store has the best selection of all of the Goodwills around me, including Clinton. The markup on some things is ridiculous though. Not sure where they get off charging "boutique" prices on stuff they got for free, especially considering the fact that Goodwill is a FOR profit organization. This location is not particularly clean either. There's always dust bunnies and grime everywhere. Also, there's this one woman who's worked there for a long time who is so nasty with customers, I cannot believe she still works there. She's usually "friendly" with me, as in she's not barking at me. But she tries to complain to me about other customers or how she wants to go home... what the heck? I'm here to buy clothes, not listen to a miserable woman complain about her job. I always hear her snapping at customers and being unbelievably rude and impatient. It makes me very uncomfortable. There's an Asian man who works there who I really like. He's polite, knowledgeable and efficient, and I love when I end up with him as my cashier. I'll keep going to this location because I love the clothes I find, but I hope they get it together one of these days! read more
