There are always lots of treasures to choose from and the inventory seems to change often, which makes it fun to browse. The staff and volunteers are friendly and welcoming, and you never feel rushed while looking around. One thing I really appreciate is the pricing. Compared to some other thrift stores, the prices here are very reasonable, which makes it even more fun to hunt for a good find. You truly never know what you didn't know you needed until you spot it on the shelf. Definitely one of my favorite thrift stops in the Waukesha area.

It is a well organized store for the most part, and I generally find things that I really like. I started to go to a different Goodwill because I feel their prices are just too high. I like coming here whenever I need a picture frame. They are way too expensive brand new and this way I get a super reasonable price from Goodwill. And one can always take some spray paint to them if not a pretty wood color or too scuffed up. The stuff is sometimes quite a hot mess, but still I don't usually leave empty handed. TIP: the stuff on the push carts on the aisle ends are things that just came in and have not been stocked, yet. Best to check those out first! (just learned that on my last visit :) Enjoy!

They do have tons of dresses on hand, but I struggled with how they organized them. They organize by style and color, which means you have to fight through mountains of dresses to see if there is a style you like, and then what size it is. I would have appreciated a system that was size forward, to eliminate wondering if and what would be an option for me at all in the store. I also thought that it was fairly steep prices for a second hand shop. While they had beautiful dresses, I thought the pricing was more in line with Nordstrom or Von Maur than a resale shop. I don't think I'll be going back for my needs in the future.

I poke to Mari, the owner briefly to learn more about the business. Open for about a year it is about a block off of Main Street. Historical Waukesha has long been limited with boutiques such as Polished Patina. Where can you go locally for boutiques like this? You would have to leave Waukesha. Places such as Harvest Home in Pewaukee is the closest, but it sure is nice to have boutiques like this here in Waukesha with inventory from local businesses and an eclectic fashion and furnishings. What I also like about Polished Patina are the craft classes. A short walk from the farmer's market or head over to Rochester Deli and shop at Polished Patina. These are the businesses that help change downtown Waukesha and we need more businesses like these.
