Super easy to pull up and drop off items. They have a drive through that is covered so you can pull up and unload a little or a lot. Staff are always quick to greet me and help and always offer a receipt (for taxes) if you need it. read more

Horrible customer service from the management . There is absolutely no communication between employees and the Management of the store . Employees have no idea what's going on and if you ask the manager you get yelled at . Employees themselves are alright depending on what day you go shopping the older ones are amazing especially Rhonda she is a delight a total sweetheart and is always greeting you with a big smile . I had a question the other day about a miscommunication at the register so the cashier called the Manager after waiting a couple minutes for her she showed up and addressed me right away with a pretty loud voice. I told her what the problem was and instead of lowering her voice and explaining me what's going on she got even louder and talked down at me. Even after i asked her to please lower her voice since I don't appreciate her shouting at me noting she just kept on going so I payed and wished her a good day . But I'm pretty disappointed I always donated a lot of stuff to this location since it's pretty close to our house but not no more . I expect more from a leading associate you should be a role model and sorry but if the manager is talking with a raised voice at costumers and I wasn't disrespectful or loud or anything I don't even want to know how regular employees are supposed to treat costumers. I don't know how made the decision to promote this lady to manager but you might want to reconsider . read more

Today a cashier from the Goodwill made about six cars re-park (though most of them just left) because she thought they were parked in the fire lane....as long as you're behind the red line you're fine to park there...she announced it on the loud speaker several times and called every single shopper out of the store who was parked there and accused them of parking in a fire lane, one guy was pretty upset. She should stick to cashiering. read more

So like all resale shops, you might have to hunt around for your treasure, or latest clothing trend on the cheap, but I think that's part of the fun of Goodwill. Nice, plentiful selection of women's, men's, and children's clothing. I was a tad disappointed at how many things were misplaced. For example, I usually am a medium or large, but would frequently pick up a cute shirt only to find it wasn't my size. Not the worst, but what's the point of separating things into sizes if they're not really separated? However seeing the volume of people that come thru I understand how this could happen. Nice selection of new socks, undergarments, and cute slippers. Score! Dressing rooms were unkempt on my visit, but I've been to many stores where this is the case. Great shop overall with a few minor pitfalls. They usually have a color of the day that's on sale! I love that, consumer friendly prices with additional % off. read more

I have been shopping at Goodwill for years & even worked there for a year. I've always had good experiences until today! I browsed the store shopping with my son & daughter & when I went to the register to pay some lady pulled a tag off a toy that said $2.49, she said that the toy needs to be $8.99 basically accusing me of changing the sticker. I told her I want the toy & don't mind paying $8.99 but then she begins to remove stickers from all my items. The items were all listed between $3.99-$2.99. Which is the whole reason I was going to purchase them. I had no idea what she was doing & it was quite frankly embarrassing. I was standing there in line with my children with several other people waiting to checkout & I asked why she was changing the prices & I got no explanation. She just said that all the items would be $8.99 each if I wanted them. I will never shop at that store again. I have worked as a pricer in the wares dept & I realize people take tags off & switch tags but that isn't anything I've ever done & I've been a customer for years at several locations. Very disappointing & embarrassing! Per your response: Unfortunately I was the one who picked up the items & was treated unprofessionally by your employee. I know for a fact that the employee who checked me out didn't price the items because the employee who interrogated me at the counter asked the cashier if she had prices the items & the girl replied no. So it's obvious to me neither of them had priced the items I had picked up. And to think this whole incident occurred because my 5 year old happened to pick out a toy that had two price tags on it. She could have just said hey this has two tags & charged me accordingly. But instead she started taking tags off other items that clearly only had one price on them & didn't even give an explanation as to why. It was totally unprofessional the way it was handled. Either way it was embarrassing & disheartening. At the end of the day really all I need the employee to understand is that she cannot expect the customers to know what the items were priced at on any given day. My initial thoughts as someone who thrift shops at least 3 times a week is sometimes the person pricing is being very generous & other times I think they must have a new person because everything is overpriced. This is true for every thrift store not just Goodwill. I just want to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else & why I left the review. read more

I have pretty much stopped shopping here thanks to Covid and management's response. I used to shop here about once a month and at first I only planned on staying away for a couple months total to avoid people and help stop the spread but then I was informed that they were temporarily stopping sales days to purposefully discourage people like me from coming in as if I needed the reason. They blamed the governor and his limited capacity rules for the change and kept saying they would bring back sale days after Covid ends which they could not give a date for. This was upsetting to be left in limbo but I thought I could wait them out. 9 months later I start calling to find out when the next sale will be since things are starting to open back up at full capacity and no employee can give me a good answer. None of them know anything. I try calling corporate who keeps hanging up on me and passing me to answering machines where I leave messages that never get returned. It has been like 14 months since the start of Covid now, the vaccine rollout is well underway and the governor has long ago lifted all limiting requirements and I called again today to try to get an answer about when I can come shopping for anything other than clothes on sale and finally get to talk to a manager who is able to answer my question. She tells me that they just had a meeting and have decided that they are no longer going to have sales days at all because they are never coming back. That means they lied and strung me along all this time and just used Covid as an excuse to do away with the customer friendly policy. This comes on top of the horrible change they made like a year before Covid to revamp the loyalty program and invalidate our stamp cards and make the coupon no longer work on purchases under $25. This manager was nice and informed me that I could come in and negotiate prices which I don't know if I believe because for years that was never allowed and no employee has ever allowed me to do that before. She said the old manager probably wouldn't have allowed it but I doubt negotiating will get me close to 50% off like the sales days used to automatically take off which was necessary since everything was consistently marked up about 50% on purpose so they had room to drop it for sales. I don't have to go in to know that they haven't dropped prices to reflect the fact that sales days are permanently gone now. Buying used to keep things out of the landfill and getting better quality items still goes along with my values but paying new prices for used items just does not make sense to me. I guess they just don't want old customers to return. They clearly don't care about getting business back and in the last few months I have found other thrift stores in the area so I will move on and spend my money elsewhere. read more

Drove across town to check out this Goodwill. Walked in at 8:20 tonight for a quick run through, 5 minutes later at 8:25 the music was turned off and at 8:30 they announced the store was closing in 30 minutes and to start making your way with your final purchases to the front. 5 minutes later at 8:35 half of the lights in the store got turned off, including the ones in the front by the dishes that we were looking at- making it difficult to browse. 5 minutes later at 8:40 they announced that it was now 8:40, that they would be closing in 20 minutes, and to make your way to the register to finish up your final purchases. We walked out by 8:45 because I couldn't stand to hear an announcement one more time as if they were so busy waiting on 4 people to get out of the store. If a store is open until 9PM, it should be expected to be open until then. Even at the mall they don't announce closing until 15 minutes before closing. I understand cleaning and getting the closing duties finished so you can leave at 9 after everyone is checked out. The way they were rushing the 4 customers with the two of us included out by turning off half the lights 25 minutes before closing is ridiculous. The only reason we gave them 2 stars is because of the nice woman that greeted us as she walked by and asked how we were while she was bustling around getting things done. Definitely won't be recommending to my bargain shoppers group to check out this location. I suggest going the extra 5 miles to the other Goodwill on Arkansas Lane. read more

This location is one of the worst organized of all the Goodwill stores I've been to. It's seemingly all in order, but as you sift through the clothes it becomes apparent it's a mixed-up mess throughout. The clothes themselves are clearly not examined well; it's not unusual to see stained and hole riddled clothing in the racks. The book section is the smallest I've seen and only really had some tattered religious books. When I did go to pay for the one frame I found, the manager was on her Bluetooth headset gabbing with a friend the entire transaction. The Goodwill Superstore on Arkansas is a much better location. read more

I was on my way home and i saw it on the corner of cooper. I figured why not stop and browse around. To my surprise they had a great selection of vases. All for ridiculously low prices. I snagged 20 vases for less under 20 buck.. Super deal. And the customer service associate was Super sweet. Turned out to be a great random stop. read more

They are for profit, but people continue to support them instead of the locally owned thrift stores, my personal favorite is Outreach Thrift Store, just down the street from goodwill. read more

This is one of the worst companies to work for or even donate to .The DM Terry is by far the worst DM I have ever seen or work with . He belittles women and makes you feel like your not important. The company also doesn't care about the customers complaints and there regard to the over price items. I have worked for this company for over 6 months and I started as a Cashier then in the back pricing. Goodwill gets everything DONATED to them and still wants to prices them like a retail store. Since I have worked there no one wants to be part of the company and I have seen everyone drop like flys .The manager that was there demanded us to price everything super high. When we didn't price the item high enough she "Tonya" would question us and tell us that we should price higher. When we tell them that customers are not happy with the prices her response was will they keep coming back and that customers will always complain. Also if you work there and want to buy something you can't buy anything because it's called stealing.. As of now this store doesn't have any management besides the ones he has to borrow from other locations . Also when they ask you to donate your Change for charity. It's all BS those programs are support by the government. I can go on and on and on but I will make a blog about this company because I seen the ins and outs of it and it's pretty sad . read more

I only used the fraud Goodwill because we are moving and under a time crunch. I made two trips to donate clothes and other household items, met by a disgruntled an impersonal man who appeared to hate his job . On the second trip I reclaimed the plastic totes (the ones that had been emptied since visit one) I used in transporting the first trip. I mentioned I would be taking them back only to be told "I was on camera." I took them anyway. Again, I was threatened with "It's all on camera." I explained they were my plastic totes to no avail. Part of me wanted to immediately empty every box I delivered on the second trip all over the ground, taking all of the boxes and totes with me. At no point did I donate my own plastic totes to Goodwill, just the contents, much of which I watched being put straight into a trash bin. I would strongly discourage anyone from donating to or buying from Goodwill. EVER! read more

Im a Goodwill addict. Shop weekly at Hurst, Kennedale, North Arlington, Mansfield, etc and the South Arlington one is the worst one I have ever been in for numerous reasons. 1) the clothes are gross, worn out, ripped, damaged, old; very rarely do I actually find something quality and worth owning here. 2) BUT....they are priced HIGHER than any other Goodwill in the area! Most Goodwills in DFW charge $4.49 for women's shirts; this one wants to charge $5.99 for JUNK. Even name brand cardigans or outwear at most other Goodwills are $5.49 or $5.99; South Arlington charges $8.99! 3) the store is in utter disarray every time I go in there. The "community service" workers they rely heavily on to do the "work" while working off their DUI don't give a crap about doing it correctly. They just shove crap on whatever rack exists closest to their body. 4) The actual employees are exceptionally rude, poorly trained, cuss out loud in front of customers, act like customers don't exist except to make their lives h*** and are scarcely found in the first place. 5) the place smells like oily, musty body odor. Most other Goodwills have this deodorizing citrus spray they spray on all the clothes, sometimes making small adjustments to the clothes to make them present better and sell better. This Goodwill throws them on the rack whichever way, the clothes smell terrible, the store smells terrible, as a result, and the racks are shoved busting full on some racks and nearly empty on other racks. 6) home merchandise is WAAAAAYYYYY over priced. A busted up, rusted 2 drawer file cabinet, missing a handle and the key? $25! A falling apart nightstand with the fake wood laminate coming off in one corner from water damage? $30! They don't price for CONDITION AND SALE here; they price based on CATEGORY AND BRAND NAME. Falling apart Adidas kids shoes? $20! Brand new no-brand tennis shoes with $15 price tag still on them? $8. No wonder the store is busting at the seams with WHOLE CATEGORIES of merchandise they can't sell. They seem to have lost the capitalist values that profit is in the sell; not in the hoarding based on personal, perceived value. Volume sales = volume profits. They're working with FREE supply anyway; profits are easy to achieve but this store doesn't seem to care except to overprice. Negotiating is off the table; they react like they're about to get violent with you for interrupting their loud conversation with another Goodwill employee two rows away. I try to avoid this store as much as possible; despite living 2 minutes from there. I go way out of my way to drive 15-20 minutes elsewhere every week to locate better merchandise, clean stores, friendly hard working employees and much better deals from people who actually care. read more

I love this place. Buying baby clothes is not cheap, but here, just about all of the infant clothing is 1.99. That, I can afford. Even the big furniture is really cheap. I saw a big reclining chair priced at 15.00. I have gotten quite a few things here and I definitely recommend it. read more
