It doesn't seem as crowded or picked-over as the location farther south on Cooper, either. Having a big selection can be kind of a double-edged sword: - It takes longer to thumb through one hundred shirts than twenty shirts, and this store has one hundred and twenty of everything. Check items carefully for stains. - Given that there's less foot traffic, you'll see the same items over and over if you visit often. You probably want to space your visits out to allow for more inventory turnover. If you have half an hour to an hour of free time and a very patient friend or partner, give this Goodwill a try.

The store appears to be run by an all-volunteer staff so I'll excuse them for not greeting me or playing shopping rock. Most of the clothes are for less fashion-forward clientele. I found a few trendy items and they were quite a bargain. There were lots of glass tchotchkes for collectors. It's worth a drive out here and is located in a quaint part of town. Items that sell for $20 at other thrift stores are $100 . Clothing that sells for $2 elsewhere is $25. After 90 days , they discount some of the items by 40% , which means they are still overpriced. I noticed many items had the tags blacked out to remove the discount. We spent more than an hour and could not justify making a purchase . I won't return.

I bought kitchenware (knives, never been used waffle maker), a lamp, games, and a gorgeous high-end coffee table. There's a couple of tables that have deep discounts. I found a pair of red leather pumps in my hard find size 5 for two dollars! So with the 30% off senior discount, my shoes were $1.40! Here's the story: American Airlines changed out their uniforms, so they donated all the shoes to the store. The workers, especially Norman the storyteller are involved and energetic. He knows customers by name and gives them suggestions on what is new stock. If you sign up for the email list, you will stay updated on the latest sales and promotions. Well, I haven't received an email yet, but Norman recognizes me and knows my preferences. They even assist you when you buy large items. You can pull to the back of the building and they will help you load it into your vehicle. Whenever you are in the area, check the store out. Why buy full price when you can score a deal at Graceful Buys? Whenever I am in town, I will definitely come back.

The lady employees at Haltom Thrift were so RUDE and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL THAT I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. The Bur Oaks Investments group that owns this thrift store needs to know this as well. I asked the girl employee what the color tag for discounts was today and she stood there staring at me with her headphones in her ears pulling them with a huff of breath like I was interrupting her.
