I'm really disappointed with my experience at the Edmond Goodwill today…read more I found two Numberblocks figurines (8 and 10) on the toy shelf. They had no price tags, so I took them to the register and asked if someone could price them. I was told they could not be sold because there was nobody available who could price them. I explained that I didn't care what they were priced at--I would have gladly paid $5.99 each, or honestly even $10 each. I wasn't asking for a discount or trying to negotiate. I simply wanted to purchase merchandise that was already sitting on the sales floor. My son is autistic and absolutely loves numbers and Numberblocks, so I was genuinely excited to bring these home to him. I could already picture how happy he would be over these two little toys. Unfortunately, I had to put them back. I was then asked if I still wanted to purchase my other items. I declined because the Numberblocks were the thing I was most excited about. I understand having policies, but if an item is placed on the sales floor, customers should reasonably be able to purchase it. If something doesn't have a price, there should be a process or someone available to determine a reasonable price. I wasn't trying to get something for cheap. I was literally willing to pay whatever reasonable price they gave me. This wasn't really about the money or even the toys. It was about a simple purchase that could have made my kid incredibly happy, and there was no reason it couldn't have happened. I hope Goodwill will reconsider how situations like this are handled.

Immediately upon walking in, before I could tell the person what I was there for, she told me they were closing in half an hour. So let me get this straight. I get there at five... You close at 5:30... Yet you choose to tell me that you're closing and need me to rush around? You're getting paid to work until 5:30. I don't really see the problem. Then I was asked to lock my purse up. Which didn't happen last time OR the time before, but whatever. I shopped. Left with nothing due to rudeness from a typical Gen Z worker. Then as I left and was trying to get my things from the locker, the girl just stared at me. Until I left. After seeing me drop everything. I should've just left there, honestly. I've never encountered such weirdness and rude behavior in one place. Not a great experience.

They were a great place to shop! Until today. My son who is a minor & a Type 1 Diabetic that…read morerequires insulin, and a nasal spray to wake him up if his sugar bottoms out. We have went in there many times, and NEVER had a single problem with him carrying his diabetic bag in the store. There were many employees he came in contact with today that could have said something. The manager waited until we were in the store for about 30 min before saying anything. And she said it in front of a lot of people that were around. My mom & I explained that he is a T1D and has to have these meds accessible. She said we could leave it behind the counter. I said so you want me to leave $1000 worth of medicine with people we don't know. She said well they are my employees they will protect it. So she doesn't trust my son in a THRIFT store to not steal cheap BS, but she expects me to trust her employees with a THOUSAND dollars. Not only that, but he has to have that nasal spray. If he passes out I have to grab it. As soon as he drops. She didn't care that she humiliated him infront of a dozen people. She didn't care that she made him feel less than because of his disease. I called corporate and they didn't even care that she did this. The Americans against disabilities need to get on this business & let them know this is DISCRIMINATION! The older man at the register was too busy talking about costume makeup and swords to help us in regards to a piece of furniture we wanted to inquire about so that was a sell they lost. When we walked in, the woman said everything on the very back wall was free. We also heard her tell someone else the very same thing. This turned out to be untrue. At the register we were told that 90% of what we picked up from that wall (including 2 holiday items) we not free. There is also a $5.00 charge to use a credit card. Unfortunately, I have no interest in returning.
