This place is a joke! Waste of time! They made it sound like everything was great and they could match me right away. Then bothered me to hurry up and interview with them so that they could get me placed. I didn't even know what the heck their company does! It was never even explained to me until I interviewed and they said that they "had place that would match what I was looking for. " ok?? It took them the weeks to get a hold of the places that were "immediately hiring", and even then they could only pertussis one interview for someone with 15 years of customer service/restaurant experience and 7 years of restaurant general management experience. I had only one interview after they had told me how perfect I was for this company. I am highly qualified with compete and valid references, but have only been promoted from within, so I did not know how to "properly" interview for a management position. The recruiter "prepped" me for an hour, and I did everything they told me to do during the interview with a place they supposedly knew about. I work for a great boss who appreciates me, but I was looking for a higher salary. With COVID-19 stress, my company is not thriving anymore. At the end of my otherwise great interview, the interview asked me if I had any questions. Since the reason for looking to change employers was based strictly on compensation I asked about training style/benefits/pay rate. So, at the end of the interview, I asked about those three things (As anyone with a BRAIN would do before leaving a job that they enjoy). Why waste time with a second interview if they don't meet my criteria? I thought it went pretty well. A couple of days later I get a call from the recruiter. She said, "the employer loved you and your personality but they decided not to go with you. Would you like some feedback?" I agreed to hear the feedback and was told, "asking about pay makes you look selfish in an interview." Excuse me? That makes no sense. Why would I leave my current employer to throw my career and happiness to the wind? It seems like these people have no clue what they are talking about and are just out to make their quota with unsuspecting job seekers. Luckily I caught on and decided to cut ties! I was declined payment of $283 for a dinner cruise because I followed the instructions for the "dinner cruise." yeah sounds crazy right! I was told I didn't purchase a cocktail. Here is a copy/paste of the "dinner" instructions: *If this is a DINNER CRUISE - YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE YOUR WINE FROM THE SERVER, AND YOUR BEER FROM THE BAR. WINE IS TO BE PURCHASED FROM THE SERVER DURING YOUR MEAL AND BEER IS TO BE PURCHASED FROM THE BAR BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR MEAL. YOU WILL PURCHASE 1 DRINK AT ALL ADDITIONAL OPEN BAR. As you can see it states in the last sentence 1 DRINK...The Client Manager is stating I did not order a cocktail. If that's what they wanted, it should have been clearly written that way. They expect you to write a clear detailed report but they can't do that for their instructions. I called and emailed a response and of course she is ignoring me. I have shopped for Goodwin & Associates in the past and they have instituted new policies to make sure no checks get "lost in the mail." It is now entirely Paypal based, so if you aren't getting paid, it's really your own fault. They clearly and repeatedly post the shop requirements and email them to you as well. Of my dozen or so shops, I've never gotten paid outside a 45 day window and they usually pay within about a month. Mystery shopping isn't meant to pay you a steady wage, it's meant to be a mutually beneficial proposition - you offset the costs of going out and the locations get good feedback on how to improve or keep their standards high. Do I hate the 24 hour deadline? Oh, heck yes, I usually have work the next day and plans that evening. Do I fit it in anyway? Yes, because I read the rules and know that I need to do it to get paid anything at all. If you are good at reading and following basic instructions and writing objectively with a concrete deadline, Goodwin & Associates can help you save some money and try some new places. read more

This is the company that runs www.MysteryShopperProgram.com, a website that facilitates secret shops for restaurants across the country. BEWARE! It's a hustle. I signed up as a shopper earlier this year after seeing a story about it on the local news in Atlanta. It seemed easy enough and I thought I would be a good candidate since I already review places I eat for Yelp. Anyway, I finally accepted a job shopping a sports bar off of Clairmont Road in Atlanta. I brought a friend (as they requested) and we ordered drinks, an appetizer, and two lunch entrees. Our bill plus tip was $10 more than the predetermined reimbursement amount. Oh well... I carefully completed my report and submitted it along with my receipts only to be told that I wouldn't be paid because we didn't order dessert. First, this is a sports bar and they did not have any desserts listed on the lunch menu I had. Also, are you really asking me to spend EVEN MORE of MY money knowing that it's not even going to be reimbursed?!? After sending a few emails back and forth I was able to conclude that this is just a hustle and I don't think they ever intended to support me. It's possible I was the victim of some bad circumstances and should have done a better job of reading the fine print. Maybe it's all my fault and they were right?? Hmm... Regardless, don't let yourself become a victim. I don't recommend that you sign-up with this company as they don't do the right thing when it comes to treating their shoppers properly. If you do, make sure you read and understand everything. They don't provide any training or explanation prior to sending you out to conduct shops on their behalf. Restaurant owners should be aware that if they use this company the shoppers are sent out without any training and probably don't provide the best possible information. read more

My opinion looks like it might be the unpopular one but I haven't had any issues using 360 Intel (pka Goodwin Hospitality). I've done quite a few mystery shops before, all have gone off without a hitch. My thought process is, if they tell you it is encouraged to read the guidelines before doing the shop, then do so! It'll help minimize your chances of looking something over or forgetting an important part of the mystery shop. Always visit the bathrooms, take pictures of everything, and use a notepad (either physical or on your phone) to write down names to help ensure you aren't missing anything important to complete the shop. Payments are normally paid the following month. Whenever I have questions, I contact their mystery shop helper and have received responses in less than 24 hours, every time. I have zero qualms with this company and have recommended it before to friends because of my great experiences so far! read more

Goodwin Hospitality is legitimate and real, especially if you like to dine for free to nearly free. I have eaten many good meals and been to a few nice hotels for which I doubt I would freely spend my money on. They pay you as each contract states as long as you follow the rules, it's a business. Approach your work for Goodwin as a business then it makes sense. Report on time and like to write then it will work for you. Your first report for a restaurant will take some time. As you shop the same chain of restaurants the reporting becomes easier. Think of it as how many hours would you need to work to earn the net pay that Goodwin offers you for a restaurant mystery shop. You are not taxed on the Goodwin reimbursement unless you go over $600 in a year but while you're eating and earning you are creating personal business tax deductions. Today Andrew from Goodwin called me and asked me to do a secret shop at a restaurant downtown. Since I was going downtown today I figured I would try it and See how Goodwin conducts their shops. I was very happy with Andrew and The restaurant he sent me to was Delicious and I look forward to going back and doing more shops with Goodwin. Do not do business with Goodwin Hospitality. They do not treat their secret shoppers with respect and have a lack of transparency when it comes to deadlines and expectations. They are slow to pay but fast to reject completed shops for missing deadlines that are not readily outlined when accepting a shop. (ie. Buried in the fine print) I attempted to submit my completed show within 48 hours of completion of the shop but it was still rejected even though a deadline was not assigned to the shop in the notes. read more

I have contacted this company, oh I'd say 10 times in regards to non-payment for the first visit i performed for them. And Ive done at least 3 at this point. They say payment is sent out 60-90 days after a report is received, and at this point it'd been 120 days. The last time someone actually got back to me about my non-payment request I was told their billing person was out and has been in the hospital. NO SYMPATHY FROM ME!. My former employer (current at the time of my job search) was not respecting my hard work and dedication nor did they have opportunity for career advancement for me. I needed to find something new, and fast, before I sank more time into the situation that I was in. Andrea was by far the best recruiter that I have ever dealt with (And trust me, there have been many). From day 1 to the completion of the process, Andrea was with me every step of the way. Here are a few of my favorite things that I got out of my experience: 1) Andrea treated me like a friend. She always had my best interests in mind and listened to what I had to say. My happiness was most important to her, not just finding me a job that I wouldn't enjoy. 2) Before every interview, Andrea had a prep session with me. She went over everything that I needed to know for each specific step. Clothing/attire, interview questions, who am I going to be meeting with, how should I present myself at each level of interview, what should we talk about, etc.. I went in to every single interview fully prepared for it which was significant in my confidence. 3) Part of the deal with Andrea was that I had to let her know after anything happened (phone call, email, interview, even a call from another recruiter trying to get me into their network. I found this particularly important because to me it goes back to the friendship point I made in #1. Andrea wanted to be in the loop, she cared more than any other recruiter that I have ever worked with. 4) When we got close to the offer, Andrea had information for me that regarded the job/company in more detail. It's fun, I've tried places I wouldn't have thought of and went bowling for the first time in years! You don't make money, it's not a job, but it mostly covers the cost of the fun. I've been doing mystery shopping with Goodwin & Associates for a few years now and have found that the people I work with are friendly, flexible, and provide good/fair payments for shops. There is always a plethora of different opportunities available and payments for completed shops are accurate and quick. I've done shops for a few other companies with long drawn-out surveys that ask the same question over and over again but Goodwin surveys are very "to the point" and all that I have completed have taken less than 30 minutes to complete. I love to eat and I love good customer service. Having worked close to 15 years in the hospitality industry it really irks me when I don't receive decent service from people who it's their job to ensure my satisfaction. I am not needy or full of demands so I thought my experience and love of food would be a good fit for some mystery shopping. I've been doing shops for Goodwin Hospitality for over 2 years and even though I was a little confused when I started, I am fully enjoying our mutually beneficial agreement. I shop and eat and try new places and they reimburse me for something I would have probably done anyways. Their shops have specific requirements that need to be carefully reviewed and met anf their reports need to be thorough and not one word answers. Their set reimbursement amount covers the shop requirements and I cover the gratuity which works great for me and my friends when I let them accompany me on a shop. I have needed to change the shop dates few times and they were accomodating. I get paid through Paypal, which I love, within 60 days. I do keep a spreadsheet because I do quite a few shops for them and there were 2 instances where their payment for a shop did not go through after 60 days and they apologized and processed payment right away. I really enjoy doing this but I don't recommend this if you're looking for a job or as a means to supplement your income. It simply offsets costs you would incur eating and going out while helping businesses improve their products and service. I have recommended them to a couple of friends who I know enjoy eating out and have good service standards. I relocated from the east coast to Nashville a little over a year ago and I was reached out by one of their recruiters. I have worked with many other recruiters in the past, but never had an experience like this. She met with me face to face to discuss what I wanted in my next position, she asked thorough interview questions and really dug in for the truth. She helped me obtain several job interviews, but none of them were the perfect fit for what I was very truly trying to find. (I was being very picky by the way). I was actually offered two positions and turned them both down for personal reasons. I ended up finding a job on my own and when I let my recruiter know,she sent me a handwritten congratulations card for my new position. Needless to say that job just didn't have everything it said it did, but I remembered the relationship that was built between myself and my Goodwin Recruiter and went right back to them to help on the next search. I am now one of their recruiters, because I too wanted to work for a company that had the ethical standards that I hold so high. Do not accept shops from Goodwin. I have been a secret shopper for 3 1/2 years and nobody has ever treated me so poorly. They changed the shop instructions after I had already accepted the shop and then refused to pay out because the instructions had not been met. The change in instructions required me to get a shave at a barber which cost more than the reimbursement and payment combined. read more

This company has turned a corner well over two years ago. They are paying on time and the schedulers have been extremely helpful. While in the past I can understand why others might have had some issues, I have not had any difficulties or problems with them for over two years now. If you have an emergency or need assistance they are there to help you. The staff are great allies who are fair and more then understanding as these jobs can be time consuming and things don't always go as planned. I love working for this company! I have done jobs for them for quite some time now. I have never had a problem with my reports or payment.

I also have done a few shops with them, and most of the account managers are great, one however is not. My family completed a shop and put extra effort into the report, and spent money we didn't have for what should have come to a $2 dollar payment after the report. 8 days later we received an email which said on the bottom "*note-do not pay, will not be accepted". It said they had tried to contact multiple times regarding a missing receipt, well I had that receipt and it had been attached to the report. I could have given it to them right then, but they would not take it. I went back and forth with this woman who insisted they had tried to contact us, there were no emails or phone calls so I do not know how she could say that. She got her report and got to keep payment which should have been sent here as reimbursement. STAY AWAY I want to note by $2 I mean I spent $57 after tip at a restaurant and they are reimbursing 55. Also, a chain of restaurant which is in Nashua requires you spend and get so much to eat, and only pays $35 for a long report to do, and it's obvious you are a shopper with the requirements. read more

DON'T do secret shops for them, they are a scam, they do not pay for completed shops and make excuses as to why payment is denied for shop. I completed a bakery shop for them and completed my report, along with taking photos of the items I purchased and taking a picture of the receipt showing my purchase. 2 days later I am being asked for photos (that I already sent in) of the bakery items I purchased, when I told them that I already sent that in and that I no longer had the bakery item (hello who doesn't eat cake right away) my payment was denied. Everything else, my completed report, and the picture of my receipt were received but not the picture of the items purchased. Very suspicious, especially since the webpage stated upload complete. Not only was my payment denied but they were VERY RUDE to me when I inquired about it. BEWARE they are a scam, don't do shows for them!! read more

I have done some mystery shops with this company over the last few years. Average company to work for some of the Project Managers are great some are awful! Drove over an hour for one project and the store did not have a display as they were supposed do, and Even though I had pictures of the shop and all receipts necessary the one Project Manager refused to pay me!
