Goody Goody is hands down my go-to liquor store. They always have everything in stock, and their prices are consistently the best in the area. No matter what I'm looking for--wine, spirits, or something new to try--they never disappoint. The customer service really stands out. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and actually takes the time to help. Came here while in town as liquor can't be sold at other types of stores. Went in and was very overwhelmed as the selection they have is huge. Browsed the coolers for cold drinks, tried to look at wine but it was too much. Was mostly there to pick up alcohol which other people in my party had a hard decision making do to all the choices. They were doing bottle engraving while I was there which was free and not something I have seen offered any where else. Staff were friendly and check out was quick. Staff asked multiple times if they could assist us in finding things, letting us know about the bottle engraving and talking about liquor with us. Check out clerk gave my 7 year old a candy cane. I'm giving these guys high marks for the layout of their store and inventory. They could have scored a Five Star review if they had Soda Water but...all they had were excuses why they didn't. Didn't matter, I ended up buying a 4-pak of Fever Tree Tonic which I love so.... The outside of the store is deceptive. It feels a little creepy but. you have to remember, these guys built this store a long time ago when there was virtually no other development. Once inside though, everything makes sense. For example. Along the back wall are horizontal shelves holding all the Champagnes and Sparkling Wines. These are categorized by price point from most expensive down to least expensive. Does anyone remember Andre'? They've got it along with anything else within reason you may have a thirst for. The rest of the store is laid out in the usual manner and the inventory seemed to be good on everything including some not-so-ordinary choices. For example, I came in for a Brazilian Liquor, Cachaca 51 brand. Sometimes its hard to find and in my opinion the best. Goody Goody had plenty hence my trip here. Really impressed with this location. Initially, I thought it was closed since it's in a "dead looking" strip store zone right off of highway 121. But the inside is pretty big and there are lots of choices! I found this rye whiskey that is aged 6 months and it's one of those small batch whiskeys. (Small batch whiskey doesn't mean squat). Per Wikipedia "there are generally no clear criteria as to what defines a "small batch". The small batch rye whiskey I found is called Noteworthy. It's 90 proof. It can only be found at goody goody stores. I had a glass later that evening and it had a really nice taste. It's gentle on the palate and no real burn going down. I'm sad that it's only found at Goody-Goody since I have another large liquor store down the road. Just means I'll have to make runs that are a little off the beaten path. When you are extendedly staying at a hotel for like, months, and they don't serve your type of bourbon at the bar, you have to take matters into your own hands. Yep, got a nice bottle of bourbon - and they even sell individual glasses here! - which was awesome because there were only paper cups in my hotel room. This is my favorite liquor store chain in Dallas and I like this location a lot because they are close to or on my way to/from several of my office locations, conveniently located right off 121. The other main reason I like GoodyGoody is because they are consistently priced lower than the variety of other liquor stores in the area. They have a huge selection of liquors, beers and wines and the store is always clean and neat. I don't think I've ever been here and not been able to find something I needed. Goody Goody is an adult candy store. Only in Texas could I make such a liquor store find. I was in Dallas for a wedding and made a quick dash out to get supplies for the "after party" that's how I found Goody Goody and oh my what a find. This place is like the Target of liquor stores, they have everything, yes, everything. The store is roughly the size of a football field and it was chock full of goodness. Of course they have all of the basics, but they also have specialty items like pre-made Jello shooters and other goodies, that I don't find in the state-run liquor stores back in Virginia. I really have no complaints about this place other than my drink of choice is $6 cheaper at the new Specs a few minutes away. This place is well-stocked with nice varieties. They usually have some good deals, just not as good as what I experienced at Specs. Also, I find it a bit strange that they keep the fifths of regular Courvosier in the back (a sales associate has to go get it for you) but the fifths of the pricier Courvosiers are on the regular shelves. They usually send the old man to get it for me and he usually comes back with the wrong thing. And I have to wait 15 more minutes for him to go back and get the right thing. Since I am a Courvosier drinker, my trips to Goody Goody tend not to be in and out like everyone else's :-( Other than that, this is easily the best liquor store in The Colony....but Specs is in a neighboring city, 5 minutes away :-) read more

This place is similar to a Total Wine if you are familiar. The difference is they can sell liquor. I wasn't there for that but more just to pick up some craft beer. The beer selection was decent but not mind blowing. I sort of expected more but maybe I'm just too big of a beer nerd. It's a little out the way but the points & customer service make up for it plus getting some samples every now & then is always nice. I pretty much buy the same thing all the time but the staff normally has some good suggestions if I want to try something new. Not sure how a liquor store can be bad unless their pricing is way too high but I figure if you have expensive taste you should compare pricing before just popping in. read more

Been here a couple times now and I really like this place. Pros: GREAT wine selection. I've been able to find some of my favourite wines from Napa/Sonoma, and a couple of sparkling wines that I also really like. I love how the store is organized, with the bottle on top and the corresponding wine is below. Also have a great selection of rye and liquor. Also have a decent selection of local brews. Ugh, they lose two stars for consistently being rude and staring me down every time they ask for my ID. There's one young girl cashier who is very nice and recognizes me, but the others act like I'm working undercover for the police or something. Yeah, I know I look young, but do you have to make me wrestle my ID out of my wallet holder and scan it every other time? You'd think you would get to know your regular customers. One time, one of the older guys (probably a manager), literally wouldn't let go of my wallet when I was pulling it back after showing him my ID. He then stared me down, as usual. Good job, buddy. I am a transplant. I am loving getting to know this city but I hate that I can't buy booze wherever I want. I do heart Goody Goody, though. Simply put, they have a great selection with reasonable prices. I like to make funky specialty martinis with offbeat ingredients and they always seem to have them whether it be key lime creme liqueur or blueberry schnapps. A good bottle of Stoli or Jack or Jose will generally run you a dollar less than the competitors. My only complaint is that they are not located across the street. My Stoli Vanil is low so I have to drive to The Colony to restock. OK, we'll give one star to government zoning but a 5-spot for Goody Goody! read more

What is not to like about Goody Goody? It's like the Wal-Mart of the liquor, beer, and wine world. This store is AWESOME and I'm not even that big of a drinker. When I buy alcohol, especially liquor, I make the trip to Goody Goody (either this location, or the one closer to my home in Flower Mound). Goody Goody has an impressive selection of liquor, wine and beer. They carry products ranging from the cheapest of the cheap (in quality and price) to ultra Luxe premium varieties of alcoholic beverages. Their beer selection is great, but as good as Majestic Liquor in Flower Mound, which is pretty much the best in North Texas in my opinion. The staff is always friendly and helpful and will answer any questions you may have. The have product tastings in store from time to time. They always seem to card me, which I like and appreciate. :-) Anyone that questions if I may be under the age of 21 is a winner in my books. They will even help you carry your booze out the the car for you if you ask. Perfect for the lazy alcoholic, or when you are making a major haul for a party. I LOVE Goody Goody! read more

Easily the best liquor store I've ever been in, and I've been in a lot. One place I'd fault them is on their selection of sambucas--they only had three to choose from. But the 75-foot wall of champagne and the two aisles of vodka choices made that complaint fade from memory. Most of their flavored vodkas come in fifth AND handle sizes! Like nothing we have in Indiana, and only comparable to a few seen in Chicago, but the prices here blow the Chicago stores out of the water. But seriously, closed by 10 p.m. every night? Conveniently located off of 121 between Main and Paige They have a wide range of just about anything and everything. Cigars too.. The last couple of times I dropped in they were sampling liquor or some sort of cordial. I wish I could put no stars. The one star that's there is for the large selection of beer and liquor. Before we even walked in, I overheard two people walking out empty handed saying this was the worst store ever. I am 26 and went in with my 30 year old boyfriend. We had two mixed drinks to purchase after rudely reviewing my bf id she made me go out to the car to get mine. Said it was some law although we've never experienced this before. After she stared down me and my id she finished our purchase. As she was finishing her manager came over and gave her a weird look. She threw our receipt at us after being so ride the entire time. Her manager apologized and quickly put the receipt in the bag for us. It was absolutely ridiculous and ill definitely be going to star liquor right up the road from now on. read more

This store is huge! It's like the Walmart Neighborhood Market for beer, wine and spirits. They have all the big brands and the smaller batch liquors as well. Samplings occur on weekends and staff is pretty knowledgeable if you need help. It can get pretty crowded. The only thing I would change is the way the store is organized. The separate the Irish and Canadian whiskeys from the rest and this is a little confusing if you don't know the origin of your drink. Not the cheapest but the best selection. read more
