I've been ordering delivery from Tony's for almost a decade. It is always reliably excellent pizza. Whether it's raining or snowy, there's a good chance Tony's drivers are out there delivering hot pizza to the colony. But this last Sunday evening, we decided to actually dine-in for the first time. The service was great, but let me get to the food because we ordered everything. We started with the cheese bread, which comes with the best marinara sauce. I can't say enough about that marinara. Then came the stuffed mushrooms which is my favorite thing on the menu. They came out, bubbling, hot and absolutely loaded with that amazing sauce. I was dunking the cheese bread straight into it. Next, we split the lobster ravioli, which is served on top of rigatoni. Yes it's pasta and pasta. And once again that great sauce that is similar to the mushroom sauce, rich and delicious. We devoured it way too fast. And if that wasn't enough, we also ordered a medium Margherita pizza. We asked them to cook it a little longer because we like that cheese well done. Tony's just makes an excellent pizza, but I especially like the margherita because their version comes with Greek olives. We couldn't finish it so they quickly boxed up the rest for us. All in all, it was such a lovely Sunday dinner. If you were like us and I've only ever ordered Tony's for delivery, I highly recommend that you try dining-in at least once. I've been hearing about all these good things about Tony's pizza and pasta to get a New York slice whenever you want so I had to try it out. The server agreed me very warmly told me that they had a lunch special for two slices. Couldn't been happier with that suggestion so I went with that. Got two slices one pepperoni, one sausage with a drink reasonable price. This is where it gets kind of interesting as you can see they were just cheese slices that were reheated floppy pepperoni and rabbit turd sausage. I just wish places like this would go the extra mile and really make sure that the slice is stand out. read more

We were very excited to stop at Tony's to grab a bite to eat. We ordered a few slices of pizza for the table and noticed that the pizza looked very old and not fresh. The toppings on the pizza were literally cold and just laid on top after they heated up the day old pizza. The cheese was also nonexistent and old looking and didn't look fresh at all. We are new to the Metroplex. We were at Ikea late this afternoon and decided we were hungry for Italian food. Tony's is very close and had great reviews on Yelp. We decided to give it a try. (Up to now, our favorite Italian place in the area is Cafe Italia in Grapevine....original location on NW Hwy.) Tony gives them a run for their money. My go-to items to test a new place are: 1.) their bread 2.) the Caesar salad 3.) chicken piccata 4.) lobster ravioli with pink / vodka sauce. I opted for the ravioli. Their bread is outstanding....I'm guessing it's homemade. Fresh, ample salad with plenty of croutons and lightly dressed. The ravioli was VERY GOOD. Vodka sauce was excellent! Lots of lobster. Tony's IS NOT fancy. It's a dive" in the very best sense of the term. The only thing that I wish that they did differently.....BYOB wine. so mid. Did i say that correctly? It's what the kids are saying these days on the Tok, I think. Listen, it IS NY style and it's thin so it they got that going for them. HOWEVER - there's way too much flop. Someone give this pizza a little, blue pill cause it can not and will not stay up. pick up a huge slice and two things happen immediately: the entire front flops and all the toppings slide off. It was a mess. Why do toppings slide right off? well, either they brushed oil on the crust or the sauce is too watery. might very well have been both. We each literally had to use a fork to scoop the toppings back on to the pizza slice and use it to hold up the pizza so we could get it into our mouths. Another knock: I know inflation is crazy everywhere but pizza profit margin is STRONG. like anyone who knows the pizza business knows they cost very little money to actually make. So when I ordered two XL pizzas (one with beef and extra mushrooms and one with chicken, mushrooms and garlic) and the bill was $58.94, i already had a bad taste in my mouth even before the first bite. read more
