Horrible customer service from Hugo today. I purchased a premium diffuser in this store , not on line because I hate to return items so I would like to see exactly what I am buying. This diffuser only worked for 1 month before it died and I was asking for a replacement or repair . Hugo was rude and condescending informing me there is no return policy at this store . He didn't even bother the look at the product that I purchased . Don't buy anything at this store . They have no respect for their customers . Very disappointed that Gwyneth Paltrow would allow such a disgraceful attitude at her business . read more

I've always shopped on Goop online. Need a new mascara that's safe to use, has a great brush? Shop Goop. Need an eye liner that goes on great, is good for your eye, and looks great? Need a concealer or eye make up that is gentle and works perfectly? Need a shampoo that does not dry out your hair? Need a leave in before shower hair conditioner that actually works to dissolve all the knots in your hair? Need a hair brush that dissolves tangles without pulling out your hair? Need an all natural perfume that is heavenly? Heretic, omg! That stuff is addictive. I love the rose scent combined with the grass one. Gwen Paltrow takes the time to stock her store with items that you need, or ok, want, and they're no more expensive than the ones you may buy in any other store, except they work, exceed expectations, and they tend to be organic and gentle. They've been endorsed for a reason. This stuff is really great! Goop is my go to place for any cosmetics or hair products. I buy from her monthly. Disappointed with your purchase? I have been here a couple different times. The store is super cute and although the storefront seems small, it opens up into a large space filled with beautiful things-clothing, skincare, home goods, fragrance, jewelry. Many of the item are bespoke i for Goop. The store smells amazing and the vibe is very peaceful and relaxed. I have to say the real gem of the store are the employees. Very nice and knowledgeable. I was fortunate enough to meet a lovely lady, Bina who helped me purchase some candles, fragrance and an vintage looking box. She is an absolute joy and Goop is very fortunate to have her as an employee. She brings so much joy and positivity to the store. I am going to return soon. I would suggest this store for gifts or for when you want to treats for yourself to something special. The surrounding stores are very nice and the whole area has a small town feel to it which is hard to find these days. There's a farm shop a couple doors down that I recommend visiting too. read more

I've visiting this location at least 10 times in the past 3 years. I used to live close to the Brentwood Country Mart and have purchased mostly skincare from here. What upset me about Yelp and Goop is that my thorough and thoughtful review was removed because "We're (Yelp) reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed your review of Goop because it wasn't clear that your review described your firsthand experience as a customer of the business." So to prove that I actually was a customer of this store over the years, I will write that before pandemic, customer service and events around Mother's Day floral decorations were pleasant. However, during the pandemic, I had to wait outside for over 10 minutes while the 2 staff (white young ladies) left and locked the store to use the restrooms. I was one of 2 customers waiting outside in the heat.... it would've been more considerate of them to take turns one staff at a time to prevent customers from waiting another 10 minutes. They also failed to greet us when they returned and finally allowed us to enter the store. It left such an unpleasant experience that I decided to not support this brand at any of the locations I have bought items in Brentwood and Montecito. read more

I had the best experience here. I asked for a recommendation for a mascara and Taylor helped me pick one out amongst the 4 or 5 different brands. I also got a pretty pink nail polish (vegan and organic!). Taylor was also so nice and gave me a complimentary sample of their microdermabrasion exfoliator to help with dark pigmentation and suggested for next time some other products that would be useful. She was friendly and not pushy or salesperson-y. I will say I liked that both the men and women were wearing the same blue coveralls uniform and so it didn't seem so "LA". read more

Goop is one of the best additions to the Brentwood Country Mart since reddi chick!! Goop is Gwyneth Paltrows protege store. It has the most perfect dreamy mix of skincare, clothing, jewelry and home accessories. Whenever I want to treat myself with a little gift I go into the goop store. I LOVE everything I have bought here including the Ursa Major toner. Can't wait to go back and pick up some more well curated cult favorites. read more

I am giving this one star even though I never entered the store. This is regarding the Sag Harbor Store. My sister and I took my Mom to a little get away in honor of her 80th birthday. My Mom just kept saying she wanted to go "to that Gwyneth Paltrow store" ... so naturally we were going to accommodate her one request. We arrived at hotel late Sunday and we had already checked the website and knew that the store was not open Monday or Tuesday, but opened back up on Wednesday through Sunday. We were leaving Wednesday (today) so we made all our other plans and shopping plans knowing this would be our last day event. We got up and had breakfast and checked out of the hotel and this was to be our last stop before heading home. We got parking, got up to the door and there was handwritten note "we have checked out for the day, stop by tomorrow when we open at 10" or something along those lines. We could see a bunch of women in the store, but no one came to the door; we tried to door 2x. So we sadly went back to the car, and about 3 others groups of women asked us if the store was open and we told them about the sign and the door being locked and no one coming to the door. They all said "but they are supposed to be open on Wednesday ...." I was so darn annoyed that I called the store and when the girl answered I said Hi, are you open? We checked your website and it said you open on Wednesday so we specifically planned coming today" and she said ... yeah, well we decided to close today and open Thursday, you can come back then. Ummmm NO actually I can't we are leaving to go home, but why are you randomly closed???? She said something along the lines of "well we are training some new staff so we closed today, we haven't updated the website. WHAT? You arbitrarily just decide at noon on the day your suppose to be open to scratch a note and post it to the front door with no regard to customers that have checked your website and came to shop ... not to mention, who closes a store to train new employees? How about on the job training. Or better yet, after hours??? Just flat out RUDE. Hey Gwyneth, teach your employees some manners. We should have been accommodated.
