On our recent visit to Santa Monica , my daughter insisted our trip would be incomplete without a trip to this location of Frankie's and happily agreed to the 42 minute walk to the store from our hotel. This location did not disappoint. While small, it's stocked with trendy, on point clothes and accessories that my 11 year old adores. I tend to only buy her clothes here for very special occasions ( e.g. her birthday ) due to the higher price point for kid's clothes but she saved up her allowance and on her own purchased an adorable royal blue tank and bright green shorts. I loved checking out all the special occasion dresses at Frankie's ( and loved they were all out on display unlike at the Chicago store where you need an appointment for viewing most of the dresses). Frankie's is definitely the place to go when I need a special occasion dress. The people working at the store were friendly, helpful and not overly pushy - which I very much appreciated. Great store for tweens and young teens. Highly recommend.

I've seen a ton of ads online but always felt a little iffy about buying resale without seeing things in person, so I wanted to check it out for myself. Parking was actually easy, and they do one hour free with validation, which was nice. There was a security guard at the door who opened it and welcomed me in. At first I was honestly a little intimidated walking in, but that quickly went away. A guy named Liam helped me out he introduced himself and was really friendly. I told him it was my first time and that I wasn't super familiar with how everything worked, and he explained things in a really easy, non-pushy way. They have a good mix of stuff, clothes, handbags, jewelry, sunglasses, shoes and wallets. The first thing that caught my eye was a Prada bag (I don't own anything Prada so I was kind of excited lol). I tried it on and kept browsing. I also saw some really nice Chanel bags, but definitely out of my price range right now. I talked to another girl working there too and got her opinion on a bag I was thinking about, and she was really helpful as well. Everyone there was just super chill, no pressure, no hovering, which I appreciated. I did end up buying something. I wouldn't say it was a crazy deal, but it felt like a fair price and something nice to add to my collection. Liam also showed me how their app works and said they can bring items from online into the store if you want to see them in person, which is actually really helpful. I've been browsing the app daily seeing if anything catches my eye. :) I personally had a good experience for my first time going in. I'd come back and browse again if I'm in the area and see if anything stands out.

I saw this location on their website when I was checking the address for the Melrose location…read more Because we were shopping in the area, we stopped in and took a look. This is across the street from the Brentwood Country Mart and has a parking lot in the back. You're welcome to park there or on the street - for the former, they clearly state that you may only park there if you're shopping at one of the businesses in that area or you will be towed. (Definitely avoid parking here for the Country Mart.) You enter the store from the parking lot side and security will let you in - you cannot enter from the street facing side. This is a small footprint and it is well organized with racks labeled for brands you would find or themes like Chanel items on one rack, men's on another, etc. Staff let us shop on our own without much interruption. I did ask to try on two things that were on mannequins - I did have to approach someone who was not busy to assist me. She did take both items off the mannequins, one was a tank top that she ended up stretching down and off the hips of the form, versus over the head part. (I'm not sure if this distorted the top as it was stretchy to begin with, but I did have to adjust it on me when I went to try it on.) Nothing fit perfectly, so I had to pass them back to her to place back on the mannequins. Staff were not rude or cold, but I wondered if I caught some of them on an off-day, as it seemed like a challenge to find someone who didn't seem busy to assist me initially. This location focused on more colors and stylish designs, which is great if that is something you're into. Prices vary on the items, based on brand, condition, etc. While I wouldn't personally venture out to this area of LA for this location solely, I may stop in if I was in the area and it was open.
