This is going to sound crazy but... I got my wife, myself, and 6 of our friends to gather from around the country in order to come to this hat shop. And it delivered!! My wife purchased a Goorin hat years ago when they had a spot in Portland. That hat traveled the world with her until we lost it in South America. As a surprise birthday trip, I took her to Atlanta so she could replace said hat. Long story short, she walked out with 4 hats. Everyone had such a great time shopping the hats and she was so happy to be reunited with not one beautiful fedora but 4. One was on super sale and the others were all half of what I was expecting them to be. The woman working even swapped out the ribbon on one of them for another color, and was great about helping with sizing. I've never been treated with more disrespect than the service I just encountered. The employee working rushed us to leave the store because "she was ready to close down the store ", as my friends and I were purchasing hats, which are really nice hats! The staff here were so nice. Greeted me, asked if I needed any assistance. Answered the questions I asked about the different styles of hats offered. The store has so many hats, different colors, fabrics, and styles, it will be easy to find hats for yourself or someone else. I like the interior design of the store. Stanzel took the time to explain to me every detail that I needed to know in order to select the right hat for me, and then made all the adjustments necessary to ensure that the hat I chose fit perfectly. Oh my goodness... my husband and I are both huge fans of Goorin Bros, but we've never lived in a town with one. We've traveled to the Austin, San Francisco, and New Orleans locations but I have to do a shout out to Danny the store keeper at the Ponce City (Atlanta) location. Danny, you are amazing! Danny found two older hats I've been searching for that don't show up on their online store but which they had a couple sitting in their warehouse, and was able to ship them to me! Seriously, if you love quality hats that live a lifetime get a Goorin Hat. PS. I've tried their felt, straw, and cloth hats. All are really good quality, but the felt is by far my favorite. I walked into Goorin Bros. and I swear I could hear angels singing, birds chirping, while beams of light cascaded the entrance of the perfectly lit store. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND A STORE SELLING HATS FOR BIG-HEADED MEN!!! The struggle is completely real! A lifetime of baseball hats and beanies is what I had grown accustomed to. I was in recently looking for a gift for my uncle's birthday and was very pleased with the service and selection! I felt bad for being there right before close, but the girl working was super sweet and helpful despite some other rude customers who seemed to be hassling her and getting very loud/calling her names. It was my first time coming to the store, I drove an hour in the rain to get there. I liked the hats, a little pricey but an OK range of options. What I did not like was the guy behind the register insulted me about three times. I like to wear my hat low and he informed me I was "wearing it wrong" and because of that, I looked like I had a conehead. Really???? He really acted like he was doing me a favor by showing me hats instead of being grateful that I was patronizing this establishment. Then as I was paying for 3 hats another employee comes out of the back room and butts into my conversation with the first guy who insulted me and suggested it's OK to not vote and when I responded "k", in an attempt to ignore him and Move On, he passively aggressively responds "just because you and I don't agree doesn't mean I'm wrong". What the heck?!?!? It was weird and awkward and frankly unprofessional. They did give me one "free" hat box after I spent over $400 so I guess that was something. My favorite shop in New Orleans finally made its way to Atlanta. Amazing decor transforms you back to the 1920s. Everyone is super helpful and the energy the moment you walk in just makes you feel good. I have about a dozen hats from here. Danny, one of the managers, is the friendliest person ever. Flo,the cool, laid back tattooed guy that instantly makes you feel at ease, is always eager to help make sure you have the right size. Theres always a fun pop up with cocktails or live music. I am in charge of multiple Harley-Davidson Dealerships in the local Atlanta area and outside the perimeter; our brand is everything to me. Last night i was having a quick meeting with my business partner and decided to show him the Goorin Bros. store and immediately met Joni (sp?). Joni is a game changer in almost any buying experience I have been apart of...She left me wanting more. By that I mean, She took me on a journey and it was exceptional. Already loved the hats--I'd found one locally, then shopped Goorin's online and in Austin's Congress Ave store. So very happy when I read that Goorin Bros. would be opening at PCM. On our first PCM visit, family members tried on and posed, and generally had fun. SIL found a perfect-for-him hat on sale, so how could he resist? I tried on until I couldn't say no, either--to a beautiful red fedora to add to my collection. We even bought feathers to set off our selections. Next day I noticed the Cyber-Monday sale and wrote to the listed email address to ask if my purchase qualified for a markdown. Not only did I get positive response, but they had the local Shopkeeper, Daniel, call me to arrange the markdown! This was premium customer service to go with the finest hats anywhere. Experience here was unpleasant.... was at first looked over and assumed I was a touchy feely consumer! Was rudely told what a hat does and doesn't do or how it didnt bend when My money was going to make it bend how ever I wanted it to bend but your hat specialist suggest to people how incorrect they try and style their own hat they paid for which is ludacris! This guy is skinny about 6 ft wears glasses maybe for style. Danny may be his name. And by the acute reviews here you can definitely see the certain customer he tends to be totally professional with! Please evaluate this person on the importance of never disrespecting customers and also let him know the customer is ALWAYS right because that is who spends the money to keep the business running and families fed for those workers also explain the importance of secret shoppers/buyers/investors.... that he NOT potentially ran off but indefinitely ruined for his unprofessional and inadequate behavior!
