This is ginger, garlic, onion free food. Great taste which is different than the other Indian restaurants in the US.

Amazing vegan foods. We ordered the nacho for appetizer,…read morethe sauce was so delicious and great way to start out the meal. For main course, we got 6 different things plus a pizza to go, probably way too much foods for 4 people but the leftover was much appreciated even though we stayed at an all inclusive resort. Our least two fav was the pizza Margarita and the tamale. Pizza didn't have pizza sauce and wasn't crunchy, tamale was a little tough. Most favorite was the dessert. It was to die for. So presentable and delicious. Not too sweet which I loved. The main courses which hit the spot were: gringa al pastor, tacos al pastor, super queka, sopes, and enmoladas.

Not only is it a great dine-in experience, but Vegan Planet also has some great items for take-out. I do regret not trying their kombucha. Delicious, fresh, and affordable food! We had: -Raw cheese, half and half flavor, chipotle and original. (appetizer) -Alfredo Pasta -Queka (I had to google what this was) The Queka was a truly authentic, fresh, and inspired Aztec flavors! Naomi was our waiter; she was very accommodating and pleasant throughout the whole experience. We all had terrific conversations! Fire, A++, two thumbs up, 100%, 5 stars! =] COVID NOTES ***CANCUN & area was phenomenally incredible as for Covid. After a great lazy day of floating around the pool for our last day in Cancun, we almost decided to…read moreskip a nice dinner and just grab some (more) tacos from a casual spot nearby. But, after debating and reading some reviews, we decided to call (at 7pm) and see if La Buena Barra had any open tables for 7:30. Since Cancún dinner culture generally ramps up after 8, we were in luck and headed to the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by the host team and escorted promptly to a great table outside, overlooking the lagoon and the last bits of sunset in the sky. The ambience of La Buena Barra is amazing, great lighting, ceiling fans to keep a light breeze going, and music that is loud enough to prevent you from hearing conversations at other tables, but still allowed us to talk just fine. Our servers Jonathan and Estefany were the sweetest and most attentive that we experienced during our trip! Excellent food recommendations, even advising against getting a second dessert (due to their size) instead of just letting us spend more money there. Absolutely worthy of 5 star service! Ok- the food: very good, probably some of the more distinct flavors we enjoyed in Cancun. Also a very unique selection of cocktails, delivered in all sorts of unique glasses. BUT truly the best thing we ate was the corn ice cream! It's molded ice cream that looks exactly like an ear of white corn with a ribbon of dulce de leche in the center- honestly the best ice cream I've ever eaten at a restaurant! Prices per person can easily exceed $1000 pesos here depending on what you get, but it's possible to enjoy the experience on a budget. We shared an appetizer (empanadas, highly recommend), shared a large entree (ribeye tacos, comes with 7), a cocktail, side of corn, and dessert- ended up being around $1200 plus tip.

I think I like the ambience of the interior at this location better than the one in Mexico City. As…read morefor the terrace seating, you can't compare the waterfront view here. The octopus is probably the best I've had. The waygu ribeye taco is up there with the best I've had. The service is friendly and attentive. Probably one of the best - if not the best - dining option along Blvd. Kukulcan.

Mayan cuisine! We came here after visiting the ruins in…read moreMexico. This place specializes in Mayan pre-Colombian food, not Mexican food! Big difference! Many of the dishes have strange ingredients that the regular gringo hasn't heard of, which makes this even more exotic! I consider myself a mexican food expert, to some degree, and they're serving dishes that are so inventive, so wild, so fresh, so delicious! The dining area is split between a covered outside area, and seating on the grass overlooking the lagoon. Be careful, there's alligators in there! The service was fantastic- the waiter was patient, spoke English, and made excellent recommendations. I got fish with peppers, octopus ceviche, and some mezcal, followed by a honey and anise Mayan drink. All of which were delicious! My dining companion had a strange pepper with some fish- also nom! Coming here was like a history cuisine lesson, mixed with delicious food, wonderful scenery and a pleasant meal! My favorite part of this place is the artwork when you come in. They've got a Mayan god in a cenote at the doorway that just is amazing!
