Such excellent vegetarian food and green juice. The atmosphere is great and they have a beautiful Buddha to greet you I have the tofu tacos and green juice. Service was also amazing and the restaurant even has a library full of books

We wanted to try out this place with a lot of vegan/vegetarian options on our vacation in Isla Mujeres. We came for dinner and the feel is like one of those spiritually inspired vegan places with a Buddha -- you know what I'm talking about. Their motto is they provide healthy food. I was really disappointed in the food we had in Mexico (how come I didn't get one flavorful guacamole?). And this restaurant also had the bare minimum in flavors, textures, etc. The only thing I really liked was the fries on the side lol and the vegan cheese bc it was pretty impressive. I wish I liked the quality of their food at this place more, but appreciate their concept, the wait staff, and the interior. I think coming here for breakfast/lunch would be better with their smoothie bowls, beverages, etc.

We were looking for a place to get some lunch while at isla mujeres. This place is a 3-4 min walk from the main ferry terminal, easy to find. It's a cute cafe with trendy decor and ample seating. We enjoyed the fresh juices- the harmony was my favorite. We tried Vietnamese rolls and they were ok.. not a lot of flavor and served with soy sauce. They would do better with a house made peanut sauce or something similar. My husband got the ramen and he said it was decent, 3/5. I got the Chana vegetable dish which was a huge disappointment. The flavor was odd, the veggies were fresh. I wish it actually had Chana aka garbanzo beans in it. We opted for the chocolate lava cake and it was yummy. Overall a decent spot to get fresh/healthy food in Isla mujeres where most places don't have vegetarian friendly options.

Excellent stop for light healthy breakfast! Service was very friendly. Ambiance is wonderful.

Great Vegan/healthy restaurant! Did a day trip to Isla Mujeres and came across this gem. Arrived early, so the staff was kind enough to let me sit and order drinks while I wait for lunch menu to begin. Such a great outdoor seating close to the main road. A lot of fresh air comes in and they also have fans around. Great ambiance.

Great food, great coffee, great service! Was a great place to go during the rain storm. Recommend!

Servio ordinario. Ni bueno ni malo.

Great ambiance and vibe. We had mango smoothies which were terrific. Croissant was good. Large menu of very international healthy options. Always crowded early in the day, more low key at night. They also have a book exchange with many books, though not many in English. Not especially fast but there is a sign thanking you for your patience. They accept credit cards. As a PS: Other places we found with old school book exchanges or books available to read while patronizing include: Selina, Antal, Nu Balan, Nomads in Isla. The Elements in Playa. Mayan Monkey or Natura in Cancun.

Beautiful presentation, DELICIOUS FOOD and Great Service. My family has been fortunate enough to visit Isla on roughly a yearly basis (BC - Before Covid). Fortunately, this week, we've had the opportunity to return. This review represents both a Brunch (technically they were still serving their breakfast menu) and a Dinner. Both meals were excellent!!! We had 6 people and the server was the same for both meals. She was very good at her job and she made us all feel welcome. We'll be back!

After eating not so great on my vacation so far, I stumbled on this gem. This place is so good. The service was great. It stands out to me on the island as a place where you can get some really fresh vegetables and healthy food. It's good to add in there between all of the tacos y churros. I landed on the quinoa power bowl. I was expecting healthy, but not very tasty...and I was wrong. It was so good. Instead of having to force down broccoli or spinach, I was gladly pounding it. Moms everywhere should be thanking Aroma for helping their kids eat more veggies. It was so good. The flavors were like a symphony playing off of each other perfectly. I left nothing in my bowl. I don't remember which drink I had - carrot and orange maybe - but this too was delicious! Amazing food! Great flavors! Beautiful atmosphere! Well priced! Aroma...5 stars.

We had a nice breakfast here, enjoying a quieter main strip in the morning compared to the night time. They have a vast menu, and as we found with most restaurants in the area, the portions are ample and we opted to share. We had the portobello hummus wrap and the small fruit bowl. Alas, I failed to snap a pic before we dug into it. The wrap was served with a side of ok potatoes. I enjoyed my cappuccino along with the Harmony juice, a blend of carrot, orange and pineapple. It was refreshing and delicious! It was a great, light way to start our day of relaxing on the beach. Service was good. All staff are working hard to meet the demands of the busy breakfast crowd.

Mmm this was my favorite restaurant for breakfast this past week. I even had to get a tshirt from them. The avocado toast with a fried egg is divine. Great coffee!
Came just for our coffee as we strolled through the streets of town. Great service, friendly staff, and clean interior. They offer outdoor seating to people watch. It's an open concept design space so even when sitting indoors, you feel the breeze from the outdoors. read more

While visiting Isla Mujeres my husband and I stopped at this restaurant and we were very disappointed. Chilaquiles are not your traditional ones and the sauce was tomato sauce . They were not tasty at all. The service was extremely slow, the waiter came to attend to our table once. I did get a cold decaf and it good. I will not be returning anytime soon. The place is clean and nicely decorated, but the restrooms where dirty read more

Super friendly service, adorable space with great seating both I side and outside, and tasty heathy foods. Super good coffee, too! I especially love the eggs Benedict, the açaí bowl, and their flat white. Smoothies are also very tasty! All in all, a solid choice for an early meal. Pro tip: the little shops across the way are very friendly, too. read more

They staff here is very rude especially one of the man. He kept pressuring us to tip and would not leave us alone. Not only did we get the wrong stuff because they didn't bother to take a minute to confirm our order. When I asked him for hot sauce or salsa, he scoffed. read more

We were on the island around hurricane Grace so a lot of places were closed before and right after the storm. We finally got to try Aroma Isla this morning for breakfast on our last day and it was so good we came back for dinner. Great vegan options and plenty for everyone. The fresh juices were great and they had good vegan chorizo and vegan cheese for my chilaquiles this morning. We will definitely be back here when we make it back to Isle Mujeres. Abraham was our server for dinner this evening and he was great to talk to! read more
Aroma was one of my favorite restaurants on the island! I went here for three different meals. The ambience is peaceful and zen. They have fresh juices, coffees, and plenty of food options. I was personally interested in vegetarian and vegan options, which they have plenty of. Some of my favorites were: cacao with coconut water - it was so refreshing on a hot day, guacamole - it had fresh mango chunks on top and was pretty perfect, and the falafel! I also enjoyed my bowl entree with edamame and quinoa. It was healthy, but had an incredible depth of flavor for a vegan dish. I liked everything I had. It was well priced, had great service, and I felt like I was amongst friends. The owner is super nice and will happily tell you all about why he moved to Isla and opened this restaurant! I can't recommend this spot enough. read more

The customer service ruined the restaurant for me. They ignored us when we wanted a table, needed to order, and needed the check. We had to flag them down every time. To make it worse, the waiter insulted us, telling us that our tip was nothing compared to tips in America. He then stood there and continued insulting me as I put more bills down for the tip. I was planning on only leaving 10% (due to poor service) but I wish I just grabbed all the bills and walked away without leaving him a tip. The service was awful and our orders were not correct. The food was cold when it arrived. Not worth it one bit. read more

This was one of our favorite breakfast spots on Isla Mujeres, the menu looks suspiciously similar to Cafe Mogagua with the addition of the option to add vegan chorizo and vegan cheese. They're within two blocks from each other and are probably sister restaurants. There is good wifi in case you need to do work while travelling, outdoor seating, open-air indoor seating, and a wonderful selection of healthy brunch foods. The fruit was fresh, lattes were solid, beet juice was delish and all the dishes we had here were good (oatmeal, chilaquiles, etc). Attached is a photo of our second meal from here (seasonal fruit, Tostados Mollete and Classic omelette), ordering to go was quick and efficient, took less than 10 mins to get our food from ordering to pick up. read more

A yogi's paradise. This is one of the 2 best restaurants on this island. Their food is made with love & u can feel it. Their service is clean, respectful & loving energy. An easy place to eat at (all meals), especially if spending the day at Playa Norte. Recommend all juices - they all taste delicious and fresh. The latte was mediocre. Highly recommend the Huevos Rancheros - it's so crunchy and delicious. Also highly recommend the avocado toast. The service is great (timely, nice) and they take credit card. read more

When we were on vacation in Isla for Thanksgiving, we tried out this beautiful health food restaurant. The staff was extremely nice and greeted us warmly. We didn't feel rushed or that the service was too slow either. We sat out on the tables they had set up outside, and it was a warm beautiful night with the streets lit up. I ordered a drink, as well as a portabella burger with a side salad and it was filling and delicious! read more
I am mooching off the good quality wifi while I wait for the SO and kid to come back from their ice cream run. It's our 3rd day in Isla Mujeres, this is the first restaurant with dishes all 3 of us likes. Pancake and "looots and lots of" honey/maple syrup for the kid, Oaxaca vegetarian burrito for me and the grand slam with turkey bacon/scramble and home fries for the SO. I made the mistake of asking for hot sauce. I got a freshly blended habanero sauce. Mucho CALIENTE but fresh and healthy. I also ordered the 3 musketeer juice. 'Twas good. read more

Aroma is my favorite restaurant on the island so far! It has a focus on healthy eating with many vegetarian and vegan options. They offer coffee, tea, fresh juices, smoothies, juice shots, and Chocolate Coconut Water (really good!). They have a full bar and meat options also, making it a good place for anyone to visit. My wife and I came three times over five days to try different vegan dishes. The guacamole was especially good and interesting with mango and cucumber chunks they added. The chips are extra crunchy and seem fresh made. The falafel is homemade in little circles with plenty of herbs and spice. Served as an appetizer or stuffed in a pita, this is a great choice and we could tell by everyone around ordering them. The pita was light and fluffy and full of delicious hummus, cucumber, and tomato. The main courses we had were Pad Thai and the quinoa bowl. The noodles were saucy and full of sautéed broccoli, carrots, onions, and zucchini. It was reminiscent of Pad Thai dishes I've had from Thai restaurants, but different with a healthy twist. The added lime squeeze, peanuts, and pepper flakes allowed us to season it just right. The quinoa bowl had a deep umami flavor and was full of beans, edamame, and veggies. It was so simple, but so rich and flavorful. Try the vegan brownie if you can save room; or get it to go! It's denser than cake, but not as fudgey as most brownies. The strawberry sauce on top was excellent and you can add vegan coconut ice cream to make it a double dessert if you're feeling extra adventurous! You can't go wrong here! read more

My 1 year old daughter didn't eat a lot so I stopped at Aroma Isla to get her a smoothie, I asked if it was just fruit, milk and ice and was told yes, but not to order the mango because it was a syrup. I went with strawberry and saw them use syrup so I asked if that could be with fresh strawberries. The woman spoke with the employee making it but I was still given a smoothie with the strawberry syrup.... Needless to say we didn't give it to my daughter. I'm not sure why a "healthy" restaurant would even use syrup and then lie to me as if I wasn't standing there watching them make it read more

We've eaten here every night (4) on ISLA MUJERES. Other places had Vegan options and we tried a few for breakfast and lunch, but we can't get enough of this island gem. The healthy vibe is evident immediately with fresh fruits and veggies lining the wall. There is also a book exchange (or 50¢ ea). They offer a juice bar and regular bar...BUT THE FOOD...there is an entire menu of vegetarian and vegan options, but all the food is health centered. Appetizers: apple ceviche, guacamole, falafel, bruschetta - all wonderful choices. Main: Fajitas, veggie burrito, Asian wok, coconut curry - filling and delicious. But the cherry on top is the staff: Israel, Fiona, and Geo really helped make Aroma Isla stand out. It's only been open for a few weeks, but they are definitely on the right track to becoming an Isla favorite. read more
