But they took time and he didn't have to. Explained what they were doing and what to do at home. We were very happy with everyone. King maybe not but we were. Too note they have babies on the office that are very sweet and friendly my daughter feel in love with the big puppy there. We will return and thank everyone for seeing King during what we feel was an emergency. And thank you for being so kind as you handled him with his attitude but with such care.

Or do they care about me bringing her in and spending some money with them? you would think they would at least write a script until they have an available appointment when she can be seen but nope! I told them my dog was old and taking a 90 min drive from the country is a lot for her so now it's been hours of chaos between the drive and the waiting...let's not forget that when we started this medication they assured me I would only have to bring her once for bloodwork which was done but everytime you talk to a diff staff member, you get a diff answer and requirement. So here we are for an appointment that I didn't want and was told I wouldn't have to do, and we are outside for hours with me old dog panting and wound up. And again not one apology or explanation for this entire production. I would not have even started this medication if I had been told the TRUTH of what was required but seems to me they tell you what u want to hear until the time comes for them to hold the medication over your head to get you in the door. As seen in other reviews Dr Cheryl Council was the most appalling part of this entire experience. The staff was rude as well with the vet tech telling us how to raise our children...because people love that from a stranger! We were frustrated after this experience taking hours of our day and being poorly treated and rightfully so but when dr council ASKED and we calmly expressed this frustration she immediately flipped out and said "I don't want to hear it I'm doing the best I can" and then tried to refuse to see my dog that she supposedly cares about? I have never experienced such a rude and abrasive person especially when we were going out of our way to be cordial about a very continuously frustrating situation. Someone should have been apologizing about the 2 hour wait not yelling at us. Then dr council wanted to try to stare me down because I'm not paying her attention while she's speaking. God complex much? Do I pay her or does she pay me? I'm confused. Stay away from this insane woman. She MIGHT care about the animals but she does not know how to interact with human beings and her staff clearly follows suit! Several tests etc were done that we never asked for or consented to which of course racked up the bill that was priority! I wouldn't even care about the money if the customer service was even normal, forget good! The only thing I actually wanted was a rabies shot and we would've left without it had my mother not noticed before walking out the door. Several other issues were misconstrued like them coming outside to see the dog which they refused to do after agreeing AND doing so previously. Dr council has poor business and social skills. If someone had just explained and apologized correctly things would've been so different. Wishful thinking I guess! Good luck with your fur babies!

His office did not even contact us to let us know the dog was dead. We called to check on the dog and then we were informed the dog was dead. He was very cold and lacked compassion. He gave us our dog back in a blue bag. He didn't even invite us back to see her in her natural state. We wanted to take our dog home but his office insisted she stay overnight. He indicated to us when he returned to the office after leaving the dog there overnight, she was dead the next morning. He should have just let us take our dog home. We feel that his office was cashed thirsty by our interaction. We feel that they were just creating ways to squeeze money out of us. I paid him money to help us, not hurt us or our dog. Our dog was our family. I do not recommend his services. I do not recommend letting your dog stay overnight based on my experience.

When our big boy Titan needed ACL surgery, though, we had to make the trip to the main office in Gray, where Dr. Hall performed his surgery. Since February, I have made that drive about every two weeks for follow-up visits--first for his surgery recovery and then for a few issues that came up afterward. So when I say we have had consistently wonderful experiences here, I mean it! Everyone we have encountered has been kind, patient, helpful, and genuinely caring. They know Titan when he comes in, they love on him, and they have always made me feel like they truly care about how he is doing--not like we are just another appointment on the schedule. Hopefully we are finally finished with our regular trips to Gray (although with Titan, who knows! ), but I am incredibly grateful for the care he has received throughout this entire process. From Dr. Proctor and our everyday care closer to home to Dr. Hall and the entire team in Gray, we could not have asked for better people to care for our animals. I would recommend Piedmont Veterinary Services without hesitation.

I visited after passing by to inquire about services. I received a very thorough tour of the…read morefacilities & pricing. The owner was very nice, professional, and detailed. I was told that they were already booked up for Thanksgiving, which was right around the corner. However, I received a call that they had something open up, and to go online to fill out some paperwork. I also had to do a 'trial day' to see if my dog would be a good fit. This would be a paid visit, but after the trial day was over, my dog would be able to board there. The staff I met were friendly, and existing clients, very kind. After my dog's trial day, I was given something like a report card with notes about how he did that day. The owner assured me my dog was fine. I was told that his temperament, age, breed, etc., was well adjusted based on their standards. However, then I was also told that my dog needed a particular vaccination to be allowed to board there. The owner suggested a vet that would be at her kennel the next day or so, and would put me on the appointment list. I arrived at my vet appointment on time, but there was already a long line of people. When I told the vet technician that I had an appointment, they said there were no appointments. It was a first come, first serve basis vet clinic. Although it was an inconvenience, and misunderstanding, I waited patiently in the cold for almost 3 hours. My dog got his vaccine, and I paid the bill. I scheduled to leave my dog for a little over a week (9 days) on Thanksgiving week. On drop off day I was told that I had to pay for the entire visit up front, which I was unaware of, but still made the full payment. I remember the riotous choir of barking dogs in the kennel each time I drove onto the property, that I hoped would subside after I left. Yet the "Bark & Roll" greeted me each time whether I liked it or not. In hindsight, it is very strange behavior for dogs. In my experience, they usually quiet down and reach a calm stage at some point. Drop-off had gone well, and I received a couple of updates that my dog was doing well throughout the week. Unfortunately, the day before my dog's last day at the kennel, I was called and told that my micro bully puppy had bitten the owner's husband badly. Her husband was in pain, might need stitches, and she would send me pics of his hand so I could see the bite, which I never received. I apologized, respectfully, on behalf of my dog. My dog was just a year old at the time, socialized, had a stable home environment, understood basic commands, and had no history of aggression, or biting. I had never even seen my dog growl at another dog. So the whole situation was very confusing, upsetting, and unbelievable to me. Likewise, the call from the owner was also strange. It almost sounded like there was joy in her voice as she told me this bad news. There was no regretful or apologetic tone for not being able to handle my dog properly. Nor did she accept any responsibility as the human authority in the situation. I grew up with dogs and as an experienced dog owner, I know that you don't immediately blame the dog without investigating what the human in the situation was doing first. Many dog aggression issues stem from the humans that are taking care of them, the energy that those humans give out, and also the environments they keep them in. The owner went on to tell me that they kept my dog's kennel covered with a sheet as he barked at the other barking dogs and lunged at the door. I do not understand how this treatment should make a dog feel at ease in a new environment that now he cannot even see into. I believe covering his kennel might have made my dog feel more on edge, anxious and unsafe. Instead take him outside with other dogs, play/show him affection, and spend time with him to mitigate any possible aggression. I was grateful that I could get my dog the next day, the agreed upon last day of his boarding. I arrived at the kennel early that morning. The owner smiled inappropriately at me, and berated me about how bad my dog was, and how they "tried", whatever that meant. There was no concern for anyone else's well-being in her voice or attitude-it felt narcissistic. I quietly rebuked that shame, and condemnation; ignoring her cruel negativity. I glanced at her husband, with a mix of sadness, regret, and grief in his eyes. He put his head down slowly. It seemed as if he wanted to say something to me, but wasn't allowed to by some invisible force. I needed to apologize to him, get more of the story, but there was a tangible oppression that hung in the room. It said just get my dog, and flee that toxic, uninviting environment, and never look back. Maybe the barking dogs know something that we don't. As the kids say today, this place is sus! Stay far away!
