Most people don't know it, but hearing loss can lead to early onset dementia as well as many other brain deficiencies because your brain starts to shut down if it does not hear what it is supposed to. I called on the phone and spoke with Ashley. She was quick to get me an appointment which surprised me but made me happy. I then went to my first appointment with Bethany. From that point on, and currently, I am absolutely blown away by everything about this business. From the time you walk in the front door until the time you leave, you feel cared for in a genuine manner. These ladies are simply amazing! Bethany has been my primary Specialist but they want both want me to have the best experience possible. Now, hearing aids, aren't necessarily easy to fit someone with as myself, so be patient. I guarantee that if you let these ladies do their job, you will be a happy individual and Will still be able to hear the birds chirping, beautiful music, and in my case, the sounds of my grandchildren. When I asked the billing manager about extra charges for testing I wasn't made aware of until I received my bill, she told me that I should "expect a specialist to do whatever testing s/he thinks is necessary." If after the next visit, I have the same experience, I will report her to the Doctor or go somewhere else. I have seen other negative comments about her in reviews. So, I am not alone.

The office has the latest technology which made getting an updated prescription (for the first time in 17!years!) a breeze. Dr. Kardos also checks for glaucoma and other issues--a very complete exam. I am so happy that I did! The doctor was great- gave me suggestions for my issues. And the opticians have been wonderful! Kudos to Sarah at the Palmyra office! She is the best at choosing the right frame. I would try numerous frames to the point that my nose would be sore. I finally said "help!" She looked at me & the prescription, asked if I liked metal or plastic, then she chose the perfect frames for me. She took the measurements too to make sure that they fit correctly. As much as I hate wearing glasses, she made the experience so easy. I did see the doctor at the Harrisburg office because they have more openings. I picked up my new glasses at the Palmyra office.
