Service department is the worst. This is the kind of place that doesn't put price tags on thier showroom floor.... also you will over pay and its not because of adequate service. Horrible rude people that will literally try to Sabotage the customer. Extremely unprofessional, poor communication and do not care in the least about customer satisfaction. Don't ask any questions as you will be met with defense.... and then they will retaliate... vicious business and service. No star here! This family business has no customer service after they've taken your money. The stove we bought never worked and we were told to take it up with the manufacturer. They treated us like they were doing us a favor even after we spent an additional $1200 to replace the stove they originally sold us. Doug and Lauren were condescending and rude. After reading the reviews here, I see our experience was not a one off. Hateful and hostile is how it was. After 4 months it's all settled and Doug's wife apologized for her husband's temper. My wife and I bought a new SPEED QUEEN washer to replace a Maytag that was only 15 months old. The SPEED QUEEN is quieter, and much faster and washes BETTER than Maytag. SPEED QUEEN washers are more expensive, but they are very well made, with very little electronics to go bad. Our daughter has a SPEED QUEEN that she has had for a couple of years and she loves it. read more

I purchased a $1500 Speed Queen washing machine from Gorman Bros on Dec 17, 2021. It was delivered on Dec 20, 2021 and did not work. I asked that the broken washing machine be returned, and a new operable washing machine to be delivered. The company manager requested that a repairman be allowed to repair this NEW washing manager. I had to cancel the purchase order, at which time, the manager directed his employee to NOT reconnect my operable washing machine. Where do I start. If no stars were available that would be the choice. This place is awful. Went there initially because they were listed on a list our contractor provided. After meeting with Donna we did some research and the light fixture prices were in some cases double what we ended up paying for the same light fixture elsewhere. So we of course decided to purchase our light fixtures elsewhere. For the appliances it was a complete disaster and total lack of customer service. First our appliance order wasn't placed timely meaning it wasn't placed several months earlier. Then we find out two weeks prior to our home closing (in October) our wall oven wouldn't be in before Thanksgiving. Then Donna later tells us oh it's back ordered now until December. Finally we decide to purchase a different brand wall oven (pay an overage fee of 1k) and matching microwave with a different stainless finish only to have the new wall oven delivered without the matching microwave trim kit. After contacting Gormand they would not allow me to speak to a manger. Donna finally returns my calls with some huffing and puffing to state that trim kit was correct. Baby I am not blind or stupid, the trim kit stainless around the microwave doesn't match the stainless on the wall oven. After a final email with photos showing the mismatch stainless on the trim kit around the microwave Donna states well it's already installed so I can send you some options to purchase a new trim kit that matches. AVOID this place like the plague! read more

Called back and was given the name of a technician who came out and couldn't repair the washer. Called Gorman and was told to call Frigidaire because they couldn't do anything about it. I am a repeat customer. and I have purchased many items over past 14 years. Last week, I bought a new Frigidaire professional kitchen package. Donna was very kind and nice to work with. I had it installed by their recommended installer. The first time I went to use my brand new double oven, it was making a loud rattling noice. I made a video of it and sent it to my sales person. Then I called to follow up. I told them I didn't want a new appliance that was messed up on the first use. I was told that I had to go through service and use Frigidaire warranty. I was passed around on the phone and the service lady was very rude. She acted like I had done something wrong! Where's customer service?! Local company with competition should take more pride in their service. I set up service appointment for next day with technician. So far, he's not called and is "late" picking up his tickets! NOT impressed. Owner should be taking more pride in service. I want a complete replacement. Everyone is nice taking your money, but doesn't care when there's an issue. read more

We have been waiting at Home for 2 days and they won't bring the fridge inside without a $65 charge. How ridiculous! One of the owners has terrible customer service skills. Don't buy here! Watch out for bait and switch. I purchased a dishwasher and they delivered a different model # that cost $100 less than what I paid. They said discontinued but why did they not inform me prior to delivery. It wasn't discontinued. The salesman also promised a larger rebate from the manufacturer. My decision was made based upon his in the store recommendation. I said are you sure? He assured me it was. Big mistake. Customer service is terrible. They don't deserve 1 star. We just bought a new stove/microwave at Gorman Bros in Prairieville and I have to say, I have not received better customer service than what Ryan, Donna and Jessica showed us. Personable, a joy to deal with and they went above and beyond what you can expect at the big box stores. There's a reason why shopping hometown local is big on our list.
