I called them on a Thursday afternoon and they got her in by the next day! They also called me back prior to the appointment to explain they do not offer "laughing gas" but advised they will ensure she is comfortable and the dentist is wonderful with kids. The check in was fast and easy - allowing you to register and fill out all of your patient information and insurance information on their website prior to the visit, which was very nice. The receptionist was wonderful. They then took my daughter and myself back to the procedure area. The dental assistant was so nice and comforting towards my daughter, making her feel more at ease with explaining the X-rays and procedure she was about to experience. The dentist, Dr. Joseph Jurcak was amazing. He made my daughter feel at ease - from making jokes with her to even singing (and making jokes about his singing as well). This was perfect because I LOVE to embarrass my daughter with my angelic singing. He went above and beyond for her and I can't begin to explain my appreciation for that. After the procedure, the woman that handles the finances came out with her microphone and we all had a couple minutes to have some fun. She will be going back for another procedure soon. I recommend this office 100%.

Just had the most shockingly rude experience that I have ever had happen from a medical office or…read morebusiness. I have been sick for a full month with a cough and cold. So my original appointment was rescheduled, then last week my son was diagnosed with RSV, everyone in our house was considered highly contagious so I rescheduled again. When calling today to inform them that I was diagnosed with pneumonia last night (After they had closed) and assumed I should reschedule my appointment one last time, I was rudely told my appointment was being cancelled (by them) and I was no longer welcome to be a patient in their office. After persisting that I would still come in although I am sick and have documentation from my doctor. I was told abruptly that they would ask my dentist to refer me to a different office and then hung up. This has been an incredible frustrating experience. We have been though a rough time medically over the last month as a family, and to be treated so rudely as someone who is trying to be responsible and not further spread germs and disease. I am still in shock over the way I was treated. I hope this message reaches the right people and they seriously review their customer service standards with the people working in reception.

Doubled-booked me once, was unprepared and ran late all 3 or 4 times when I had arrived. Was always asking his neighbors for supplies or favors, more often than his neighbors or Forrest did (each student has their own chair and cubicle, next to each other, in a very large room of 40+ chairs) Definitely 1 star worthy. Fortunately, I spoke to a coordinator there, explained my situation and as typical protocol, switched me to a new student doctor, Brian L, who is much improved and speedier. I received a few more fillings since then (never seems to end, ugh - is this some racket here ?!) although one of them had fallen out, 6 months after they were put in ! Brian was surprised and said they should last 15 years, apologized, and didn't charge me for a replacement filling. Satisfied with the price and service that I receive but still leaves me wanting for a real dentist.

It's as miserable as a free clinic, except it's not even free. The same waiting room full of crying children experience as a free clinic. I didn't enjoy being the guinea pig for a student who had never placed a vein before, but in all truth I knew what I was getting myself into when I signed up to have teeth extracted at a dental school. Fortunately I was put under and remember nothing after that. This place is not worth going to unless you have no other options.

I had an amazing experience. I came with a dentist referral and didn't know what to expect. I had…read morebad experiences in the past and was a tad uneasy on my drive. As soon as I opened the door, I felt a calmness. The room was inviting, there was soft music playing and Miss Linda greeted me warmly and immediately with a big smile. Ms Barb welcomed me within two minutes and mentioned they would be doing some imaging and explained everything along the way. We decided on a root canal that day, my heart immediately started to beat fast and I told both Ms Barb and Dr Mickel of my past unpleasant experience, and my hesitation. They were both very affirming and encouraging. They allowed me time to center myself and gave me a squishy ball. They talked me thru it and explained every step. I made it and Dr Mickel whispered a quick blessing over me as the end. It was exactly what I needed on that day. The positive messages on the walls were great. I thanked Ms Barb in tears and she asked if she could give me a hug. I have never ever had genuine kindness shown to me at a dentist setting. I am forever a fan!

Nevertheless, if you find yourself in such a predicament, this would be the place to go. My experience at Southwest Endodontics & Periodontics was lovely from beginning to end. Dr. Vig was so very kind and pleasant. He made the entire procedure a pleasant experience. Granted, I wish we could have met under different circumstances (or not met at all! lol) and I hope I don't have to cross paths with him again (brush and floss, people!) but he was an absolute joy. Highly recommend. All the front desk staff persons were easy to work with as well.
