As someone who does not like parting with my money, I often struggle to find things to do…read more Fortunately, Centre Township Library on the corner of Kern and Miami offers a vast selection of books as well as a variety of events. The library is efficiently laid out, separated into clear areas for adults, teens, and children. There are also many alcoves with comfy seats to sample your choices. I spent thirty minutes in one reading the new Percy Jackson book before checking it out. If you ever have trouble finding a book to read, the friendly librarians are happy to help. One looked at my book list and added three new recommendations, such as Stephen King's new novel. The Outsider was a riveting story. Another saw me checking out Death Note, and suggested a variety of other graphic novels. In turn, this led me to becoming interested in graphic novels, comics, and storytelling through drawing. Every time I enter, I beeline straight toward the graphic novel shelf to find something new to read. Centre Township branch also houses events for the community. Children come every week for story time. Once a month, a euchre tournament is held. Every year, the library hosts a party in honor of Harry Potter's birthday. People from all over the city come to celebrate. And these are just a few of the multitude of events offered. The librarians even dress up as characters! Centre Township Library is a wonderful place to lose yourself in.

I come here nearly every weekend. I've only been on Saturday and Sunday so I can't comment about…read morethe weekdays, but if you're looking for an easy place to park without a lot of traffic I suggest visiting on Sunday. Just be careful in the parking lot, it's small and no one really seems to pay close attention to their surroundings-I've had a few near misses. Also be aware that on the weekends there's typically one or two homeless people out front. They've never been a problem but if you're uncomfortable about that sort of thing consider this your warning. The main branch is where I typically go. I usually request a few books to pick up and then browse while I'm there. I've never had a problem checking out or waiting in line etc. The staff is friendly enough, not very outgoing in my experience, but friendly and knowledgeable whenever I've interacted with the staff.

She briefly explained that this location is just one large room with a children's area. After that, I didn't further waste my time getting program info. This location is crossed off my list permanently.

Sorry about the other reviewer, from Indy, gave this place a 2, I have been here hundreds or times, never once had any hassle or had to deal with unruly people. The staff is always courteous and polite, and patient. I am lucky to live within 2 miles of here. That is one thing South bend does do right,its' libraries.

This place is AWESOME!…read more They have books here and they will let you read them for free! The staff is AWESOME also (shout out to Kelly and Keith!) Not only do they have books, but they also have magazines, newspapers, and books just for kids!!!! But the real reason for a 5-star rating, is that they have ALL of the Vince Flynn books in hardback standard print! AWESOME!!!

The Marshall County Courthouse in Plymouth is a magnificent facility combining an 1876 historical…read morebuilding with an updated modern addition. The original building was designed by an architect out of Chicago, Gordon Randall. The structure is Italian Renaissance made of brick with limestone trim. The grounds are immaculate with a war honor roll at one side of the Courthouse. Directly in front of the Courthouse stand a replica of the Statue of Liberty that was erected by the Boy Scouts in the 1950's to honor forefathers. Unfortunately, no cell phones are allowed in the building, so I was unable to take photos of the beautiful interior. The security staff is not very friendly and knew of no historical information about the building. The main halls and stairs of the old Courthouse are composed of beautiful white Italian marble. The marble is pristine, in remarkable condition. The ceiling of central atrium, seen from the second floor, had a stained glass rectangular backlit light below the bell tower. The courtrooms had original woodwork and beautiful murals. Most of the seating was updated with upholstery. I could not go inside to examine the murals. The new section of the building is where most non-court activities are housed. There is free parking around the Square. I'm struggling with a rating because the building is a 5 star, but the lack of information and history, brought the experience down for me.

I had some questions and they went out of their way to find answers. Also it was very clean and worked efficiently. Not much else to say other than this post office had all I needed and more.

If you are an ND student, there's no need to come here unless you live way off campus. There's a post office on campus over by grace hall and the fire station... around that area, close to the east gate.
