The pork stew was a hit. With potato dumplings (like gnocchi), it was the best choice among our group. The meat was soft and tender with just a hint of spices. It tasted fresh and the most flavor came from actual meat.
Gospoda Rogasiowa is located in Ryterski Raj resort, next to tourist attractions which include a ski slope, hiking trails and a rope park. That's why the prices are higher. So you have to pay it or leave it. With not many choices around we gave it a try. The Mom gave two thumbs up for food. We all were very glad because that's the most important thing which make us all happy.
Two kinds of pierogi, meat and cabbage, were just fine. The dough was too thick and the dish brought to our table was already lukewarm. Also the plate was not exactly clean, but it wasn't my choice and nobody actually cared.
What I cared most about was having a refreshing beer. I chose a draft of Czech Kozel and didn't regret it. The potato pancakes were also very good. Mine were served with 'kefir' which tasted more like a cream, sweet and thick. The portion of pork was so huge, we all were able to taste it. I would say go for 'Placek po Rytersku'. It's a perfect combination of potato pancakes covered with pork goulash.
The 'surówka' was the biggest disappointment. I expected a Polish style vegetable salad, but it was just semi fresh lettuce with some cucumber and tomatoes. I assume the mustard and vinegar dressing was the only option, because our server didn't ask about it.
In general we enjoyed ourselves a lot. The weather was still nice and pleasant, so we could sit on the outside patio. read more
