Dr. Bush wasn't in that day and I needed help as my cat was very sick after starting a new medication. I begged to talk with any Dr. on staff or have someone call me back before the end of the day. I was told point blank "it probably won't happen, but if they have time then they'll call." I didn't receive a call that day. Next day I was more worried about my cat and was met again with rude front office staff sighing loudly on the phone and interrupting me as I try to explain my situation and asked for Dr Bush. This time my vet was in but now I can't talk with her, but I was told to make an appointment with a tech, no Dr was needed. They wouldn't listen to my cat's situation yet and dismissed me at every opportunity. My cat lost half her body weight, continued to decline and I felt helpless. The next day I received a call from Case Manager Danielle who said she doesn't want to make excuses for how I was treated but went on to list excuses- " We are short staffed this week, Julia just doesn't realize when she's being rude but it's a problem they're working on with her.." I am so disappointed in Shakopee Vet. I have since found a wonderful place to take my aging pets. They took gentle care and concern with me and my pets and immediately found the issue with my cat. If you want supportive customer service and good veterinary care for your aging pets, I'd look elsewhere.

We were dog owners before and we were happy with our previous vets but I was interested in searching around. We landed at Shakopee Veterinary Clinic. It wasn't the closest one to our home but the reviews we read were amazing so we were willing to drive a little further. This is an all woman staff including the 3 veterinarians who are all excellent. They are extremely caring, personable, timely with appointments and the techs are outstanding too. Overall I'm extremely pleased. It's easy to set up appointments, call and ask questions too. You'll find some of the best care for your furry animals right here.

He recently ended up at an emergency vet so he was very fearful and wouldn't get out of the car. The wonderful tech and vet came out to the car and did a very quick exam on him outside. I got my dog during covid times and was never allowed to be with him during his appointment or anytime after that at my last vet. I was so happy this place allowed me to go back with my dog. The people in the back were really friendly. The people in the front were very busy and didn't even acknowledge when I greeted them goodbye. It seemed like 3 of the 4 ish people sitting in the front are just taking calls and doing appointments, which surprised me they had them sitting up front in the lobby. I think the front-end customer service could be better. They do have service plans for the animals and I did sign up for that. I hope it is worth it as it was spendy (as all of them are, but my dog's health is worth it) and now they have increased the prices. I'm glad I paid in full for the year before the prices increased. The staff is always so responsive and accommodating and kind. The pricing is fair and transparent with care packages available to help with pets who may need some extra help. I have two Westies and brought them to this location maybe 2-3 times before making the decision to look elsewhere and change groomers. Finding a groomer was hard as I started looking during the start of the COVID pandemic. When I arrived to pick up my dogs, without notice, they added an extra charge of $30-40/per dog, due to them being "difficult". I asked them what that meant, and asked them if they were biting at them, and they said no. One of the groomers did have some scratches on her arms, but didn't go into details on what happened. This place accepts anywhere from 6-8 dogs at a time, and my only guess was that maybe the combined noises from the blow driers was too much for my two dogs. Their haircuts were fine, but overpriced for the end product. I am completely happy with the current groomer we go to in WSP - Wiggles & Wags. It is a smaller location, and that could have been just what I needed for my two dogs. Leah and Alex clearly have had a lot of experience. I was concerned dropping them off after the experience at Haute Dog, but when I picked them up, they told me that "they were great - no problems". I couldn't believe my ears. I shared my experience at Haute Dog, and they said that is not the experience they had. My concern for Haute Dog is the well-being of dogs that may have special needs. My suggestion is that they get some employees who can think on the spot and find new ways to make dogs feel safe as every dog is different and has different fears or anxieties. When I picked up my dogs from Haute Dog, they could not wait to get out of that space and were shaking. Because of COVID it was another barrier that left me with many questions why my dogs were in the state that they were.

And she cut him at Least 6 places big cuts, didn't bother mentioning the cuts when picked him up. He has been wheezing non stop since appointment. He used to love groomer but he is seriously traumatized by this visit he's shaking hiding under bed and not the same dog. She took her time with her to make sure she was comfortable prior to examining her and during the examination. She fully explained to me what they would do to treat the nail and what I should do to ensure it would heal properly, as well as what I should do if issues arise. I also liked that you were provided a quote prior to any treatment being done so there were no surprises. The office staff was wonderful and very friendly to both me and my pet.
