Prior to moving away from the Flatbush area, this was my favorite "Super" Bodega. Not quite a supermarket but not just a bodega. They have a salad / juice bar, a hot food / sandwich area, a produce aisle, multiple freezer aisles, and a wide variety of organic brands. Whenever I couldn't make it to one of my favorite supermarkets or if I ran out of a not-so-common ingredient, I would come here to grab groceries and they've never disappointed me. Moreover, the staff are kind and efficient in moving the lines along quickly. I don't get a chance to visit this Super Bodega often but whenever I'm in Flatbush, I make sure to stop by just for old times sake :). read more

Months ago I stumbled upon this place because the urban (ahem ghetto) supermarket across the street didn't have organic coconut oil. I've been frequent consumer since. This place is clean, well organized and the counter guys are great. This is my go to place for fresh juices. I have also had salads, smoothies, breakfast, hot and cold sandwiches. The chopped cheese is pretty good. They also have voodoo potato chips which many stores around here don't carry. I would give them 5 stars but their french fries are not good. I've had them all, curly, waffle, sweet potato and they are consistently not good. I'm happy this place is here and its open late. read more

You don't have to go far to find fresh groceries in this neighborhood, but Gourmet Garden Market is one of the few havens for specialty wellness geared groceries. I counted no fewer than 7 different brands of kombucha and an entire section dedicated to probiotic rich food. Turmeric spiced sauerkraut, konjac noodles, and bean chips galore fill their aisles, and on my most recent visit I filled my cart with enough esoteric, healthy sounding food to make Gwyneth Paltrow envious. Also to my great delight I found packs of Korean rice cakes, different kinds of instant noodles, and enough frozen dumplings to satisfy my Asian food needs until my next HMart visit. It's not the most robust Asian food section but it's way more than I expected for this neighborhood that is otherwise devoid of Asian food grocery items. The fact that there's enough customers to support this bougie grocery is very indicative of the changing demographics of the neighborhood. With the construction of all the luxury buildings will come grocery stores like GGM selling luxury products. I will leave the internal conflict I have around contributing to gentrification and other pitfalls of operating in a capitalist world for another review. read more

If you like being followed around while you wait for the best chicken over rice, this is the spot.

I'm overjoyed that they replaced the previous store and made something better. A 24 hour deli/grocery is just what we needed. They have good selection at the deli from sandwiches, burgers, fresh salads, fresh juices, and smoothies. They make breakfast all day and also have muffins. I haven't really explored the grocery part of the store yet, but I did notice they had some fresh fruits and vegetables. I can say it's a good alternative than going to church ave to pickup something quick late at night. read more

I used to be someone who'd have given them a four or five star but dang have they gone down. Last week I had to return an inedible wrap they made which they've made perfectly 100 times before. They gave me my money back. Now today I had to take back an "omelette" which was really just scrambled eggs with cheese on top - and it was the wrong cheese. I took it back and they made another one with the correct cheese. Once again - it's not an omelette, it's scrambled eggs with cheese on top and so runny it's like soup. All this liquid sloshing around. DISGUSTING. So I called just now and told the guy who answered they need to know that I'm not the only one disappointed. While I was in there another customer and I were talking about the fact that only one of the cooks actually knows how to cook. All these employees running around but no one knows what they're doing. Today as I'd ordered, the two people who took my order (it took two of them) both interrupted me three times between the two of them as I was just trying to place the order. They don't listen. They don't know how to cook. They are completely out of control. The blind are leading the blind over there. When I went back in the second time to return the scrambled eggs with cheese on top and have them redo it I asked one of the regular workers I see at the front counter all the time, "who's in charge?" He said, "No one." !!! It's sad because I used to rely on them but no longer. New places opening up all the time. read more

All off a sudden started charging certain customers more than prices listed by trying to convince them that they've been paying more all along! Won't be spending anymore of my money here! Hope it was worth it!!! read more

With the recent change in weather, I'm really glad this place exist, literally one block away. Much better reincarnation of the former place Wholesome. More real groceries and snacks, not just high priced organic stuff all over the place. Didn't mind the organic part but everything was expensive down to the gum. Here I can go in and get Trident for example and not some unknown organic gum that loses flavor in 2 sec. The best feature of this place is that it's open 24/7. They kept the same hot food section but now you can get paninis, sandwiches, smoothies, coffee anytime. Very smart move. So far i mainly do groceries, haven't had anything yet from the food to go. Would have to report back. Going back to groceries. They have a good nut section. The salads are not wilted. Some of the fruits inside plastic like raspberries & blueberries you really have to examine before you pick them. Their sauce and tea section is varied which I appreciate. I like that they started selling poultry in the back. And it's looks really appealing. Overall very promising multi functional place. Good to use when in a hunch or snowed in. Prices are lower but it's still not cheap cheap. read more

Echoing previous reviews, this place is definitely like an upscale bodega/market. But, they have everything you could possibly need! Sweets and treats, but also health food, and fresh fruits and veggies. I've been a few times, and always a great selection. My favorite thing is that you can get a huge "make It yourself" salad for 8.99! You pick your base (I chose romaine), then you get to pick your toppings. I did a mix of veggies and Tuna, and It was very tasty. Nice to have a healthy affordable lunch option! read more

This is a gourmet market that has all the fancy or unusual brands that you like even if that means they're off brands. Good food at surprisingly reasonable prices!- I expected them to be much higher so I am always surprised. The sandwiches could use a bit more meat but thenii read more

I have shopped faithfully at this store for years and today was followed around by a worker who profiled me and assumed I would steal. I alerted counter staff who have seen me shop here weekly and was told very coldly that "people have been shoplifting lately". No apologies were offered nor was the staff member directly addressed. Save your money and go elsewhere - their prices are already high, I refuse to shop somewhere that would assume me and other black people are thieves as well. read more

The food is fresh and there is so much variety that you cannot find in other corner store deli's. The prices are wild for Lenox and Nostrand, but they are marketing to the medical professionals that come from Downstate and Kings County. The worker's seem nice, although I had limited interaction with them. I prefer to come get their "green juice" or a freshly tossed grilled chicken salad. The place is stocked so its cramped and tight through the isles. Overall, besides the prices it's an enjoyable place. read more

Would not recommend getting certain to go orders like (chopped cheese) but has pretty much everything you need!

Probably one of the better gourmet markets I've been to both in terms of quality of food and customer service. No question this is a 10/10 deli with a great atmosphere. Only flaw is no sitting location but that's expected (there is somewhere to stand and eat though) read more

I live down the street from this store and has been my life blood. Food is always great. Everyone's nice. They have a great selection of groceries for a store that size. Especially good for vegetarians & vegans. 10/10 have never had a bad experience. read more

I'm really grateful for Gourmet Garden Market being in the neighborhood. There are times (like now) where I'm craving sweets but don't want the dairy version and this stuff is hard to come by in Flatbush. Luckily, we have this spot on Nostrand Ave now and I can just run out to get non-dairy treats such as Oatly ice cream and all kinds of cookies! The customer service is also great. If they can't find something, they'll double check with someone else before letting you go. That is greatly appreciated. See you all again very soon, hopefully! I know Coronavirus has everything all crazy right now but fingers crossed you can re-stock on the Earth Balance buttery spread! I'd be eternally grateful! Thanks! read more

Love this deli! It's a great addition to the neighborhood. The salad bar is so versatile and their sandwiches are the best.

Watch the prices of what you buy. Once you get to the cashier, they are likely going to keep your change if you don't pay attention to the prices of the purchased items! read more

This deli is the worst they only cater to police officers and first responders to the point that even get a discount wit all purchases. But that's not even the worst of it all they treat AA people like they don't want them in the store or even sometimes I watch workers skip past them and it's not right at all and insult to injury.THE FOOD IS DISGUSTING you have to ask for fresh items (smfh) BUT THE COFFEE IS FANTASTIC SO THERES THAT.......... read more

Great sandwiches and dishes. And they have most anything you can think of in their aisles.

Place is great, like a very high end bodega. We get pancakes to go every weekend, they take 5 minutes and are tasty. Panini's are also good, lots of variety. Grocery selection is pretty good as well, no pork products but generally everything else. New owners have it on point, and looks like a steady stream of customers. read more
